And here it was. Presumably everyone's final night alive. They were being hunted. Tracked down. If anyone made it through the night, well, they were extremely lucky. Andrea feared for the worst. She feared that the last interaction with Dustin was the two fighting. Her last interaction with Steve being her running off in anger after their fight.

She loved them so much. She just prayed that no matter who lived and who died, wherever she would end up, she'd be with them. Even if this monster was not coming for Andrea, if it laid a hand on either of them... Andrea wouldn't be alive much longer.

And now, here everyone was sitting in a circle around the living room. Andrea stood as she faced the window of Hopper's cabin. The words 'he's coming' had just left her lips. No one said anything. Everyone just stared at the girl as she looked out the window.

Andrea knew what they were probably thinking. She had gone mad. This monster had driven her insane and she was incapable of fighting for herself. For fighting for the safety of others. Andrea turned her head as she looked at them, pointing to her ears.

"Listen."

And so they did. Nancy's head moved in Andrea's direction. The other woman slowly walked over to the window to peer out as well. Through the silence, it seemed that everyone had heard the sound, the sound that Andrea had heard.

"Do you guys hear that?" Nancy asked as she looked back at the others, making sure that she wasn't the only person besides Andrea hearing it.

"It's just fireworks," Jonathan tried to shut it down.

Nancy turned around, grabbing Andrea's arm, "Billy," She began to speak and Andrea nodded, "When he told you this, it was here, in this room?"

Eleven nodded as she looked at Nancy while Andrea whispered, "He's coming."

The sound of distant thuds ensued. Only further proves Andrea's point as everyone began to look up at the sky. Jonathan's claims of it being fireworks were far from the truth. This wasn't the fireworks that people were shooting for the fourth. It was what Billy had been talking about. What Billy had said was made for Eleven.

It's coming.

Andrea made eye contact with Will as his hand flew to the back of his neck. The look on his face mirrored all the other times that he had felt he was close. Andrea knew that even Will knew at that moment.

"He knows we're here," Will spoke out of the silence as his hand stayed on the back of his neck.

And then everyone began to leave the cabin. They knew if he knew that they were there then they needed to leave before he could get there. Though, Andrea knew that there was a good chance that he was fairly close to them due to the amount of noise it was causing.

And she was right. Everyone paused as the fireworks began to light up the woods. Showcasing the shadow of what appeared to be some sort of monster. Andrea could feel her heart begin to race as she backed up from the others. They watched as trees fell and the monster roared.

"Go back in," Andrea began to direct the crowd into the other direction, back into the cabin.

Everyone began to prepare the house for this battle. Nancy walked outside trying to find some sort of weapon in Hopper's shed before she retreated back into the house. Everyone began to board up the windows and shut the doors as if that would keep this thing out.

Nancy picked up the shotgun that she had sat down, preparing it for the events that were slowly coming closer and closer.

"Get away from the windows," Nancy ordered as she looked over at the other teenagers.

Everyone began to crowd around in a circle in the center of the cabin. Looking out for the source of the sound as they panted. Jonathan held an ax as if that could do anything. The lamps began to shake and all that anyone could hear was the noise of the monster outside.

Please do not let this thing look like those melted people...

The lamp continued to shake before the vibration traveled over to the plates. It was all around the place. Getting closer and closer and nothing could stop it. The sound of the leaves rustling caused a shiver to go down Andrea's spine.

Then the sound of the branches snapping. Everything in the cabin began to shake. Glasses fell off the wall. The ground shook underneath everyone's feet. Plates began to slide over the shelves. Everyone was on high alert when the rumbling stopped.

"Where'd it go?" Max asked as everyone continued to look around.

Nancy exhaled sharply as she looked around, trying to figure it out as well. Andrea looked around as she began to tug at her bracelet out of habit yet again. The sounds of her friend's breathing are getting louder and louder.

Andrea let out a loud scream as an arm of the creature came through the wall. The girl practically fell down to the ground before grabbing onto Will who helped the girl get back up and out of the way as the creature's arm grasped around inside the house.

The arm went straight for Eleven but Jonathan managed to spring into action and chop it with the ax causing it to coil back before shrieking. Jonathan grunted and kept hitting it until the creature slung back, sending Jonathan into the wall.

"Why does it have to look like that," Andrea exclaimed as she held a hand to her mouth.

The creature then went to get Jonathan on the floor, but Nancy pulled in with her gun. Cocking it before letting a round go causing the creature to shriek. She continued to shoot at it despite the creature wailing and screeching.

