Legacy Day.

Yay.

I sat on my chair reading a book as Jane paced up and down.

"I think I'm having a panic attack," Jane told me.

"You're being dramatic Jane" I replied as I turned the page of my book.

"Aren't you nervous too?!"

I glanced over my book and looked at her.

"No besides I already know what I'm going to do and I get to dress up" I smiled.

"I just love dressing up" I admitted.

"Did you choose your gown as yet?" She asked.

I smiled, got up to my wardrobe, and took out two dresses.

I turned to face her. I held up the first one.

"Okay, so this one... A bit princess, nature. It more says 'Hi, I'm a nice gentle queen'"

"But this"

I showed her the other.

"This dress screams 'I am that evil Queen'"

She nodded and pointed at the black dress.

"That one"

I smiled as I placed the green dress back in the wardrobe and used my magic to make a mannequin to put the dress on it.

"So what are you going to wear?" I asked her, still putting the dress on the mannequin.

"My mother wanted to send her Legacy Dress that her mother wore" She explained.

I glanced up from the dress.

I smiled at the dress.

"That is gorgeous but it's not you," I told her honestly.

She dramatically sighed.

"But I don't have anything else!"

I waved my hand and created a mannequin and a dress on it along with a pirate hat for her.

"Do you like this?" I asked her.

Jane placed her lips together as she smiled.

"I can't thank you enough Y/n!" She said as she rushed to hug me.

I hugged her back.

"If you're happy, I'm happy," I told her.

She pulled away from the hug and held my hands.

"Today's the day that we seal your fates and I'll always lose to Argus," Jane said as she looked at the floor.

"Damn it, I'm going to be a loser for most of my life!" She exclaimed.

I laughed and placed my hands on her shoulders.

"Remember, you are in charge of your own story, you're not like your father Jack, your Jane and I believe you catch Argus plus you already did" I winked.

Jane snorted causing me to laugh at her.

"But what about you Y/n? You know with Briar Beauty are you going to tell that you're the one the woke her up?" Jane asked as our laughter died down. 

I sadly smiled. 

"I honestly don't think she'll listen to me. No really believe me when 'Hey my dad wasn't that evil. Sure he placed a curse on a baby due to his anger he had towards her father but he's the one that undid it and...killed her father but still!'"

"Wait, Maleficent killed Sleeping Beauty's father?" Jane asked. 

"Yes..." I mumbled.

"Oh my grim Y/n" Jane excalimed. 

I glanced at her.

"Why are you so shocked? Surely your father has done the same" 

Jane sighed and looked at the floor.

"Yeah..."  She whispered. 

She soon looked back at me and smiled.

"Touché"

"So, who's going to be your saviour in your story?" Jane asked, changing the uncomfortable topic. 

"My older brother," I told her calmly. 

Her eyes widened.

"You have an older brother? I thought you and your sisters were Maleficent and your mother's first children?" 

I nodded.

"Yes were are their firstborn children, mother and father adopted Ezra when we were still young" I explained. 

"Why is this the first time I'm hearing you have an older brother?" 

I arched an eyebrow.

"You knew asked"

Jane rolled her eyes and strolled away from me. 

"I wonder who the others are doing? Especially Raven"

I hummed in agreement.

"I'm sure whatever she does, I'm sure it's a well thought out plan and nothing bad is going to happen"

I was just applying my eyeliner when my MirrorPhone started to ring. I glanced at it to see it was my mother calling, she was probably calling to wish me good luck. I couldn't but smile as I answered my phone. 

"Princess! Thank goodness you answer! Today is the day, how are you feeling?" My mother's excited voice came from the mirrorphone. 

"Hello, mother. I'm perfectly fine. I just hope that everything goes well and I get to sign the book and go about the rest of my year" I told her as I finished my eyeliner. 

There was a short pause from my mother.

"...Are you sure? Like your not feeling anxious, scared, stage fright?" My mother asked.

I stopped for a moment. 

"Actually I...kinda nervous" I whispered. 

My mother gasped. 

"Really? Why? What's the matter?"

I took a deep breath in.

"Do you think, I could be as good as dad was?" I asked. 

"My dear, you should never company yourself to your father or anyone as a matter of fact. You should try to be you, you could be. You need to choose a path that fits you the best, that makes you proud in the end"  

All my life I've always looked up to my father. He was betrayed by someone he trusted and thought revenge was the only answer but my mother taught him to love and he became a better person. Besides, it would be fun to be an evil queen. 

"No matter what decision you make either you follow your father or make your own, we'll be behind you on that decision" Mother reassured me. 

I could help but sigh a breath of relief that I didn't know I was holding in. 

