the captain caressed his hook in his other hand, a venomous glint appearing in his eye, giggling a bit in an uncontrollable, maniacal deep voice. "now he will finally get to feel the unshakable wrath of me, captain hookjoong. he's going to get what's coming for him."

the journey to neverland was something that was unlike anything wooyoung has seen before.

once the pair broke the atmosphere, wooyoung fearfully assumed that he probably wouldn't be able to breathe as there would be no oxygen, but that turned out to be false. somehow, he was still able to respire when they reached the pure beauty called space.

wooyoung never thought he would ever visit space in his life, yet here he was. space was so strangely beautiful. the stars he saw shone bright, displaying absolutely vibrant and attractive colors. meteors flew through the violet galaxies, their speeds incomparable to the traveling pace of the pair of boys. the planets they saw were also so beautiful, each one comprising of different colors and textures. the variance in the different worlds was intriguing and wooyoung suddenly felt a desire to visit each one. all of this was placed on an alluring purple canvas, and this made everything just so much more artistic and glamorous.

like a child looking at something new, his curiosity and wonder only grew as they continued to soar towards their destination.

---

soon enough, the island of neverland came into view.

from what wooyoung could see, the island was filled with heaps of bright green foliage and sandy beaches, both of them adorned with many other vibrant colors. the shore to the island was surrounded by unnaturally deep midnight indigo-colored waves, with fragments of glittering icebergs floating in them so carelessly and free. some parts of the island were blocked from view by these pink fluffy cotton candy-looking clouds that looked just so soft.

as they continued to approach, the dark-haired boy yelled out a question over the winds that caused him to feel slightly uneasy. "how are we going to slow down!?"

san's chuckles flew on the wind. "the clouds!Β  they'll help slow us down!"

wooyoung looked up at san in confusion. "what? but clouds can't-"

the pink-haired boy grinned, pulling wooyoung up close to his body and holding onto his waist. "just trust me!"

so wooyoung did.

he trusted san.

the dark-haired boy gripped onto the other's torso as if it was a lifeline, squeezing his eyes shut.

the next few moments passed by in a flash.

wooyoung felt his descent decelerate jaggedly, his and san's bodies seemingly breaking through soft things to stop their fall.

finally, the pair hit something so soft that it was absolutely incomparable to a pillow.

they were laying down on a cloud.

the first thing that wooyoung heard as he slowly opened his squeezed eyes were san's cute giggles, his voice painted with pure joy and excitement. "see! i told you the clouds would break our fall."

wooyoung couldn't help but chuckle too, san's laughs being that contagious. "wow. the clouds... they're so soft."

san sat up and used his hands to scoop some pink fluff and threw it at the other boy. "right? sometimes i like to fly up here just to take naps."

the dark-haired boy caught the ball of fluff, and held it in his hands, fiddling with it with curiosity. "it's almost as pink as your hair."

the pink-haired boy chuckled cutely, a playful and reminiscing glint in his eye. "well actually, these clouds are the reason why i turned my hair pink. the lost boys tell me i always seem to have my head in the clouds so i decided to just become the clouds."

wooyoung threw the pink ball of fluff at another cloud, letting out a small curious gasp as the two masses combined smoothly. "the lost boys? who are they?"

san laid down on his stomach, kicking his legs back and forth like an excited child. "they're the boys who came to find home in neverland after they got lost because, um," san paused his kicking, his voice almost unnoticeably getting a little pained tinge in its tone. "their parents didn't claim them."

wooyoung stared at san, suddenly a bit angry at himself for turning the mood sour. "oh."

after a few seconds of awkward silence, the dark-haired boy turned on his back and noticed that the clouds above them had very distinct, large, gaping holes in them, which he assumed were what the pair flew through when they were descending before to slow their fall. he spoke curiously, desperately trying to get happy san back. "what kind of rules do these clouds even follow? i mean, like, how are we on these clouds if we went through them before?"

san seemed to thankfully perk up from this question, a small smile back on his handsome features. "oh! the clouds can actually surprisingly support a lot of weight, it's just high velocity is what causes them to break. things like birds, people falling from the sky," he giggled, "like us, they all can break straight through the fluff. it's really-"

suddenly, a loud BOOM, emitted from below, rudely interrupting san's words and causing wooyoung to jump slightly before scrambling to look over the edge of the cloud to see what the source of the disruption was. his eyes widened, his voice coming out shakily and nervous. "um, what about... uh, cannonballs? can they break through the clouds?"

bewilderment painted san's facial features as he looked over the edge of the cloud himself.

"oh shit."
