🜸 ›› BACKSTORY OVERVIEW - woojung's parents were high school sweethearts, and married when they were both in their twenties, having him in 1999 and his younger sister in 2006. they raised both children well, making sure they got good grades in school and hung out with the right crowds.

woojung initially had no intention of ever becoming an idol until the opportunity arose for him at school. he was scouted by spire entertainment and when he was accepted, he was immediately placed in the lineup for omega x. while he formed a close relationship with all the boys, it was the staff and the ceo in particular that gave him cold feet and eventually he left. the boys were sad to see him go, but understood heavily.

due to his horrifying experience with the staff/ceo at spire, woojung vowed to quit the trainee life and move on. and he would've succeeded if the scouting team at aspen media weren't so persistent. he reluctantly auditioned and despite purposely doing his worst so they wouldn't call him back... they did and he was accepted. on his first day of training he was placed in a pre-debut group that was formed with four earlier trainees and the second he opened that door and made eye contact, woojung thought he bit off more than he could chew.
