FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7th 1977

I'm awoken to the feeling of Remus running his fingers up and down my spine with one hand, the other firmly on me hip. I lift my head from his chest and he smiles at me warmly.

"How long have you been awake?" I ask him sleepily.

"Not long" He answers.

We fall into a comfortable silence, just smiling at each other and I reach up, gently tracing the scars on his face with my pointer finger.

"I still like your scars" I murmur.

"Why? They're hideous" He states, frowning.

"They're not hideous at all, Rem. They make you unique" I counter matter of factly "One of a kind"

"I think they're ugly" He tells me.

"I think they're pretty" I reply, pressing a kiss to his nose "Pretty boy"

He blushes a bright red and smiles bashfully as I shower him in attention, peppering kisses all over his face until he's laughing.

A book with a worn emerald green cover sat on Remus' side table catches my eye and I reach out, picking the object up. As I open the book, something falls out and Remus jolts up with a worried look on his face. I carefully pick up the pressed, wilted flower and I raise a brow in surprise, turning my whole body to look at the Lupin boy who burns pink in embarrassment.

"Is this the flower I dropped on the train when we first met?" I question him.

"No" He lies.

"Remus John Lupin" I say sternly.

"How do you know my middle name?" He asks me in surprise and my cheeks turn just as red as his.

"Don't change the subject, Lupin" I warn him and he grins, gently taking the flower from between my fingers.

"I may have kept the flower" He shrugs.

"Why would you do that?" I ask him.

"To remind me of the pretty girl who liked my scars" He admits and butterflies erupt in my stomach.

I lean in and press a feather like kiss to his cheek, a soft smile gracing both of our faces.

"I should get going" I tell him as he places the book and the flower down on his bedside table once again.

"Stay" He protests, intertwining our fingers.

"I wish I could, but I don't think James nor Sirius would be very happy about that at all" I counter with an amused smile and he lets out an annoyed sigh.

"What they think about you doesn't matter" Remus grumbles as I get out of bed and start pulling my clothes on.

"They're your best friends, Rem. Their opinions will always matter" I correct him.

"But it doesn't make me like you any less" He assures me and I smile warmly.

"I'm glad" I hum.

I finish tying my green tie loosely around my white collar before slipping on my shoes and holding Remus' sweater out to him.

"Keep it. I have tons" He waves me off, pulling his plaid pyjama trousers on.

I try to hide the excitement buzzing from me as I slip the large item back on, my skirt becoming hidden by its length and my hands disappearing inside the sleeves.

"Why are your arms so bloody long?" I laugh, lifting my arm and batting the dangling sleeve at the boy.

"I beg your pardon" He retorts dramatically, glancing at the spot that I hit him.

"The sleeves are too long" I add, flopping them around childishly.

"Then roll them up, you fool" He tuts, grabbing one of my arms and tugging me towards him.

I watch him intently as he rolls the sleeves up on both arms so that my hands are now visible and I grin at him, reaching up on my tip toes to place a kiss on his lips.

"Would you like me to walk you to the dungeons?" He offers.

"No, but thank you. I'll be much happier knowing that you're safe in here. Amycus is still out for blood, specifically yours" I answer him and he nods.

"That doesn't sound like much fun at all" He hums and I roll my eyes playfully.

"I'll see you around, Rem" I chirp.

"I'll see you later, cub" He confirms, leaning down and pressing his lips to my own.

The kiss is short and sweet, leaving us both smiling like fools as I pat his chest and make my way out of the marauder's dorm.

Just as I think I'm going to make it out of the Gryffindor tower undetected, a blur of blonde swiftly blocks my exit and I come face to face with a narrow eyed Marlene McKinnon.

"I don't trust you" Marlene declares.

"I'll get over it" I shrug nonchalantly.

"What game are you trying to play?" Marlene adds.

"Are you just mad that I slept with your girlfriend then your best friend and completely skipped over you?" I ask with a smirk.

"No, I'm not mad about that. But for the record, I would like to know why I was left out" Marlene retorts.

"Truthfully? You were next on my list" I admit and the McKinnon girl fights off a smile.

"Well, that's just lovely" Marlene states "I see that you're wearing a moony sweater"

"A moony sweater?" I repeat with a raised brow.

"I don't know. Peter started it" She shrugs "Anyways, how did you acquire it?"

"I drugged Remus and stole it" I deadpan and she blinks at me, as if she's not sure if I'm kidding or not.

"You are definitely having a laugh, right?" She questions in an unsure manor.

"Yes, McKinnon. I am having a laugh" I assure her and she lets out a relieved laugh, wiping her brow dramatically.

"I assume Remus finally lost his ticket to Virginia?" Marlene asks me with a suggestive wink and I can't help but crack a smile.

"I think you should ask him about that" I reply, the smirk on my face letting her know exactly what happened.

"Oh, that sneaky little bugger" Marlene gasps.

Marlene and I are interrupted when the common room door opens to reveal Lily, Dorcas and Mary.

"That's my cue" I declare, winking at the McKinnon girl.

"Have a good day, Angel" The older blonde waves me off as I walk towards the door, passing the Gryffindor trio of girls.

"Wow. We're on a nick name basis now, Marls?" I grin in amusement, glancing back at her.

"Don't make me regret it!" Marlene hollers at me.
