In which Dream has NO MERCY!
NO MERCY FOR YOU!

You prayed to the higher powers if they even existed in this fucked up world, that a piece of TNT wouldn't hit you, right as you dared to show your face again - which by the way, fumed with anger.
Burning down a forest was one thing. But sending literal bombs into L'manburg was on a whole other level. Okay, maybe the two things were equally as bad, but doing them both in one day was just not okay.
You looked down at the tiny Dream and Sapnap, as they once again seemed to do some changes on the TNT-machine. You noticed the pile of TNT stacked behind them.
Dream had pointed the canon away from you, now aiming at the center of L'manburg, where the van was located.
He was just about to load it when you shouted; "Dream! Stop! Blowing up a tiny part of our land won't do you any good!"
It wasn't like you actually expected him to listen. He had just burned down an entire forest, for crying out loud. But if there was even the slightest chance that you could settle this without any violence, you would much rather prefer that.
Of course, he didn't listen. He didn't even look up. He just placed another piece of TNT on the canon. "Dream!" You yelled again, aiming your bow at him as a warning. "I won't let you fire that canon one more time,"
The arrow was safely placed on the bow. Everything you needed to do was let go. To lift your fingers.
Sapnap snorted loudly. "Yeah, go ahead (Y/n)! Try and hit him, I dare you!"
You let go of the arrow without hesitation, and Dream avoided it with grace. Even though you were far away from him, you could see the smile playing on his lips. "Missed me."
Now it was your time to smile. "Did I, now?"
"DREAM, WATCH OUT!" Sapnap yelled as a huge explosion went off behind them. You had hit the pile of TNT with a flaming arrow.
They hadn't been caught in the explosion. They weren't meant to, either. The pile had been a few feet away from them after all. You had just simply done what they did best - scaring the shit out of someone just to prove a point. It was nice to see they got a taste of their own medicine for a change.
Now that all of the TNT was blown up, you weren't really sure of what to do, other than hoping that they didn't know what to do either. After all they've done today, you really hoped that they didn't have anything else up in their sleeve.
You watched as Dream and George recovered from the shock, talking about something you couldn't hear. You leaned slightly over the edge as if it would make your hearing any better, when Eret called out your name. You looked his way, to see that he was on the other side of the walls. You made your way over to him, asking what was wrong.
"It's George. He's coming." Eret pointed towards the wooden path, leading up to Dream's territory, where a male was making his way down - running. You could clearly see the white goggles and blue shirt from here.
"As if Dream and Sapnap weren't a big threat as they are." You mumbled, taking a deep breath.
"We need to get back down and help the others. Dream doesn't have any TNT left, he might try and go through the gates." Eret spoke, already running over to the ladder. You nodded, following right up.
You quickly took one last peek over the edge of the wall, only to find Dream looking at you, while Sapnap approached George. Once again the two of you had a little staring contest. You narrowed your eyes, and you would pay to see what expression he had under that mask. Then you backed away.
You met Wilbur and the others in front of the van. He was currently arguing with Tommy because he didn't want to put his armor on. Tubbo and Eret were discussing whether or not to try and make a deal with Dream. Fundy was the only one who walked over to you.
"Good job on blowing up their TNT, (Y/n). Now we don't have to worry about that anymore."
"Do you think they're finally going to back off?" You said right after thanking him. You really hoped that they would - your entire body was screaming for some rest. It took a lot out of you to be a bad bitch.
You had your back faced to the gates, so when Tommy and Wilbur's eyes winded at something behind you, you froze along with Fundy. You didn't want to turn around. You really, really didn't want to - because you knew that the only person who could cause that look on their faces was the green man himself.
It was only when Wilbur walked in front of you and Fundy in a protective manner, that you gave in. Right by the gates stood the three wicked musketeers, of course with Dream in the middle.
The tip of their feet was just on the verge of being on L'manberg's ground. Almost.
They just stood there, standing tall. Wilbur turned his head to look at the rest of you. "They want to talk - and I'm going to do the talking." He looked directly at Tommy when he said that. "Stand a few feet behind me at all times."
He then walked directly towards the Dream Team, the rest of you hesitantly following. Tubbo walked up beside you, and you placed a protective hand on his shoulder, keeping him behind you. You could never know what tricks Dream had the audacity to pull.
"Greetings, members of L'man-child-berg," Dream spoke in a smug tone. You could see his mouth form the words, but not the upper half of his face. It irritated you. You couldn't read him. "We've come with a warning."
Wilbur looked at the tiny hole in the wall, the TNT explosion had made. "Yeah, we can see that."
"If you do not surrender by dawn tomorrow, we will attack. We will come inside these walls, and end every single one of you." Dream spoke, his two bodyguards nodding. "You can put up white flags, to signify your surrender."
Despite Wilbur's command, Tommy stepped forward, his face red from anger. "That's never going to happen, and you know it-"
"That," Dream interrupted, pointing his sword directly at you. Your heart stopped working. "Or you hand me the girl."
You confusedly pointed at yourself, pulling a who me? Your mouth fell open, as you felt everyone staring at you. You, just as shocked as they were.
