Wanda's POV

I'm honestly terrified for Peter. He's the most innocent person on the planet, he can't even kill a fly! I know he would never ever kill a person, villain or innocent. He's the kindest, most selfless person I know. He doesn't deserve this, heck no one does. I reassured him about going to school today but I think he's more afraid than me, despite the brave face he's trying to pull off. After breakfast I dropped him off with Happy in the garage so paparazzi wouldn't bother him.

I reminded, "If something happens tell Mj or Ned to call me okay Mysh?"

"Okay I'll see you later bye Wanda." He replied.

I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his forehead, "Bye Peter, I love you."

"Bye Wanda! Love you too."

He got into the car and I watched as Happy drove to the entrance and paparazzi were swarming the car chasing after it. Peter doesn't need to deal with this craziness he just needs to be a kid and my heart aches for him to be a kid. I'll just have to wait for him to come back home to the Tower. Usually we go from the Tower to the Compound but the team decided to move to the Tower because Pepper is our last living guardian so we have to stay with her.

Peter's POV

As Happy pulled up in front of school, I could tell he noticed how terrified I was. I felt like I was going to throw up, and I probably looked that way. I feel so terrified, everyone's going to be staring and whispering about me. my life sucks right now my family and friends are going to have a target on their backs and my enemies are going to be gunning for them. I don't want them to get hurt because of me and I don't know what to do.

Happy spoke, "It'll be okay kid don't listen to those ignorant people just have a good day and soon the day will be over before you know it."

I nodded and got out of the car, staying there until I couldn't see Happy anymore, wishing that I could still be in the car with him and forcing myself to turn around and softly exhaled a shaky breath. I started walking and I saw everyone look at me with a mix of fear, disgust, and anger. I wish I could curl up into a ball and die.

I got to my locker seeing Mj and Ned standing there but they weren't looking at me they were looking at my locker I stared confused then I walked towards them and the red big bold letters came into view I stared in horror someone wrote MURDERER oh my gosh I feel sick.

Ned and Mj reacted the same way I did then I saw principle Reed he didn't seem mad at me but when he saw my locker he looked heated and turned around to everyone else in the hallway. "Alright who did this?" He asked.

It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop onto the floor I felt so embarrassed and angry why can't people just let me be and leave me alone, "I'm not gonna ask again who did this!" After he yelled Betty raised her hand and stepped into view.

"It was Flash and his friends sir." She said.

"Where are they?" He asked.

"Last I saw they were sitting in AP bio." She replied.

He apologized to me and left us telling everyone to get to class I opened my locker and grabbed my books leaving and headed to science class and a few hours later it was lunch the only good thing about today except for buying a new LEGO set and building it with Ned and talking to Mj about coming and meeting Morgan.

Who I claimed as my little sister and Mrs. Potts approved so I can say Morgan H. Stark is my little sister but anyway after lunch I left to grab my colored pencils and oil based crayons for art which were in my locker but I heard a scream I ran towards the noise.

But I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Betty with a scared look on her face while Flash and his friends were tormenting her I walked swiftly and got in front of her. "Oh look guys the traitor is here maybe he'll kill us." said one of Flash's friends.

"I didn't kill anyone Betty get out of here."

"But peter-"

"Yeah get a teacher before he stabs us to death." said Flash.

Betty left and I stood my ground these a-holes think it's okay to torture Betty one of my friends. "Leave her alone Flash." I say.

"It's her fault we got in trouble and she had to pay we taught her a lesson."

"A real man would never put his hands on a women any decent human being would know that guess you're not one of them don't you have something better to do?" I ask.

"Yeah put you in jail you killed Mysterio you're a sick individual I bet your family is wanting to put you behind bars." He replied.

"Those are big words for you but I'm not a murderer and I would never kill someone don't you dare talk about my family like that ever."

"Really because Mysterio said who you really are there's actual proof Maximoff!"

Then he pushed me to the ground and his friends started punching and kicking me the pain was extremely excruciating I could taste blood and the world was becoming blurry. "Why don't you get up and fight huh you murdered someone why don't you do something now!"

I turned to face Flash, "I was given a power to better the world and as my father once told me is that "great powers come great responsibility" I'm not about to hurt or murder you why? Because you're an innocent person even if you were a bad guy I still wouldn't hurt you."

"You're a liar too wow."

They repeatedly kicked and punched me till I screamed in agony guess it wasn't going to end at least not until I heard footsteps running towards me. "Hands off my boyfriend." said Mj.

Betty's POV

When peter told me to leave I did but now my friend is going to get hurt I started running away from the conflict and needed to find Mj and Ned ASAP because now Peter's in danger I don't believe what the media says Peter has saved thousands of lives and honestly people will believe anything they see or hear instead of looking for the cold hard facts.

I kept running and found Ned and Mj in art class and they looked worried they didn't care when the teacher was yelling for them to come back but we ran so fast probably faster than the track team all the way to Peter who looked so battered and bruised blood was everywhere.

Mj's POV

"Hands off my boyfriend." I said glaring angry daggers at him.

I turned to Ned who knew exactly what to do he pushed Flash and his friends off of Peter picking him up and I felt like crying I should've gotten here earlier. "Ned take peter to an empty classroom and call Wanda then text me your location."

He didn't say anything but he and Betty walked with Peter to a classroom and when they were out of sight I walked up to Flash and punched him in the face his friends didn't even help him up they just stared. "If I ever see you near peter again that punch won't be the only pain you experience." I threatened.

After I said that I turned and then got the text from Ned and I immediately went to them he told me Peter's tremors set in and he was shaking like crazy so I ran to the classroom seeing them huddled together in the corner it was dark and I heard light whispering so that means peter is having a sensory overload.

I sat in front of peter and held him whispering that everything was going to be okay and Wanda was coming he tried to talk but he was stuttering another side affect of his tremors. "No don't try to talk peter it's alright I'm right here." I whispered.

He then stopped and Betty whispered to me saying she was sorry but peter told her to leave after she tried to stay but I'm glad she ran and got us Ned told me he gave Wanda our location and if on cue Wanda came and led us outside to the car where Happy was waiting.

We told Betty to make up excuses for Ned and mines absence she nodded and then we climbed into the car driving to their house and using medical equipment to heal peter and we left him to rest. "This is getting out of hand I'm setting up a press conference later this week." said Mrs Potts.

Time passed and I went see peter who was now awake sitting up in bed I ran to him and hugged him gently crying into his shoulder he then kissed my forehead then I sat in front of him. "I'm okay love." He said.

"Y-you were shaking badly Pete."

"I know everything still hurts."

"I'm sorry peter I should've been there earlier to stop him."

He cupped my face looking into his chocolate colored eyes then we kissed and as we did he wiped my tears away. "Don't apologize Mj it's okay I wanted to protect Betty who was in trouble."

"Jeez peter why do you have to be such a sweetheart?" I asked.

"W-well it's really my job to help the little guy as Spider-Man and my duty as an avenger I don't care if Flash hurt me he's still innocent if you were in Betty's position I would've protected you too same goes for Ned I love you both so much and I'd never forgive myself if something happened to you because of me."

"I love you too peter scoot over."

"Why?"

"Because I'm laying down next to you and we're gonna fall asleep in each other's arms."

He complied and scooted over carefully since he's still injured and then I climbed next to him laying down and holding him while he held me. "Y'know your accent was inching in our conversation heavily right?"

"It was?" He asked.

"It still is I love your accent don't change it." I said.

"O-okay." He replied. After that we fell asleep and the thought of peter sacrificing himself for Ned and mines safety shows that this world absolutely does not deserve him.
