Chapter Three: Hello....again?
Thump......
......thump.....
....thump.....
Her heart, she could hear it pounding against her eardrums. It echoed through her head, bouncing off the walls around and back into her. Her chest felt tight, as if a heavy weight was being pressed against her and restricting her lungs from fully expanding. She tried to calm down, taking deep breaths and she'd done time and time again. Just like Ennard would encourage her to do so, she closed her eyes and attempted to focus her breathing.
Opening her eyes, Bunny suddenly found herself transported to a new location. The gray walls that were filled with cracks and covered in dusty spider webs were now fully repaired, being covered in black and blue swirls of paint. White dots ran along the wall, almost like a consolation as it formed strange shapes that she couldn't make out. The cold floor had suddenly felt warm against her feet, now being replaced by a soft, plush gray rug that tickled her bare toes. Against the wall sat a tiny makeshift bed, a mattress on the floor that was covered in star printed blue sheets. She was in someone's bedroom....but who's, and why was she here? Looking around the room, the walls were covered in badly drawn characters of the show she had enjoyed, Fredbear and Friends. She could easily recognize the characters, knowing them each by heart at first glance. However, there were more drawings littering the walls, drawings that seemed to blur the longer she stared at them. Their figures reminded her of people, three of them to be exact. However she could not make out any features, just the fact that they were stick figures likely drawn by someone around her age.
Bunny could only look around in awe, confused by her predicament. She had no idea where she was, or how she had gotten here in the first place, or why she was even here. All she knew was this place calmed her, made her feel safe and secured. She could no longer hear her heart beating loudly in her ears, nor did her chest feel weighed down and constricted.
"What did they do this time?"
She turned her attention towards the voice, finding it had come from a familiar plush that sat upon the bed, her golden friend himself. Instead of being faded and stitched up, it was practically brand new. Its fur was only a dirty yellow, yet still very prominent to be seen as golden. Its hat and bow tie were bright, vibrant shades of violet instead of being dirty and faded beyond belief. The bear had also seemed to be more lively, able to hold its head and look her directly in the eyes. It was even able to blink, as if it were a real, living, breathing person. She was speechless, not knowing what should've been said. Its soulless black eyes drifted towards the door, staring at it for a few seconds before turning its attention back towards the girl standing before him.
"They're fighting again?"
The peaceful silence in the room was now filled with the sounds of two voices screaming at one another, their words being muffled behind the door. She couldn't understand what was being said, yet she could feel the many emotions behind the noise. This only confused her even more, what was happening. She began to shake, feeling tears filling her eyes as the sounds of glass shattering could be heard from outside the door. She was afraid, afraid of something that she didn't fully understand.
"Come on, let's get some rest."
It gestured to the bed, informing her to lie down and rest her nerves. Though confused, Bunny complied with its request. She made her way over, crawling underneath the soft and warming sheets and settling herself down. The voices had only grown louder, though she was still unable to understand a single word that was being said. She couldn't stop herself from shaking, lip quivering as she fought back the urge to cry. She simply pulled the covers over her head, burying herself in an attempt to block out any of the noise that she was hearing. Of course, it didn't seem to help.
"Don't be afraid, I am still here with you."
Finally her dam broke, tears falling and soaking into the cloth around her as she began to silently cry. She didn't dare make a sound, instead she curled into a tightly formed ball as the fear consumed her. She felt herself slipping away into the darkness, the voices around her slowly fading away as silence began to once again fill the room. Just as she completely slipped under, she could hear her friend mutter out one last sentence.
"Tomorrow is another day."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Do you think she's alive?"
"Of course she is, you idiot!"
"When's she gonna wake up, we could use a new playmate down here"
"Yeah, nice going....."
"I wasn't trying to scare her..."
All around her, Bunny could hear voices whispering things to one another. Some soft, others loudly. However, a soothing melody could be heard throughout the room, one that she hadn't found herself to be familiar with. It was calming, not enough to put her back to sleep, but enough to keep her relaxed and calm. Slowly, she opened her eyes as they were exposed to a pretty darkened room. It wasn't pitch black, but it wasn't as bright as the other rooms she'd been in were. The whispers suddenly came to a stop as she had scanned the room, taking in the sight before her. She was surrounded by strangers, people she didn't know....yet had recognized.
A fox
A bear
A clown
A puppet
She had come to the realization that she wasn't on the floor like she had suspected, but rather lying caressed in someone's arms. Tearing her gaze away from the cast before her, she had glanced up at the one who was holding her.
A pretty dancer
Oh boy, more new faces.
