Steve had stayed true to his word on making sure that Andrea never left her bed. He stayed extremely true to his word. If Andrea tried to do something, Dustin or Steve came running and did it for her making sure she stayed down.

It was maddening. Especially since it had been two weeks since the events of Starcourt Mall. Andrea had been deemed a 'bad patient' by both males. Andrea was still on crutches, the bruises on her neck had faded and the bruises on her side had slowly started to disappear.

Andrea sat in her room as she stared at the edge of her bed. She felt confined, to say the least. She had been stuck on house arrest, for the most part, the only time she left was when someone from the party came over with Nancy's car and dragged her out.

Or whenever Dustin wasn't around and she'd manage to convince someone to kidnap her and help her on their bike.

She wondered if she could manage to get herself out of her room.

Andrea slowly hobbled herself over to the door. Her curls let loose and wild. Steve's t-shirt hangs widely over her frame covering her pajama shorts.

The girl places the side of her face against the door. Trying to see what she could hear, or who she could hear and from what she could guess, the coast was clear.

So, Andrea slowly opened her door, careful not to make any noise before she began to get herself down the hall. The girl tried her best not to let her cast hit anything and make any noise. She made it through the living room and into the kitchen.

Finally, Andrea placed her hands down on the counter as she kissed the countertop. She looked around and listened closely yet again to see who she could hear talking. Only two people were in the house: Steve and Dustin.

From the way they sounded, they had to be back in Dustin's room. So, Andrea didn't fear anything as she hobbled over to the fridge. She hated using her crutches, she could simply drag herself without them just fine.

Hmm.. what do I want? OH! Jackpot, strawberries, Andrea leaned forward and grabbed the pack of strawberries before she sat down in a chair. Andrea turned back and looked over at the counter, seeing a fork laying there.

The girl did not want to get up and get it, so she didn't. She focused on it before the thing flew into her hand. She began eating her strawberries in peace that was until Andrea heard movement in the other room.

"Andrea," She could hear the scolding tone that Steve had, "Where are you?"

"In my house," Andrea yelled as she continued to eat her strawberries.

She watched as Steve and Dustin came around the corner of the living room. She plopped another piece of fruit into her mouth as she watched them.

"You know that you shouldn't be over-exercising," Dustin gave her a look before sitting down at the table with her.

"I'm banning you from hanging out with Steve," was Andrea's simple response as she made a face, "You two are not being fun."

"You are injured," Steve placed his hands on his hips as he looked at her, "Injured."

"Really?" Andrea faked shock as she moved her head, "It's almost as if... as if I'm human!"

Steve rolled his eyes at her sass, "No need for the sass, ma'am."

"Call me that again," Andrea points her fork at Steve, "Should tell you who's boss."

Dustin looked between the two with slightly widened eyes, "Okay then... Did you know in the 1950s, television surpassed radio as the most popular broadcast medium, and commercial radio programming shifted to narrower formats of news, talk, sports, and music."

Andrea slowly nodded her head along as she listened to Dustin, "Okay. Good one with the facts, little man."

This was all that entertained Andrea during her time in confinement. Dustin would tell her facts and watch movies with her to make her feel less stuck.

Steve, when he'd come over, would always cuddle with Andrea and play whatever vinyl she wanted to hear or he'd watch movies with her as well.

Though, she had once convinced him to read to her one night. She knew Steve wasn't fond of reading but she needed something different for a change and to her surprise he had done it.

"You know you're going out with Will and the gang in like, five minutes, right?" Andrea questioned as her eyes caught sight of the clock.

Dustin's eyes widened before he muttered a few choice words, "Son of a bitch."

"You better hurry, Henderson," Steve pointed out before laughing.

"You can keep her tame, right?" Dustin joked before he ran, "Leia Organa is one fierce woman!"

The two watched as Dustin grabbed his bag before he retreated out the front door of the Henderson home. Andrea letting out a small snort as she watched.

"I like the name Leia, it's cute," was Andrea's simple mumble as she closed her strawberries, "You gotta lighten up on me, darling. I feel trapped."

She noticed the way Steve's face fell at her words. Andrea Henderson adored and loved Steve Harrington beyond words, he knew she did. Just like she knew he sometimes did not realize how he could be a tad overbearing.

Something that Andrea had decided it was time to bring up to Steve.

"Oh..." Andrea studied Steve's expression carefully, "Trapped? Really?"

Andrea let out a small huff of hair as she grinned, "Yes, trapped. Steve you won't let me do anything," She pouted as she placed her chin on her palm, "And I like having my own control."

Steve knew that. Andrea had always been under someone else's control, it was no surprise how she took her independence.

Steve let out a sigh as he placed his hand against his head, "I'm sorry, Andy. I didn't realize... god, I'm sorry."

Andrea shook her head, knowing Steve was taking it into a deeper meaning, "It's okay. I know you are the type of person who likes showing acts of love. I'm not mad but can you please lighten up some?"

"Yeah... yeah, of course," Steve nodded as he watched Andrea carefully.