It was all fun and games until her rounds went out. Andrea concentrated and focused, pulling the monster back as blood began to drip from her nose, "Pick on someone else," She snapped at the creature before twisting her wrist causing the head to snap off.

The rest of the monster then slid back out the wall causing Max to yelp and run farther from the hole where she had been standing, "Holy shit!"

Another shriek ensued as another one came in from the wall causing Andrea to catch it in time. She heard the glass clatter as another one came in but Eleven caught it first as she now stood beside her sister.

Both were fighting to keep them from moving any further as they continued to shriek and bark at the two girls until they flicked their wrists causing them to snap apart. Andrea panted as Eleven breathed heavily until another one came through the roof and grabbed onto Eleven's foot.

It let out a roar and shriek and did not waste any time in getting the other girl into the air. Eleven managed to grab onto Andrea who held on as tight as she could but continued to slide as well.

"A little help!" Andrea yelled, not wanting to risk using her abilities and accidentally letting Eleven go.

Mike ran over and grabbed Eleven's arms as well as he screamed, "El!"

Eleven continued to scream as the monster kept trying to drag her out the top of the cabin. Mike yelled the name of the girl he loved while he helped Andrea hold on. Both are jerked forward every few seconds by the monster trying to take the girl.

The monster continued to grunt and screech as the two did not let Eleven go. Max ran over trying to help keep Eleven in the room and keep the other two grounded. Everyone flinched whenever the creature would roar but kept Eleven in a tight grip.

"Pull!" Mike yelled as Nancy began to load the shotgun.

Every one of the teens tried to pull Eleven back while Jonathan yelled, "Nancy! Shoot it!"

Eleven continued to yell as the creature snarled down at them. Andrea let out a yell of her own back while she pulled Eleven a little rougher than she had intended. There was no way this creature was getting her.

Nancy began to shoot the creature with the gun. Causing it to repeatedly jerk back while the teens tried to keep a grip on Eleven. The monster is still trying to take her from the cabin but no one lets go of her. Nancy continued to shoot.

"Lucas!" Max yelled, needing Lucas to help out, "Come on!"

Lucas managed to grab the ax and began to hit at the leg that had a hold on Eleven. Letting out a scream as the monster roared. Everyone stood their ground. Lucas grunted and yelled as he continued to hit it while Nancy kept shooting. All of the kids pulled Eleven back as they grunted and screamed.

Finally, they pulled Eleven down. The monster backed away but a piece of it was still stuck to the girl.

"El? El, are you okay?" Mike asked while Andrea used her abilities to fling the thing attached to El's leg away, causing her to let out a scream of pain.

Andrea watched as the thing crawled away, going back out a hole in the wall. The girl rose to her feet as she watched the creature continue to come in the door. Eleven walked forward and so did Andrea.

Both girls use their abilities to hold the thing in place and try to tear it apart. Eleven and Andrea let out a loud yell as the thing began to de-attach before Eleven dropped down.

"GO!" Andrea yelled as she held it in place, "I'LL HOLD IT!"

"You can't hold it that long!" Nancy exclaimed as Max caught Eleven.

Andrea continued her focus on the creature as she yelled, "JUST GO!"

And so they did. Getting Eleven in the car as Andrea held the creature in place. Listening as it screamed trying to get itself out of her grip. Slowly ripping apart the monster as she held it in place over the cabin.

She felt as the blood continued to pour down her nose and she listened as the others began to drive off. Andrea had to throw both hands up to keep it in place, panting as she tried to hold it. It was getting hard, it was fighting against her.

Andrea held it for a few more minutes before she threw her hands down. Causing the monster to rip apart. The girl let out a loud yell before she took off running, needing to get away. She ran out the door of the cabin, looking for anything that could give her some kind of transport.

The bike. Andrea ran over to the piece of metal on wheels and ignored the screaming of the monster as she quickly hopped on and began to pedal away. Needing to get out of there as soon as possible.

Where would they go? She honestly had no idea but she knew it had to be somewhere at least a bit close since Eleven was hurt and they'd need to clean the wound and get her settled out. The supermarket!

Andrea peddled away trying to get there as soon as possible. It took her about ten minutes to get there but she did, Andrea used her abilities to get in the door before locking it again.

"Don't be alarmed! It's me," Andrea yelled so that no one tried to kill her.

Andrea followed the small trail of blood before finding herself in an aisle with Max and Eleven. Andrea uses the end of her flannel to wipe the blood from her nose. Max nodded before leaving Andrea with Eleven.