The last time you checked you were the only girl around, but he couldn't possibly mean you. He just couldn't. You couldn't see any reason why he would. He didn't even know you! Was he okay? Had the fog played with his mind, making him mistaken you for somebody else?
Right then and there you got just as confused as you got angry. You weren't a damn object you could just trade if you wanted to. Who the hell did he think he was to even suggest that?
The rest of the boys didn't seem all that surprised. They thought that Dream was just trying to manipulate one of their people over to his side again. That, and you were a very good archer who would be good for him to have on his team.
For a moment, you were afraid that they'd agree. If it meant that Dream and his friends wouldn't attack tomorrow, you could understand why. But then Tubbo, Tommy and Fundy walked right in front of you, basically saying that if Dream wanted you, he'd have to go through them first.
You couldn't help but smile whole-heartedly once realizing that they genuinely cared about you. But now probably wasn't the time.
"I'm afraid we'll have to decline that offer." Wilbur cooly said, narrowing his eyes at Dream, whose mask seemed weirdly intimidating. "(Y/n) stays with us."
"Hmm," Dream hummed, crossing his arms. Sapnap looked relieved.
"Well, you still have tomorrow to decide whether or not to surrender." Dream chuckled darkly. You saw him giving George a soft elbow on his side. George nodded.
"Tommy, Wilbur, and the rest of L'man-child-burg." Dream said speaking loud and clear. "We are at war. There is no mercy. We've burnt down the forest, planted TNT-canons around your land, and shot several warning shots inside your walls. And we have no mercy! NO MERCY FOR YOU!"
George took out a piece of TNT from under his shirt. He lighted it and threw it at the van, and you heard glass broke.
"Do you understand? We will come, we will burn down your houses, kill everything inside of your walls, and we will take back the land that is rightfully ours." Dream yelled over the loud bang, slowly backing away. "If you do not surrender - we wanna see white flags outside your base, by tomorrow, at dawn, or you are DEAD!"
-
Okay, so Dream was a sadistic psychopath. You have had your suspicions, but you felt like you couldn't really judge the guy when you didn't know him. But know you did. Sorta. And he was a sadistic psychopath.
You were sitting around the campfire with the others, none of you daring to say a word. None of them were hungry, but you didn't mind that. More chicken for you.
No, but really. They were all staring into the fire with a distant look in their eyes. Probably wondering what to do about the whole situation. Dream had given you an ultimatum after all - if you didn't put up white flags in L'manburg by tomorrow, they'd attack. And they sure weren't going to take it easy on you.
The question was, would they go as far as to try and kill you guys? Even Tubbo and Tommy who was the youngest? Because if that was the case, you couldn't care less about protecting L'manburg. You would only focus on saving them.
In your opinion, the whole situation was stupid. You couldn't see why Dream wouldn't just give them their independence, but you guessed he was just being greedy. He couldn't stand that there was a part of his land he wasn't in charge of.
But what bothered you the most, was when Dream had pointed at you, saying that if you went with him, he wouldn't attack. You've thought about any reason he would've had for doing that, and the only thing you had concluded, was so Sapnap could torture you or something - as payback for what you had done in the forest.
You were just really glad your friends had declined the offer. They hadn't even considered it. And to you, that was a sign of trust. You really wanted to help them out in this war - it wasn't just about that stupid loadstone compass anymore.
You were fiddling with your fingerless gloves when Wilbur spoke up. It was as if Tommy woke up from a trance, and he had to squeeze Tubbo's arm, in order for him to wake up too.
"We have to do something. We can't surrender."
Tommy sat with a straight back, as he cleared his throat. He looked like he had an idea.
"I have an idea,-"
Aww, you knew him so well.
"- Tomorrow morning, before dawn, Tubbo and I will sneak into L'manburg."
"Tommy..." Wilbur sighed.
"Hear me out." The boy assured. "I heard Dream talk about how they'll spend practically the whole night in the nether, looking for netherite. Tubbo and I will sneak into Dream's house, leaving him a note."
Wilbur leaned forward, a little bit more interested. "But what could we possibly offer them?"
Tommy gulped, looking down. The fire in front of him made his blonde hair look orange - just as fiery as his personality. "I'll... If he steps down from the war, I'll give him Mellohi."
Everyone gasped, and you realized you should too. Tubbo couldn't believe his own ears. "B-But Tommy. Your disc... You love that disc."
Tommy laughed dryly. "I know, but... Anything for L'manburg."
Fundy wiped a tear away from his eye, and you smiled sadly. You didn't understand what was special about those discs, but you understood that they held a lot of emotional value.
"That's very selfless of you." Wilbur murmured, thinking.
"And heroic." You added. That seemed to cheer Tommy up a little.
For a moment everyone was silent. Then Wilbur stood up.
"Okay." He finally agreed. "I can't come up with a better idea myself. But be sure to be back here, before Drem comes back. We can't risk your lives if Dream doesn't accept the offer. And (Y/n) will come with you."
You were summoned into the conversation. "I am?"
"You are,"
"Cool." You said. You didn't complain about a little action and that way you could make sure nothing happened to those little brothers of yours.
It also seemed to cheer Tommy and Tubbo up. You grinned at each other before Wilbur ordered for you to get some rest - after all, you would wake up very early the next morning.
And so you did. You loved sleeping.