Andrea grinned before getting herself out of the chair. Watching as Steve moved closer in case she needed help instead of picking her up, it was progress.

The girl managed to put away her strawberries before tossing the fork back into the sink. Placing a hand on Steve's shoulder before she slowly began to get herself into the living room.

"Sit down. I'm picking the movie," Andrea ordered with a grin, "You get no pick."

Steve shook his head as he fell back onto the couch, "Please not another Star Wars movie, I don't want to be jealous."

"You admit it!" Andrea cheered as she waved her hands in the air, "You are jealous of Luke Skywalker!"

"Have you heard how you talk about him, hot stuff?!" Steve exclaimed before letting out a defeated sigh, "It's not fair."

"Not fair? You want to hear me talk about you to feed into that little, wait not little, bigger than life ego of yours?" She teased with a wink before looking through the tapes.

Steve ran a hand through his hair, "Sweethearttt!"

Andrea rolled her eyes before picking out a movie. Deciding that she wanted to watch Risky Business on the television. Pulling the movie out of its case before easily sliding it into the television.

Pressing the button before using her abilities to shut the lights off, wiping the blood from her nose before taking her seat beside Steve, well, more like on him.

Andrea sat with her body pressed into Steve. Her right leg draped over him as, in a way, she was curled into him. Despite her bad leg, which happened to be her left leg, was hanging off of the couch.

"Risky business, really?" Steve let out a small chuckle, "I think someone has an obsession."

"It makes me feel some things," Andrea gave Steve a suggestive look which caused him to go quiet real quick.

Andrea watched the movie in the comfort of Steve's arms. The girl is glad that she finally talked to Steve about backing off and letting her have more of her way with things.

After all, Andrea did love her freedom.

The two continued to watch the movie in peace. With the occasional jealousy from Steve upon seeing his girlfriend practically drool over Tom Cruise. Little did he know, Andrea was doing it on purpose. She found his jealous act adorable.

He would pout whenever he thought that she was not looking. He'd get clingier, wanting to cuddle or hold onto her a lot more. He'd mutter random things under his breath thinking that Andrea did not hear him when in reality she did.

Once the movie came to a finish, Andrea felt as Steve twirled a few of her curls around his finger.

This was her life.

Though, after two months had passed and September rolled around it was time to bid the Byers family goodbye. As well as Eleven.

Andrea had fully healed from everything. Her bruises are no longer evident and a cast is no longer sitting on her left leg. She bounced back quickly, seemingly a lot more mobile than before to everyone's surprise.

It was bittersweet, September. The school year would start soon and Andrea wouldn't have Jonathan and she wouldn't have Will who would've started his freshman year.

It would simply be her and Nancy, and the rest of the party.

She wouldn't even have Eleven around. Which in all honesty put her on edge. Dr. Owens did not believe that anything was over yet. Andrea surely as hell did not believe that everything had up and disappeared finally.

Eleven's powers had yet to come back too. Meaning that she would be defenseless against whatever would come her way. Her only protection being the Byers family.

A family who had gone through it all themselves.

Andrea and Dustin were on their own for once helping the Byers family pack with the rest of the party. Robin and Steve couldn't make it because they had to apply for another job since... well, the mall was burnt down.ย

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow down!" Jonathan exclaimed as he carried out a mattress with Nancy.

"Sorry, sorry," Nancy apologized as she stepped out of the doorway, slowly making her way onto the ground, "Still got it?"

"Yeah," Jonathan confirmed as they carried the mattress out to the moving van.

Andrea sat on the floor packing small things into boxes with Max and Lucas while Dustin helped but for the most part, kept finding other things to do instead of packing down the boxes. Andrea let out a small laugh.

"Turn around!" Max and Lucas harmonized, "Look at what you see! In her face... the mirror of your dreams! Rhymes that keep their secrets will unfold behind the clouds!"

Andrea shook her head as she watched the two. They were surrounded by labeled boxes telling them what belonged to who and where it went. Though, that did not stop Max and Lucas from making fun of Dustin while acting as if they were on broadway.

Dustin sat in the empty room across from them with nothing but a box in front of him. He was clearly not amused by his two friends and their rendition of the song. Andrea shook her head as she walked into the room where Dustin sat.

"Wait, did we get that verse right? It's 'unfold behind the clouds'?" Max questioned as she looked at Dustin for confirmation.

"Yeah, but you're butchering it, so could you please stop?" Dustin questioned, clearly not amused by the action.

"So then join in, Dusty-Bun," Lucas made a kissy face, and Andrea rolled her eyes before stopping herself from doing something.

Something had changed within Andrea and no one could quite pinpoint on what it was. She wasn't afraid to use her abilities anymore. Everyone had actually grown accustomed to her using them recently.

At first, they believed it was just because of her leg. That maybe she'd settle back out after she was healed, but she didn't. It was still a reflex and she was anything but scared to use that reflex.

"Yeah, come on, Dusty-bun, why don't you join us?" Max questioned fakely as she looked at Dustin.

