TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14th 1978
After a particularly rough night with Remus last night, I spend the majority of the day anxiously pulling down my skirt to hide the bruises littered across my inner thighs and handprints on my arse.
Usually I wouldn't mind so much, but people are paying extra attention to me now that I'm engaged to Regulus and the millions of possible rumours that could be spread cause my head to hurt already.
I enter the great hall for dinner and my eyes immediately land on the tall lanky Gryffindor that has been on my mind all day. Remus smirks proudly at me, his eyes falling to the bruises that I'm doing a terrible job of hiding and his grin widens. I squirm under the heat of his gaze and shoot him a playful glare before heading to the Slytherin table.
"Wow, looks like Black is roughing you up real good" Rabastan comments teasingly as I approach the table and I refrain from groaning in irritation as the group's attention turns to me.
"Holy shit" Mallory mutters, noticing the bruises on my legs.
"Oh, yeah. My boy's feral" I joke with a laugh.
"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it" Regulus hums without looking up from his book, fully taking the blame.
I smile in amusement as I sit down in between Regulus and Pandora who is looking at the marks still in awe.
"Do they hurt?" The younger blonde asks curiously, poking at my thigh.
"Not really" I shrug.
"Wow" Pandora murmurs, still poking at the bruised flesh.
Leaving the girl to her own curiosity, my eyes wander around the table and they zero in on a particularly dark hickey on Barty's lower neck, causing my amused smile to widen.
I kick his foot under the table and he looks at me in confusion so I tug on my own collar slyly, mimicking hiding my own love bites. Barty's eyes widen a little and he pulls up his collar, tightening his tie.
He shoots me a grateful look and I smile, shaking my head in response.
"So, have you two love birds got any big plans for today?" Evan questions, nudging his girlfriend who is still staring at me with parted lips and wide eyes.
"I don't think so" I shrug, looking at Regulus who shakes his head without looking up "No, we don't"
"But it's Valentine's Day!" Pandora gasps.
"It's Valentine's Day?" Regulus and I retort in unison, the boy finally looking up from his book in surprise.
"Oh, for Salazar's sake. You two are useless" Mallory scoffs in disbelief "I'm going to be the one reminding you of your anniversary years down the line because you've both forgotten it, aren't I?"
"Most likely" I shrug with a nod.
"I didn't even realise it was February already" Regulus mumbles out, glancing at me with a concerned expression.
"Neither" I whisper back.
"I'm taking Mallory to Madam Puddifoots if you two want to double date" Evan offers.
"Thanks, mate, but I think we'll find something to do" Regulus assures him and the Rosier boy shrugs nonchalantly.
"Suit yourselves" He chirps.
"And by something, you mean that you're going to break Angel's back" Rabastan mutters under his breath but we all hear and our friends snigger in amusement while Regulus rolls his eyes.
"Who's your valentine again, Rab? I didn't quite catch their name" I quip sarcastically.
His teasing grin falters and he glares at me in irritation, proceeding to throw a teaspoon at me. The other laugh as I catch the spoon, throwing it back at him and watching as it hits him square in the forehead.
"Ow!" The Lestrange boy whines, grabbing his head in pain.
"Don't fret, big brother. I'm sure someone would love to be your valentine" Pandora assures him with a pat on the back.
"That's easy for you to say, dora. You have a boyfriend" Rabastan grumbles, rubbing the spot between his eyebrows.
"I may or may not know of a certain Gryffindor who is yet to be asked out" I hum vaguely.
"I'm not asking Sirius out" Rabastan retorts bluntly.
"I wasn't talking about that numpty because unlike you, he already has a date" I snap sassily.
"Good, he's not my type" Rabastan replies.
"Sirius is everyone's type" I state matter of factly.
"That's my brother you're talking about" Regulus looks at me in disgust.
"Sorry, love" I hum, patting his shoulder.
"So who is this mystery Gryffindor?" Rabastan cuts in impatiently.
"You really want to know?" I question.
"Obviously, you wankstain" He groans.
"I will throw another spoon at you, Lestrange" I warn him with raised brows.
"I do apologise, Evangeline. Now, will you please just tell me?" He pleads.
