🜸 ›› BACKSTORY OVERVIEW - minwoo was born and raised in seoul, south korea. as a child he was surrounded by music, his mother a musician and his father a music teacher. growing up with music almost made him despise it. he was constantly questioned and doted on due to his parents and hated every moment of it.

the doting on stopped during his high school years, however, that's when he watched a performance of girl's generation on a music show that the "idol" occupation planted a seed in his mind. he never went anywhere with it, despite the people around him saying he was an amazing singer and should go somewhere further with it.

in early 2018, he received an invitation by aspen media to audition. he went, and wanted to do so horribly that the company wouldn't even think twice about calling him again. however, fate had other plans for him and a few weeks later they called him again and insisted he try again. he was accepted instantly after the fact. the part he didn't expect, though, was to be reunited with the people he tried so desperately to keep together.
