It's Saturday today and as usual Nandini was at home since University gives off on weekends. The days at her in-laws were going fine. She is missing her family but she couldn't just go like that.

It's 11:30 and Nandini just had bath and went directly to the kitchen. Since Neonika and Sneha had gone to the market she knew it's her alone who will have to cook today.

"Kya banau? Kya banau?" She was repeated the words looking around. Once she opened the fridge and and checked. Glancing it at last she decided to mix vegetable, some chapattis, rice and daal.

"Pehle aata gund leti hun." Saying this she took a big bowl and added the wheat flour and a bit of salt and mixed it nicely. She made a proper dough after adding water to you it and kept it aside. Washing her hands she took out vegetables likw carrot, potato, french beans, grean peas, cauliflower etc to cut them.

It took her almost 2hrs to complete and it's almost lunch time now. She knew everyone will come shouting for food. She put the last chapatti on the tawa when Neonika and Sneha came.

"Nandini....pani dena jara. Neonika aur Sneha aa gayi." Dadi shouted from outside making her sigh also fliping the chapatti.

"Ji, ek minute." She shouted turning off the stove and filled the 2 glasses and gave it to them after coming out from the kitchen.

"Khana ban gaya?" Neonika asked seeing the time.

"Ji, aap sab fresh ho jaiye. Main tab tak khana bahar lati hun." Nandini went inside again in the kitchen to get the cooked food out. They have a small dinning table but it wasn't enough for them so they used to sit down on the floor.

By the time Nandini served in plates all came except for Manik who had gone to work. They all had lunch without talking and Nandini was feeling really bored now. She was tired also. Once they were done, Sneha went to her room and so did others leaving Nandini alone to do the remaining chores.

Taking a deep sigh she cleaned everything. She came out in the hall and settled herself on the chair and drank some water.

"Shit! Kapde!!!" She cursed under her breath for forgetting to put the clothes on the terrace to dry. She took the bucket filled with clothes and went up on the terrace. By the time she was done it was already 4:30.

She decided to take a small nap and then sit to study. She lied down on the bed and slept immediately being tired. The other side her phone pinged woth message from Manik but she couldn't reply since she was fast to sleep.

6:30 PM

Everyone were in the hall watching TV and having tea except for Nandini who is still sleeping and Manik who still hasn't returned yet.

"Abhi tak uthi nahi Nandini?" Raj asked sipping on his tea. Neonika shook her head.

"Itni kya sona hai usko? Huh! Main hoti toh pura ghar sar par utha denge." Sneha murmured under her breath which was only heard by Vivek who shook his head.

At that time only Manik came home being tired of continuous work. Seeing him Neonika smiled and went to get him water.

"Waah! Sab ek sath." Manik said settling on the empty chair but frowned on not finding Nandini.

"Jisko tum dhund rahe ho woh abhi tak so rahi hai. Vakt ka koi lihaaz bhi nahi hai." Dadi taunted making him sigh. Neonika gave him the water who had it immediately and went to his room.

He opened the door and frowned seeing her frowning in sleep. Keeping the bag on the chair he moved towards her and woke her up.

"Hmm...what time is it? Aap kab aaye?" She asked sitting on the bed in worry.

"Relax, just aaya main. Kya hua tumhe? Itni der tak so rahi ho? Tum theke ho na?" He asked worriedly because he couldn't find any sign of fever.

"I don't know, sar dard karne laga toh so gayi vakt ka pata bhi nahi chala. Shit! 7 bajne aaye! Sab kya soch rahe honge...oh god!" She was blabbering and seeing her he sighed making her look at him in worry.

"Kuch nahi hua hai. Unhone chai pi li. Sar dard kar raha tha toh so gayi usmein kya badi baat hai. Acha, abhi bhi dard hai kya?" He asked holding her hand in his trying to soothe her.

She bobbed her head instead of being verbal. He held her head and pecked her forehead.

"Main aata hun fresh hoke. Phir neeche jaate hai." Before she could reply Manik left the room to downstairs to the washroom. Sighing she got up and comb her hair and went out.

She came down when dadi taunted making her look down.

"Ho gayi neend puri? Nahi huyi toh phir se jao so jao."

"Nandini, chalo yeh chai pi lo. Sar dard kam ho jayega." Neonika said handing her the tea but Nandini frowned thinking how did she come to know about her headache.

"Manik ne bataya. Woh aa jayega. Tum baitho. Kuch khaogi?"

"Nahi maa, vaise bhi thodi der mein khana khana hi hai." She replied making Neonika smile. Patting her head she went inside the kitchen and soon Manik joined Nandini for his evening tea.

After an hour Nandini started feeling hungry. After staying for almost 2 weeks she was still not used the dinner routine of this house. In her house she used to have food by 8 and now it's already passed 8.

"Maa, meri green color ki shirt kahan hai?" Vivek asked coming out of his room Neonika frowned listening him.

"Mujhe kaise pata tumhare kapde kahan hai. Sneha se pucho use pata hoga." Neonika said and went into the kitchen to heat the food.

Vivek went and asked Sneha about the shirt to which she replied that it was washed today.

