All the lights and candles went out and the Great hall drowned in darkness.

Lily POV

Everyone let out a gasp. Something was wrong. What could have happened? Nothing like this had ever happened in Hogwarts. Even in the darkness I could see everyone's worried expressions. Many people were frantically looking around. The only people who were calm were the marauders. Hmmm...... that's odd. They took out their wands and pointed them towards the ceiling and started muttering something I could not hear. Then the ceiling lit up with fireworks. The hall went into deadly silence.

The fireworks formed a Gryffindor lion and a Slytherin serpent. After a second the Gryffindor lion roared loudly and started to bite off the serpent's head. Soon the fireworks changed to form:

Then the fireworks vanished and the Hall was lit up with its usual lights. Everyone started clapping and cheering except the Slytherins who were scowling. The marauders stood up and bowed with wide grins glued on their faces. I looked towards the teachers table to see them smiling. Even Professor McGonagall was smiling. Then professor Dumbledore stood up.

"Thank you, Mr Potter, Black, Lupin and Pettigrew. That indeed made our Halloween. Great work." He had an amused expression and twinkle in his eyes. After he sat down everyone again busied themselves with the dessert.

"That was awesome!! Great job guys." I exclaimed. All of them smiled and I saw a tinge of red appear in James' cheeks. "OMG! The great James Potter is blushing!"

"Oh shut up!" He said and turned an even deeper shade of red. All of us started howling with laughter. I had eaten what I wanted to so I stood up.

"I am going to the common room. The Heads one. You guys coming?" I asked.

"We will come in a bit. As we had decided to have a small party in the Heads' common room so we will have to bring stuff." Said Marls.

"Alright then. And do bring some firewhiskey." I said. The boys had amused expressions on their faces.

"Where is Lily Evans and what have you done with her? And if you took a hair from her beautiful red hair for Polyjuice, I swear, I will hex you into next year." James said protectively. We all laughed and then I went out of the Great Hall.

I was on the seventh floor when someone from behind held my wrist to stop me. I turned to see the person I lease wanted to meet. Snape.

"What do you want snape?" I spat.

"You" Snape said coldly.

"You will never get that!"

"Why do you hang out with that Potter? You hated him." Snape said with a scowl.

"I hang out with him because he is my friend and I have told you before that I never hated him." I said coldly. I felt a surge of anger because he was insulting James. It was then that I KNEW that I fancied James.

"But why don't you hang out with me now? Why him?" Snape said with a tad bit of hurt in his voice.

"You really want to know? Ok then! I used to hang out with you before you called me the M word. Also you hang out with those who want to be death eaters and I know that you can't wait to be one. Lastly, I don't hang out with you because I HATE you and I hang out with James because I FANCY him. Now I have to go so leave me the hell alone." I half- yelled and attempted to go away when he pushed me against the wall and before I knew what was going on, Snape forcefully took my wand and his lips crashed on mine.

It was the worst I ever felt. THE WORST! He was rough. Extremely rough. I tried to push him away but he was holding very tight. I put all my strength but couldn't push him away. i was about to bite his lip so he would get away when a voice yelled, "LET GO OF HER, SNAPE!" James.

Snape immediately let go of me. I should have stood up on my feet but me knees gave away. just before I could hit the floor James wrapped his arms around me and held me up. He helped me sit against the wall then turned on Snape. Both of them had their wands drawn, pointing at each other's faces. James' eyes were full of rage. They were going to start fighting when the rest of the marauders and my friends turned 'round the corner.

"Expelliarmus!" Sirius yelled catching Snape and my wands.

"Stupefy!" James shouted stunning Snape.

Then they all ran to me. All of them had their eyes filled with concern. They helped me up but my knees were trembling due to which I fell again. James, seeing that I wasn't able to stand picked me up -bridal style- and we all went to the Heads' common room. James laid me on the couch. I sat up and everybody sat down. I was sitting between James and Marls.

"Lily, what happened? I only saw the last part." James asked, his voice full of concern. I told them everything from the start. Only I left out the part about me fancying James. After completing I leaned onto James' shoulder, silent tears streaming down my face. James turned to me and wrapped his arms around me. The others were talking to each other very angrily. After I calmed down, we decided that the stuff they brought would be returned to the kitchen by Sirius and everyone would go to bed and we will have a party another time.

After everyone left, I told James that I didn't want to go to bed because I was scared that I would have nightmares. So we just sat on the couch, in each other arms talking. Soon my eyelids began to droop and the last thing I remembered before falling asleep was that James carried me to my bed, kissed my forehead and went to his room....

Hey! Sorry we updated late but our deer superb teachers have now set us tests. We are busy revising for them which reminds us that we won't be updating from 1st December to 8th December as we have bloody tests. Sorry.
