i heard a knock on the door making me look up and maddy was going to open it.

"idk i been craving wings a lot lately" i told her.

"pregnancy craving ?" she asked me quickly look up at her. i squinted my eyes at her & threw a pillow at her.

"no h** im not pregnant, don't play with me"
i said making her laugh. she laughed and opened the door where i saw hannah.

"hey girl, come in" maddy said moving aside.

"thank you.. hi guys" she said with a smile making me laugh.

"wassup ma" i said.

"here i got, wingstop" she said making me look at her with a blank stare.

"what you don't want this ?" hannah asked.

"did you tell her i was having wing cravings ?" i asked maddy.

"uht uht, i said nothing" maddy said.

"genuinely grace, you really scare tf out of me like fr" i said making her look at me with a confused look on her face.

"what i do ? we can get subway instead" she said.

"lol, no this fine love im just saying i been craving this like crazy and its like you read my mind" i said.

"here i got food for big back over there to" she said making me laugh. maddy gasped and shook her head.

"i'll except that only cus you was nice enough to think about me" maddy said.

"okay, bye have fun lovebirds" she said going to her room making me laugh and shake my head.

"why yo face so red ?" i asked touching her cheek.

"it does that when i get nervous" she said making me me chuckle.

"why you nervous tho ?? did i do sum ?" i asked.

"no but you still make me nervous.. just being around you" she said as she looked at her wings.

"you're cute" i said making her giggle and look at me.

"hi guys, i got wings with my favv person & imma assume im her favorite person to" she said to her camera.

"you are my favv ma" i said as she propped her phone up.

"ohh um i got honey something because im still not awake clearly & livvy got hot parmesan" she said and i nodded.

"practice was good, but niele is definitely feeling the whole march madness is on it's way thing cus she's been trying to murder us for almost a week now"

"still love her tho lol" hannah said and i laughed and nodded.

"is it just me or does anyone else face turn super read when you're around your lover or anything like that ? cus i look like i just ran a marathon" she said.

"yall im just vibing and she be so nervous for no reason lol. its cute tho but she don't know how to relax around me yet" i said.

"idk im getting there" she said as she bite into a wing. she had sauce on the side of her mouth making me laugh lightly.

"you got something on the side of your mouth mama" i said wiping it with a paper towel.

"thank you" she said i nodded.

"guys if yall hear noise it's maddy. lately she's been in her feelings and now she listening to love songs and having a concert" i said as we laughed.

"period, my girl said lemme get my feelings out" hannah said.

"guys genuinely, life is so hard like just imagine im only 19 and a half rn but goodness" she said laying her head on my chest.

"you okay ?" i asked.

"mhm, just school. i got this one class it's so freaking hard" she said shaking her head.

"you gotta it loveyy. and yk im here if you need me" i said.

"grateful for you" she mumbled.

"you smell good" i said making her smile at me.

"thank you!! it's new and cass act like she ain't smell it. hater" she said making me laugh.

"anywho, im bored and i thought why not come bother my person" she said making me smile at her.

she sat our plates on the table and laid her head in between my legs.

"so guys yall know my birthday coming up & livvy won't give me a hint as to what she got me.. please give me a hint" she said turning to look at me.

"nope.. it's a surprise, you'll see soon enough" i said.

"yeah but the 22nd is a minute now" she whined.

"soon enough baby" i said as i scrolled on insta.

"ohh and guys look, she asked me to be her valentine yesterday, it's so cute" she said showing the camera making me chuckle.

"i got her chocolate covered strawberries" she said.

"they were good too. but maddy ate most of em with her big back ahh" i said.

"yall she finna gts im already knowing" i said looking at hannah who stared at the wall.

"isn't she so cute guys" hannah said putting her camera in my face. she leaned up and pecked my lips.

"you're cute & sleepy" i said as her eyes got heavy.

"okay bye guys!!!" she said ending her tiktok video.

"i am sleepy" she mumbled against my chest.

"don't be mad at me but, mom is otw to indy" jada said making me stare at her.

"for what ? ion fwh and apparently she don't fwm so why is she coming down here ?" i asked.

"she wanted to talk to you" she said.

"yeah for what ??? she never wanted to talk the last 17 years. what did you do jada" i asked aggressively.

"i may have or may not have gave her the idea and told her where to go.." she mumbled.

"bro why would you even do that jada ? especially when yk what she did to me and how i feel about her" i asked.

"because she misses you & she wanna fix it grace" jada said as liv sat down on my bed.

"it doesn't matter. you selfish asf bro no way you really did that. it's to late to fix it. that lady put me through h*ll from day 1 and you of all people know that"

"i don't wanna fix sh** with her. she made it known i wasn't as beautiful or as successful as you. i had to do years worth of therapy because of her and you want me to forgive her ?" i said.

"i'm sorry grace, i just don't want you to hate her anymore"

"why ?? because she ain't hurt you like she hurt me ? cus she ain't neglect you like she neglected me ?"

i aggressively grabbed my phone before walking towards the door.

"woah, so that's it you just gone give up on her ?" liv asked standing in front of me.

"hyy, she do this everytime bro like you acting like this lady didn't hurt me" i said opening the door.

"i understand what you're saying mama" she said making me exhale.

"i just don't get it.. i would've never did that to her" i said.

"you've come so far love.. don't let her get to you like that. you're so beautiful & look at you one of the best basketball players in the country. sound pretty successful to me especially at 19" she hugging me.

"thanks livvy" i said.

"ofc yk i got you pretty. don't cry cus ts is not worth it. you are your own person & you got so many people in your corner." she said wiping my tears.

"let's go get food to cheer you up" she said grabbing my hand. we got into her car and headed to get food.

i scrolled through my pictures, cus even tho my mom was my first bully and made me feel ugly i've grown to love myself and actually think i am beautiful.

one pic stood out to me and it was from my date with liv. she took them and i remember her saying how i looked like princess and that will forever stick with me.