"You guys are so funny, you should be on Carson," Dustin had the straightest face as he spoke.

"Can't we just hear your rendition?" Max questioned as she messed with one of her braids.

"No," Dustin shut that down quickly.

"Y'all, lay off of him," Andrea warned the two as she went into protective big sister mode.

Max ignored her words before begging Dustin, "Please? Just one verse?"

"No. No way. It's reserved for Suzie's ears and Suzie's ears alone," Dustin shot as he got fed up with the two repeatedly trying to get it out of him.

Andrea sighed as she continued placing things into the box. She was not happy with how this was now used against Dustin because she could tell he did not like it one bit. It would be one thing if it was a few times but the amount it happened was downright wrong.

The couple looked at each other once again, sharing a look and a plan, "Turn around! Look at what you see!" They began dancing with it and snapping their fingers while Dustin flipped them off, "In their face... the mirror of your dreams!"

"Shut up you guys!" Dustin kept talking as he continued to hold up his middle finger.

"Rhymes that keep their secrets! Will unfold-" Dustin finally had enough.

"STOP! You guys, please, shut up," Dustin just wanted them to lay off of him.ย

Andrea looked at Dustin before smirking. She looked at the ground before focusing on Max and Lucas, manipulating their minds so that they could see the one scene of Nightmare on Elm Street that had freaked them out so bad.

Dustin noticed as the two looked startled before shifting away from the box before he nudged his sister's arm. She stopped and wiped her nose hiding the small smirk she had before going back to packing the boxes.

Andrea got a few more boxes done before she rose to her feet knowing that soon it would be time for everyone to leave. Andrea picked up a few boxes before she'd go between the house and the car to load the boxes in.

It did not take long before the others began to help as well. Everyone loading box after box before Jonathan shut the door of the UHAUL once everything was packed in.ย

"It's time," Mike whispered to Andrea as everyone began to form a circle, getting ready to bid their goodbyes.

Andrea felt the sadness hit her in waves. This goodbye would be something different. Andrea hadn't said goodbye to anyone in a while. Not anyone she cared about at least.

"You're going to be okay," Andrea smiled through her sadness as she fixed Will's hair, the boy in tears as he pushed her hand away before hugging her, "You'll love it."

Andrea felt as Will cried into their hug, "I'm going to miss you."

"I'll miss you too," Andrea rubbed his back as she held him close for a minute, "I'll miss my favorite doctor. You keep everyone in line, okay? Don't make me march up to California," Andrea gave Will a stern look as he pulled back.

Andrea watched as everyone hugged. Tears falling from everyone's eyes by the end of it.ย

"Jhonny boy," Andrea sighed as she looked at the eldest Byers, "You better not get out of line."

Jonathan resisted the urge to laugh as he looked at the girl he had called his friend, "I won't. Andrea, look, I'm..."

"I know," Andrea shook her head, "Your sorry. It's okay."

"You didn't even let me finish," Jonathan couldn't help but chuckle.

Andrea pulled him into a hug as she laughed, "Because I already knew Jonathan."

Jonathan moved on as he bid his goodbyes to the others. Poor Will cried the entire time even after he had hugged all of his friends. It broke Andrea's heart to see him so upset.

Andrea watched as Eleven walked over to her all teary-eyed, "Jeez, do I really make everyone cry?" Andrea joked before pulling her into a tight hug.

Eleven wrapped her arms around her, hugging the taller girl tightly, "Stay in touch," Eleven whispered.

"You thought you could drop me? You'll be trying to figure out who to answer first, me or Mike," Andrea whispered as she tried not to cry as well, "You be careful, okay? Promise me that you'll be careful."ย

Eleven pulled back as she looked at her, "I'll be careful, Sev."

Andrea sniffled as a tear fell down her cheek at the nickname, "You haven't called me that in a while."

The two girls had barely broken apart before pulling the other into a much tighter embrace. Despite how distant they could be from each other, they were the only two who truly understood each other. Both girls cried as they held the other.

Andrea held a hand to her mouth as she let Eleven go back to Mike. Tears still rolling down her cheeks as she watched everyone embrace one last time before the Byers would leave. Andrea was dragged into yet another hug by Will as he cried before Dustin joined.

"I'm losing some of my children," Andrea joked as she watched the cars pull off, "No one say anything about me crying."

Everyone watched as the Byers' pulled out of the driveway. Everyone cried to themselves as they stayed behind watching the cars leave. Nancy was the first to drive off after that, then the others got onto their bikes.

But Andrea couldn't find it in herself to leave yet.

She waved them off telling her to go ahead without her. She needed a bit more time to settle. Andrea stood by the Byers' house as she cried, all alone. Though she couldn't say it was their home anymore, now could she?ย

"Goodbye, little sister," Andrea whispered to herself before she picked up her bike, slowly getting on it before pedaling off.

Leaving behind the old Byers' home behind. She had just said goodbye to three people she cared about. Her best friends and her sister.ย

When would she see them again? Andrea did not know the answer to that question. Nor did she know how long it would be until that happened.ย