"Mary Macdonald" I answer simply "She's hot, funny, single and, in my opinion, way too good for your whiney arse. Fortunately for you, I heard from a reliable source that she's into you"
"Macdonald is into me?" Rabastan hums quizzically, his gaze drifting to the Gryffindor table.
"Yes, and if you tell anyone that I told you, I will slit your throat in your sleep and feed you to a basilisk" I threaten him.
"Basilisks aren't real" Rabastan scoffs.
"Do you want to bet your life on that?" I question and he pauses, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
"What do you know that I don't, Malfoy?" He asks.
"Many things" I smirk.

"We'll see you both later" Mallory tells Regulus and I.
"See you later" I smile.
The small group of Mallory, Evan, Pandora, Xenophilius, Rabastan and Mary start making their way towards Hogsmeade and I turn to Regulus with a teasing grin.
"You got any hot plans with your boyfriend?" I question my best friend.
"Maybe. Have you?" He smirks.
"Maybe" I hum.
"Room of requirement?" He suggests, holding out his hand to me.
"Room of requirement" I confirm, taking his hand in my own.
We make our way down the corridors, smiling at passersby and greeting people who say hello.
As we reach a dull deserted hallway, a large wooden door appears on the wall and we enter the room. The room almost resembles a common room with comfortable looking couches, a table and a fireplace.
Regulus and I flop down onto one of the couches and I lay my head in his lap, smiling up at him warmly as he runs his fingers through my hair.
"I got a letter from my mother" Regulus admits.
"Oh, yeah? What did she want?" I ask curiously.
"She was wondering if you wanted to wear her wedding dress or if you were going to wear your mother's" He answers.
"You mean my traitorous mother" I counter with an eye roll, knowing exactly how Walburga worded that question and he chuckles, nodding.
"Those were her words, more or less" He confirms.
"Can't a girl have her own wedding dress?" I huff out.
"You can have whatever you'd like, princess" He tells me and my lips tug up into a smile.
"Do you think she'll be upset with me?" I question as I tug the boy's tie to loosen it, knowing he hates how tight it is around his neck.
"Oh, yes" He laughs "But I'll tell her to piss off"
"In your dreams maybe" I scoff and we both let out laughs.
"Are we interrupting something?" A deep voice asks and I prop myself up on my elbows to look over the back of the sofa, Remus stood there with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I think we're interrupting" Barty nods from his place next to Remus.
"You caught us red handed" I sigh jokingly "We were just about to shag"
Regulus chuckles loudly in amusement and I giggle, watching the two boys who stare at us with unimpressed expressions.
"Lighten up, will you?" Regulus laughs.
"I think we're in trouble, Reggie" I lowly tell my best friend.
"Oh, dear" He murmurs.
We share a look of raised brows and pursed lips before we both burst into another fit of giggles, Regulus throwing his head back while I collapse onto his lap.
"You two are so immature" Remus huffs, the boys storming over to us.
I'm swept up and thrown over Remus' shoulder, causing me to squeal in surprise and Regulus is yanked to his feet by an irritated Barty.
"Good luck" Barty says to Remus, his eyes darting to me.
"Right back at you" Remus replies, gesturing to Regulus who is covering his mouth to smother chuckles.
"ร plus tard, ma petite รฉtoile!" I grin happily.
(see you later, my little star)
"ร bientรดt, princesse!" Regulus smiles widely.
(see you soon, princess)
Remus abruptly apparates us away and I recognise the surroundings as being the forest. I'm carefully placed onto my feet and my eyes meet the honey brown of his pair as they stare down at me.
"Hi, Moons" I smile sheepishly.
"Hello, cub" He replies, a smile tugging at his lips.
"You look handsome" I compliment him.
He glances down at his brown sweater and faded jeans with a raised brow before looking back at me in confusion.
"I look the same as I always do" He states.
"Mmhm, and you always look handsome" I elaborate.
His cheeks are dusted with a light pink and I lean up on my tippy toes, pecking the brunette's lips sweetly.
"You're lucky that you're good with words" He narrows his eyes at me playfully.
"It's a blessing" I smile smugly.
I glance behind the boy and notice that there is a blanket on the grass near a small stream, a picnic basket next to it.
"What's this?" I question in surprise.
"Happy Valentine's Day" Remus smiles.
