It's mid afternoon and soon haldi will take place. After the incident with Malhotras the guys didn't bother asking them again about alcohol.

Manik was sitting on bed in yellow kurta after talking on the phone with his friends. They were going to come today that's why they called to inform, that they are on the way.

"Manik! Manik!" Shouted his chachu making him look at the door.

"Tu abhi tak yahi hai. Jaldi kar. Ladki ke yahan haldi bhi bhejni hai." Manik bobbed his head and moved towards the downstairs for his haldi.

"Manik, chal. Aa. Yahan baith." Manik settled on the small stool and ladies got him haldi. Neonika did his arti and put vermilion on his forehead.

Dadi came forward to apply haldi on him. He smiled at her and she did same.

"Hayee! Kitna bada ho gaya hai tu Manik. Itu sa tha jab tujhe godh mein liya tha. Aur aaj dekho tujhpe haldi laga rahi hun. Khush reh humesha." Saying this she pecked his head making smiled at her words. For the first time she spoke something really nice regarding his wedding.

Then came, his father and mother they also applied it happily. His bhabhi and brother too came to apply haldi on him. He smiled at them and let them do the honors.

Many people did apply haldi on him which made him look more like a yellow chicken rather a human being.

It took almost an hour for them to do all this. Out of nowhere someone threw a bucket of water on him making him gasp and other shock.

"What the hell!" He screamed on top of his voice. As soon as he turned he saw his friends laughing their life out. He glared at them and scolded them.

"Pagal ho kya? Aise kaun karta hai? Bimar pad gaya toh?"

"Abey! Chill na. It's one and only friend's wedding yrr! Hum yeh nahi karenge toh kaun karega?" Cabir said making him sigh.

"Arey! Bas bas. Cabir, Aryaman bas. Haldi lagao aur use nahane ke liye bhi jana hai. Sardi bhi ho sakti hai agar jyada der tak isko aise bithayenge toh." Neonika said to which they bobbed their head. They applied haldj fully on his body and face making him glare at them.

They clicked pictures together and later on his was told to have bath but not before putting off a bit of haldi of his body into Nandini's haldi.

It was decided that Neonika and dadi  along with Vivek will go to Nandini's house in the car which was rented by them for the wedding.

Once they had gone even Manik was done. He came out of his room and was going to step out of the house when Sneha stopped him.

"Manik! You can't go out now. Haldi lagne ke baad dulhe ya dulhan ko ghar se niklna mana hai."

"Par...bhabhi..."

"Manik! Ek kadam bhi ghar ke bahar nahi." Listening his bua's strict voice he sighed and went back to his room only to see his friends sitting on the chair talking among themselves.

"I don't understand why people made these rules. Ugh! Ghar se niklana mana hai. Seriously." He huffed and settled on the bed. Cabir and Aryaman sighed and said

"That's because, kal shadi hai aur kuch bura na ho isliye ghar se jana mana hai. Abhi tu humse baat cheet kar. Bata, bhabhi kaisi hai?" Cabir asked to which Manik sighed and replied

"She is fine. I mean she is understanding ofcourse. I don't know what to say. She is different." Cabir and Aryaman smiled.

"Vaise maine suna hai ki tum dono ke beech 5 saal ka gap hai. And she is still studying. How come did you agree?" Listening to Aryaman's questions Manik turned to them and said

"Yeah! Humare beech 5 saal ka gap toh hai. But maine kahan na she is different. And when I know she is prefect in every term I don't want to lose her. Aur tum logon ko pata hai. If I had said no to this alliance dadi kisi aur ke le aati. Aur shayad meri kismat mein Nandini hi likhi thi. Isliye maib aaj yahan khada hun."

They bobbed their head and went back to talk about their college time.

Sharma's House

Malhotras reached Nandini's house. They all welcomed them nicely. Nandini was already ready and they being on time they decided to start the function immediately.

"Bahut sundar lag rahi ho Nandini." Neonika said to which Nandini smiled and thanked her. Neonika applied haldi on her and so did dadi and Vivek. Once they were done they left from there as they needed to look after the things.

"Navya! Jaa jaldi se Neha ke mummy ko bula ke aa. Aur Prachi...jara meri madad karna." Nandini's mother said coming out from the door caring the another bowl of haldi for the function.

Prachi helped her and soon many people gathered around Nandini. They applied haldi on her. Her parents were emotional and so were her relatives but she knew her relatives were just doing to show others.

After like more than 2 hours Nandini was finally asked to go and have bath. Nandini's mother was in the kitchen doing something when his sister-in-law came.

"Bhabi! Woh ek rumal nahi toh atleast kapda hai kya?"

"Kyun? Kisi ko chot aayi hai kya?" She asked worriedly.

"Arey nahi! Nandini jaisi hi bahar aayegi uske hathon ke chura ko dhakna hoga. Woh dekh nahi skati na." Her sister-in-law replied making her understand.

"Haan main toh bhool hi gayi. Maine deti hun. Aur uske kapde diye hai na?" She bobbed her head and moved out from there.

Inside the bathroom, Nandini was very tensed. Her throat was already forming lumps making difficult for her to breath. It's really hard to leave their own family within 1 day that they have spent from their childhood.

When she was going to come out she had heard her mother talking to her relatives about her leaving the house.

She couldn't control and cried in the bathroom for atleast 10 minutes. She composwd herself knowing it's already late and she couldn't stay inside more now.

She got changed and came out. As soon as she did she was made to sit and tie the the cloth on her wrist covering the chura.

"Acha Nandu sun. Tu khana kha le aur so ja. Hume toh deri ho jayegi. Aur haan ghar se bilkul bhi bahar mat nikalna. Kal jaldi uthna hai. Aur Prachi ke mummy ko phone karke bolna ki woh yahi rahegi." Nandini bobbed her head taking her phone to call Prachi's mummy. Her mother turned to Prachi and Navya who were busy in attending the guest.

"Prachi Navya. Chalo tum dono bhi khana kha lo aur Nandu ke sath raho. Prachi teri mummy ko bola hai tu yahi rahegi. Tere kapde bhi yahi hai. Jao. Chalo. Utho. Kal jaldi bhi uthna hai." They bobbed their head and went to have food.

Nandini, Navya and Prachi completed their food and went to Nandini's and Navya's room. They settled on the bed.

They didn't know what to say. One was dealing with how to leave her family and other one were dealing with how to send off their sister. Though she is Prachi's friend but she is a sister to her more.

"Let's go to sleep." Nandini said softly which got their attention. They bobbed their head deciding they will talk in the morning. They couldn6sleep properly in the night. They used to get in between.
