Sharma's House

The house is in full mood of getting things ready for the marriage. Only 3 days are left for Manik and Nandini's marriage. Today Nandini and other girls in the house will apply mehndi on their hands.

"Navya...jara yeh phupha ji ko de ke aana. Angan mein hai woh." Her mother said handing over her tray of tea. She moved out and served the tea and came back. While coming 2 aunties asked her for tea and she bobbed her head.

"Kitna chai peete hai yeh log. Ek ko mila nahi ki dusre chalu ho jata hai. Maa! Maa!" Navya shouted coming inside the kitchen to see no one there. She knew she herself have to prepare the tea. Once done she poured the tea and went to give those 2 aunties their tea.

"Arey beta...do hi cup le aaye? Bakiyon ke liye bhi le aati." One of them said making her frown.

"Sirf aap dono ne hi mangi thid chai. Isliye maine 2 hi cup banayi. Agar chai chahiye toh aap kisi aur ko bol lo. Mujhe kaam hai." Saying this she went away.

"Kaisi batmeez hai ysh ladki." One if them said making all agree. Navya cared least about them.

Nandini came out of her room and went towards the her friends who were going to apply mehendi on her hands. She settled on the mattress on the floor. And beside her soon everyone started gathering which was making her hell uncomfortable.

"Arey! Ruko. Main lagati hun. Tum uss hath mein lagao." Prachi said coming towards them. Nandini smiled and forwarded her right hand. Prachi smiled working on her hand.

"Arey! Gaane shane bajao. Shadi ka ghar lagna chahiye." Nandini's paternal aunt said making all agree. Someone put on the speakers with God's songs making the younger clan frown.

"Yeh shadi mein kaunse aisw gaane bajte hai? Bhagwan ke gaane?" Prachi said making Nandini pout and bob her head. Out of nowhere a boy got up and connected his phone with the speaker and put on some romantic songs making all frown.

"Arey! Itna acha gaana kyun change kiye Pritesh tune?" His mother asked to which he replied.

"Kya mummy....shadi hai naki bhajan kirtan. Bhagwan ke gaane sunkar kya karoge...huh! Abhi rehne do koi hath nahi lagayega mere phone ko." Pritesh giving them warning. Nandini and other's chuckled listening to their talks.

Whole house was in a mess. Many of them were coming and going. Tomorrow by afternoon the mandap will be up infront of their house. Nandini felt everything was going in haste which was breaking her heart.

"Tu aaj college nahi gayi?" Nandini asked Prachi who shook her head.

"Teri shadi hai. Main kyun jaun college. Huh!" Nandini sighed and listened to the songs. More 1 hour passed. Both her back and front hand was done. Now only thing left was her legs. Prachi said she will do it and let other have their food.

Nandini's mother came beside Nandini to feed her food. Nandini got emotional because somewhere this will be her last morsel fed by her mother.

"Yrr! Aunty. Mujhe bhi khilao. Main bhi jabse bhuki hun." Prachi said to lighten the mood. Nandini's mother chuckled and fed her the food. Soon she finished feeding them food and so was Nandini's mehendi done. But to Nandini's bad luck she can't move from there. Sighing she took the wall and kept sitting there.

Soon Navya and Prachi also sat to apply mehendi and other ladies also.

Malhotra's House

Manik parked his bike after a tiring half day from his office. He entered inside the house only witness many people already in the house. He smiled at them and was going away when someone called him.

"Kya yrr Manik....shadi hone wali hai aur kaam khatam hi nahi ho raha tera."

"Aisa kuch nahi hai chachu....woh urgent kaam tha isliye chala gaya tha. Aap log enjoy kijiy main aata hun." Saying this he left to freshen up in the common room.

"Neonika. Jara sui dhaga dena." One lady asked to which Neonika asked Sneha to give.

Sighing she gave them the needle and the thread and wemt back into the kitchen to work. She don't know why she was feeling like this.

Manik changed and came out only to be pulled by one lady who asked gim to sit beside him.

"Kitna bada hi gaya hai tu. Chal mehendi laga le." Sighing he forwarded his hand since he knew there is no point at arguing with them. Raj came inside a bit tensed. Seeing him Neonika was worried.

"Vivek...jara yahan aana." Saying this he called him who bobbed his head and excusing himself he followed him. Manik frowned seeing Raj a bit tensed. Once he was done he too followed them out.

"Ji papa boliye." Vivek asked, Raj sighed and asked him.

"Tere paas 5 hajar hai kya? Thodi jarurat thi." He frowned and asked why.

"Woh, humne gadi jo book ki thi uski liye chahiye. Mere paas kam hai isliye pucha."

"Mera paas nahi hai dad. Aap kisi aur se mang lijiye." Saying this he turned to go but stopped in his track seeing Manik there. Manik was disappointed at Vivek but he didn't speak anything.

"Papa, aap chinta mat karo. Main Rakesh uncle ko paise bhej dunga. Aap jao andar." Manik said to which Raj agreed and went inside. Manik sighed and followed him. He directly into his room and called Rakesh and told him he will G-Pay the money.

He did that and was going downstairs to have his evening snacks when he saw Vivek handing money to his father-in-law. Manik sighed and went away.

He was getting bored, so he thought to call Nandini, but dropped the idea knowing she must be busy.

"Maa...main aata hun." Manik got up saying this but was stopped.

"Nahi! Tu kahi nahi jayega. Chup chap se ghar pw baith. Kal haldi hai aur mujhe koi problems nahi chahiye. Agar kich ho gaya toh. Jaa thoda rest le le." Neonika scolded him. He sighed and went to his room.

In Vivek's room scenario was totally different. Mens were drinking there except for Raj as he doesn't drink. Sneha came in the room to take something but stopped seeing them all. She excused and went out again not bothering to say anything to them.

Seeing her displeased look Neonika asked what's the matter. She informed her what's going in ger room. Neonika frowned as she clearly knows drinking was only allowed on the terrace and nowhere else.

She spotted Raj talking to her father. She moved to him.

"Raj aapse kuch baat karni hai." He excused and they both went in the corner.

"Raj, aap jara Vivek ke room mein jaa kar thoda samjhaye us sabko ki upar terrace pe chale jaye. Yahan saare mehmaan hai acha nahi lagta aise pi kar. Aur Vivek ko bhi." Raj agreed and went upstairs.

"Arey! Bhai. Yahan kyun pi rahe ho sab? Vivek...room mein allowed nahi hai. Upar terrace pe jao." Vivek got up agreeing but seeing his friends and other relatives not getting up he sighed.

"Arey! Yahan piyo ya vahan...baaat toh ek hi hai na. Room mein vaise bhi kaun aata hai." One of them said making Raj sigh.

"Dekhiye, ghar mein mehmaan hai. Acha nahi lagta. Toh aap baat maan lijiye aur upar chale jaye." Raj requested again but then it turned out a heated argument.

"Dekh Raj! Tu pita nahi hai iska matlab yeh nahi ki hum na piye. Aur tum jao..." They continued that. Raj sighed and turned to gp but stopped seeing Manik there all in anger. Raj mentally slapped his forehead.

"Uncle aapko papa ne bataye hai toh chale jaiye na terrace. Kaunsa aapko bada pathar phodne ko bol rahe hai. Chaliye sab...upar jaiye." Listening him all sighed and went away as nobody wants to fight with groom and also they how he is.

The ended at a pretty good note except for few here and there things at Malhotras but Sharma's was peaceful one.