"Dhoyi hai toh mil kyun nahi rahi hai mujhe?" Vivek shouted making her flinch. Listening the loud voice Nandini came inside the kitchen.

"Mujhe nahi pata. Main toh maa ke sath market gayi thi. Nandini ne kapde dhoye hai aaj." She said, Nandini slapped her forehead and immediately said

"Woh kapde upar hi hai shayad. Main leke aati hun." She ran out of the house to go on the terrace. Vivek sighed and went from there.

"Kapde upar daal ke yeh so gayi thi. Huh! Atleast bata toh deti." Sneha said in anger. Neonika shook her head in disbelief and continued her work.

Nandini came down collecting the clothes and directly kept them on the chair and immediately gave Vivek his green shirt. He took it and went to his room.

"Nandini, baad mein samet lo kapde, pehle khana kha lo." Neonika came to call her who was folding the clothes.

"Bas maa ho gaya hai. Aati hun." Before Neonika could say anything Manik held her hand and took her towards the dinning area.

"Manik...woh kapde...."

"Chup chap khana khao. Dawai lo aur so jao. Kapde kal bhi samet sakte hai. Maa hai bhabhi bhi hai. Woh log bhi kar sakte hai." Manik said making Nandini sigh and look at Neonika who bobbed her head where as Sneha sighed thinkinh about more work.

"Manik...aapne meri notebook dekhi hai? Kabse dhund rahi hun mil hi nahi rahi." Nandini came down asking Manik who was enjoying the movie.

"Kal raat ko toh tum padh rahi thi na Nandini. Kahan rakh di?" He asked listening him she frownd and said

"Agar mujhe mil gayi hoti toh main aapse thodi puchti. Aap bas batao dekha ki nahi?" Manik frowned and shook his head in no. But still got up to help her. He went to his room and checked the bed and all and after finding a lot he found the book under bed.

"Nandini, book mil gayi." He shouted from the room making her squeal and run to their room. Seeing her behaving like kid dadi shook her head.

"Yeh lo, ek toh bed ke neeche rakhti ho aur phir yahan vahan dhundti toh ho. Aur phir mujhe sunati ho." Manik said as soon as she came. She bit her lip and said sorry.

"Kitne baje hai paper?" He asked her who was packing her bag.

"1-2" She replied, Manik bobbed his head and thought to drop her today since he isn't going to work today.

"Okay, I'll drop you then. It's already 11. Kuch khalo and then get ready." Ordering her he down. Nandini knew it's of no use arguing with him.

Arpund 12:30 Manik and Nandini left for the college. She eas revising mentally and Manik found it really funny.

"Should I wait for you?"

"No need Manik. Kahan apa ek ghanta rukoge. Main aa jaungi ghar." She said getting down from the bike because they had reached already to the college.

"Forget what I asked. Kal paper hai?" She shook her head listening his question.

"Great! Jao. Ache se likhna paper. All the best." He pecked her head making her blush because many students  were ogling at them.

"Thank you. I'll see you at home." He just bobbed his head and waited till she could go inside. Once she was out of his sight he too went from there

Nandini came out of the college main gate only to see Manik waiting for her. She smiled and shook her head. She walked up to him and tapped his shoulder to gain his attention.

"Aap yahan kya kar rahe ho? Maine kahan tha na ki main aa jaungi ghar."

"Woh kya hai na. Aaj after long time I'm getting time to spend with my wife. Kal tumhe vaise bhi paper nahi hai. So let's have something outside today and go to a beach. Please." She couldn't deny the cute face of his and agreed eventually.

First they decided to do pet puja so they went to near by restuarant. They had already ordered and were waiting for the food.

"How was the paper?" He asked putting his both the hands on the table.

"It was good. Par ek answer likh nahi payi. Samjh mein nahi aaya toh chod diya." She said with a sad pout making him smile.

"Koi na. Agle papers ache se attempt karna. You have time." She bobbed her head. Soon their food also came. They had order butter naan, shahi paneer and veg friend rice.

"Vaise Manik, ghat pe sab pareshan nahi honge? Hum bahar hai unko bina bataye." Nandini asked worriedly.

"Don't worry. Maa ko phone karke bola hai maine. She agreed to it." She made a 'oh' face and continued to have food. They spent some time in talking and completing their food.

Around 4 clock they left restuarant and by 4:30 they were on the beach walking holding their hands. They walking at the seashore. Out of nowhere Manik started humming a song which got Nandini surprised.

"Aapko gaana gaana bhi aata hai?"

"I am just a bathroom singer. Utna bhi acha nahi gata main." He said rubbing his nape making her smile.

"Sing a song." Out if nowhere she asked making him stare at her.

"Pagal ho gayi ho kya? Bilkul nahi." He disagreed making her pout.

"Please na Manik. Mere liye." She requested making him sigh. He twitched his lips but still agreed. He settled on the sand and holding her hand he started singing his favourite song.

Nandini had a bright smile on her face listen him sing and the song choice. He looked at her and raised his eyebrows.

"You have beautiful voice Manik. And I'm glad only I will listen to your this peaceful and blissful voice throughout our life." She said in dreamy eyes, Manik smiled and pecked her back of her hand. They spent more time on the beach and around 6 they left to their house.