"Thank you mother, you don't know how much it means to hear that from you...is father there with you? I would love to  speak with him" 

"Oh, he isn't here he went to the Underworld to visit Hades and said something that he need help moving furniture. But I think he just wanted t spend some time with Hades, I mean they haven't seen each other in a while" Mother explained.

A wave of disappointment hit me. I was hoping he would talk to me before Legacy Day.

"But didn't you receive his letter? He wrote it three days before you should have gotten it by now"

A letter? Why father was very old-school and refused to have a Mirrorphone and would send letters or have face-to-face meetings but I did not receive a letter for him, maybe I got lost in the mail? 

My mother suddenly screamed, startling me.

"Are you alright Mother?" 

"Ezra just brought a Griffin in the house!" She shouted. 

I tried my best not to laugh. It was so rare that mother would ever shout, I imagine her with such a shocked expression on her face now.

"Ezra! No! That is outside now!" She screamed. 

Soon I could hear some crashing noise causing me to winch. 

The trouble Ezra is in now.

"Y/n" Mother said calmly.

"Good luck with Legacy Day" With that, she hung up the phone.

I scratched my head. Poor Ezra. 

"Y/n come on we need to get ready," Jane told me.

I glanced at my MirrorPhone before smiling. 

"I'm coming!"

Tonight is the night.

Jane and I sat next to each as the Headmaster stood behind the podium. 

"Next we have Apple White" He introduced as Apple walked toward him.

When she reached the podium there were doves along her arms.

"Where the birds come from?" Jane asked.

"I have no idea" I whispered. 

"I am Apple White, daughter of Snow White and I am ready to pledge my destiny" She declared.

With does words her key appeared.

She opened her book revealing her destiny.

She gets poison, she wakes up and yeah that's really it. She gets even more popular.

Soon a mirror appeared and she gasped. 

Apple then signed her Story and walked off the stage blowing kisses as the Headmaster returned to the podium. 

"And next, Raven Queen" He announced, the tone suddenly shifting to an ominous and scary one as lightning flashed behind her causing Jane to flinch.

Raven walked up to the podium and struggled to finish her sentence.  

I felt bad for her.

Soon her whole was up for display.

"Woah" Jane exclaimed. 

"I don't understand why anyone sign their story where they are going to have a horrible? And how narcissistic do you have to be to force some to do that?" Jane questioned. 

I glanced at her and nodded in agreement.

"You're right" 

"I am Raven Queen" Raven announced causing my and Jane's attention to shift back to her.

"And I'm going to write my own destiny. My happily ever after starts now" Raven explained as she closed the Storybook of Legends.

As she did that the windows surrounded the podium. There were gasps of shock that came from the Royals but the cheers come from the Rebels. Jane got up and loudly cheered as I sat down and clapped for her. 

I watched as Raven turned to confront the Headmaster causing me to smile.

But my smile turned into a frown when the Royals started to boo at her.

"Halt everything!" She exclaimed in frustration as she casts a freezing spell over the entire audience.

Well except me of course. 

Subconisouly I whipped off the magic of my shoulder and glanced at Jane who was frozen. 

With a wave of my hand, my green magic unfroze Jane. 

She blinked a bit.

Did she-"

"Yes," I answered her question. 

"Well" I started as I got up.

"I suppose we should congratulate our friend" 

"Yes it would be"

I rest my hand on Jane's shoulder and snapped my fingers, teleporting us to Raven.

 Raven's eye widened.

"Y/n, Jane, your not frozen? How?"  She asked.

"She thinks 'er power could affect ye" Jane laughed as she spoke in her pirate dialect.

Raven looked at Jane confused, not understanding what she said. 

"That's...not important. We just wanted to congratulate you. You are the first to

"Harr! congratulation missy, ye've opened to the sky a reel o' possibilities fer other royals an' rebels" Jane added. 

Raven sighed with relief.

"Thank you both of you" She laughed as she wrapped her arms around me for a hug and I gentle tapped her on the shoulder, not liking to be hugged by anyone that isn't my mother. 

She quickly removed herself and unfreezes Maddie.

"You're still here. No poof, poof, poof. Yay!" Maddie exclaimed. 

Raven laughed.

"I know. It feels good" She explained. 

 Life between the Royals and the Rebels at Ever After High would never be the same after Raven stood up for what she believed. 

What she believed was wrong! She didn't honour her destiny, she tempted fate! 

"Listen, Narrators! We are trying to have a nice moment here!" She shouted as she waved her fist in the air to I assume the narrators.

Jane gave a confused look causing me to chuckle and Maddie and Raven giggle together.
