i sat down in front of coach ivey's desk. apparently she wants to have a meeting with me and liv and i haven't done nun in weeks.

"what's tea ?" i asked liv as we waited for her to come in.

"yo guess as good as mine" she said and i took the time to text cass back while we waited. a few minutes later she came in and sat down.

i couldn't read her face, cus she has a natural resting face. nothing kind of scared and i haven't even did anything yet.

"so i know yall confused and wonder why i called yall in here" coach said and liv and i nodded.

"so, i get a little hint that you two are a thing" she said making my cheeks heat up.

"i mean, we're not a thing but yk" liv said. the way my heart just shattered cus like why would you even say that. that's embarrassing.

i lightly exhaled and laughed to stop myself from crying. the way i wanna bust her car windows lol. she playing in my face.

"well, official or not i wanna say i support 100% as long as your both happy. but i wanna make sure that yall relationship won't come between the game and team" she said.

"ik how hannah get when she's upset with you and i need yall both 100%. just promise me that whatever happens between yall won't show on that court" coach ivey said.

"we promise coach. well hannah is still working on being calm but im sure she'll come around soon she's been doing so good" liv said.

"good. okay that's all, thanks bye" she said getting up and leaving. i got up and walked out the door no words.

"so you're not gonna say anything ??" she asked as we walked to the locker room.

"i have nun to say" i said.

"why not ?? i don't get why your demeanor all of sudden changed" she said.

"embarrassing asf" i said.

"tf are you talking about grace ?? see this ts we was talking about" liv said.

"how could you even say that. we're not a thing but we been acting like it. im just for entertainment purposes rose cus that's wtf it sound like" she said.

"wtv. all ik is you got it. im done bro. f*cking done so you can go find sb else heart to break or to play with. and since we're not a thing you can delete my phone number, instagram, our pictures cus im not a d*** doll that you can play with when you're bored" i said.

"wait a minute, what happened ??" kylee asked.

"grace you're not listening to me. & the fact that you even think for a second that i would do that to you is crazy. me asking you to be my valentine wasn't for entertainment purposes loveyy h*ll if ian want you fr i wouldn't have even asked" liv said.

"done olivia. if you gotta tell folks we're not a thing but act like we are behind closed doors ion want it. i wanted you to love me out loud not be ashamed of me" i said giving her the necklace back that she gave me.

"i admit i understand what she saying cus i did tell coach ivey we weren't a thing but i meant officially ig i should've made that clear" i said to maddy.

"lord, this is exactly what coach was talking about ain't it" maddy said and i nodded.

"and that's the thing cus yes i did mean we weren't official yet but i also didn't want her thinking we weren't focused on basketball" i said.

"where is she anyway ?" maddy asked.

"i texted cass, she said they went to the mall and now she's sleeping" i said as bean jumped onto my lap laying his head against my stomach.

"me personally i would've crashed out to cus like you worded that so wrong" she said.

"ikk and ian even mean to say it like that, but idk man" i said rubbing my forehead.

i looked at my phone and we decided to head to practice. and i hope hannah act like she got some sense cus we don't need to be proving coach ivey's point.

"i wonder if she's still gonna come" liatu said. and speaking of she came in with a mug on her face.

"omg, hi hannah" kylee said hugging her.

"omg who let her in here" hannah joked making the locker room laugh.

"hey don't dtm, you love me. you and sonni be acting like yall don't like me but deep down yall can't live without me" kylee said making us laugh.

"being delulu is the solulu" kate said.

"ykw freshie.. H*LL YEAH" i said laughing.

"hey you wanna go get your nails done with me after practice ?" cass asked hannah.

"ouu, yes there's this new color i saw on tiktok i need to get it" she said.

after getting dressed we went and got some shots up and warmed up before coach came out of her office.

"hey can i talk to you ?" i asked hannah knowing she stubborn as h*ll.

"nope, we got nun to talk about. you let coach know what's between us and clearly it's nothing" she said.

"im sorry about what i said.. i'll admit that's on me and that's not what i meant. i just didn't want her thinking we weren't focused on basketball and yes i shouldn't worded it better"

"you know d*** well i want you. ain't no playing in nb face stuff going on and i already told you how i feel about you. plenty of times" i said.

"well you have a funny way of showing it. and i wanna be loved out loud liv" she told me.

"and i have no problem doing that baby, you just gotta trust me. i f*cked up and that's okay yk im always down to fixing it and communicating with you about it but you gotta do the same mama"

"LETS GO" coach said blowing her whistle.

"i got you later on mama" i said kissing her cheek. i ran over to where maddy was.

we started practice and our chemistry on the court was definitely still there. and i appreciate hannah for putting her feelings to the side to make this work on the court.

she drove the base line and bounced passed it to me. i caught it and laid it up making the team clap. coach looked confused as to why everyone seemed like it was our first time doing that lol.

she don't know that hannah and i are having minor problems right now and we would like to keep it that way.

"good job" i said as we high fived each other.

"the way she's grown so much.. omg my shayla! im so proud of you" liatu said hugging her making her giggle.

"thanks bookie" hannah responded.

"there's tea ?" coach ivey asked making us laugh cus girl what you know about "what's tea ?" lol

"no ma'am, we're good" leah said.

"coach what you know about tea" kylee said making us laugh.

"aye now, im not that old" she argued.

"lol, nah you look good coach. you ain't old boo" i said making her flip her hair.

"PERIOD COACH. baddieee" we yelled.

i can't even be mad at hannah for reacting the way she did. ofc i wish she would've communicated how she felt with me and not actually go full force at me but i get it.

that's on me, im always down to loving that girl out loud but i also gotta realize i gotta keep our relationship & basketball life separate.