"We've got you, El," Andrea held the cloth to Eleven's leg as she put pressure on the wound.

Mike sat down beside Andrea. Taking a look at the wound that Andrea was holding down on.

"Does it hurt?" He asked, giving Andrea a look to give them some time.

The girl let go, letting Mike take over before she began to walk through the aisles of the store. That creature was something insane. Andrea walked into the store bathroom as she looked in the mirror. Looking at the fresh wound that still resided on her face.

What will he think of me?

Andrea flinched away from the sight of herself in the mirror. She looked beyond rough. The bruises on her neck were still wild. She looked terrible.

"Andrea," A knock on the door as Nancy peered in, "Come on."

Andrea followed Nancy out the door before everyone crowded around Eleven as she sat in front of an open freezer of Eggo waffles with a flag around her eyes. Mike had explained that he had heard from Dustin - everyone looking relieved at Andrea's expression of hope, before telling her Eleven was finding them.

Andrea watched as Lucas opened his can, causing a bit of noise that could disrupt Eleven, "Quiet," Max whispered.

"Sorry," Lucas apologized before taking a sip.

Mike made a face, "How do you even drink that?" He questioned.

"Because it's delicious," was Lucas' simple response.

"What?" Max and Mike spoke in unison.

"It's like Carpenter's the thing," Lucas tried to explain, "The original is a classic, no question about it. But the remake..." He took another sip before answering, slurping before sighing with satisfaction, "Sweeter, bolder, better."

"Are you a car salesman?" Andrea questioned, Max, laughed.

"You're insane," Mike looked at Lucas with disgust.

"So, you prefer the original thing?" Lucas questioned.

"What? No, I'm not talking about The Thing, I'm talking about New Coke," Mike explained.

"It's the same concept, dude," Lucas argued as he held his can.

"Uh, actually, it's not the same concept," Mike shot back.

"It is the same concept!" The two were now in an argument over new coke.

"No, it's not," Mike refused.

"Yes, it is!" Lucas yelled before getting shushed.

Eleven ripped the flag from her face while snapping, "Hey."

Mike's head whipped in her direction, "Sorry."

"Sorry," Lucas apologized.

"Did you... find him?" Mike asked and Andrea looked hopeful.

Eleven nodded before speaking, "The movies."

Then everyone began to walk out with a buggy of fireworks. Eleven was being held up by Mike while Andrea walked in front. She was eager to see her brother. Eager to see Steve.

"The movies?" Lucas questioned, "Dustin's so freaked out about the gate, he decides to go watch a movie?"

"The Russians kidnapped the others," Andrea responded.

"Russians?" Max questioned, "Andrea, are you okay?"

"Yeah. Makes total sense," Lucas seemed to be unconvinced.

"You're positive he said gate and not great?" Max questioned Mike.

"Yeah, like this movie I'm watching is great," Will added, trying to make sure Mike hadn't messed up.

Andrea scowled at that. They made it seem like she was having false hope.

"Sounded like gate," Eleven confirmed.

"Which would explain how the Mind Flayer's still alive," Mike added as everyone began to exit the store.

Nancy seemed annoyed, "Yeah, we just have to shut it again.

"Then the monster dies," Will piped up as Andrea opened the door of the store.

"But if not, we always have Lucas' fireworks," Max added as she helped lift up the buggy to get it out.

"Keep mocking my plan, Max. Keep mocking it," Lucas dared his girlfriend as the two managed to get the buggy out without it flipping over, "I wanna hear you say it again because you keep doubting me. You keep doubting me!"

"I'd doubt you too," Andrea added as she made a face.

"Ridiculous," Max added as she looked at Andrea.

"Will! We're gonna prove 'em wrong, right?" Lucas had to ask Will to make sure.

Andrea watched as they pulled the buggy to the car. They knew that they needed to be quick because they needed to get out of there as soon as possible. Andrea helped grab heaps of fireworks, placing them into the back of Nancy's vehicle.

Everyone had to pitch in to load the fireworks in. Will had climbed in the back to help place the fireworks in places so that everyone could still sit down. Andrea followed in soon after once the buggy had been emptied of the fireworks.

Then everyone began to get back into the car.

Everyone opened the doors and clicked on their seatbelts after loading the fireworks in as well before getting ready to drive to the mall knowing that was where the movie theater was so that was their best bet in grinding Dustin and the others.

As they began to drive, Andrea looked out the window of the car. Staring out into the dark sky. The stars are barely visible. Andrea leaned on her elbow which rested on the small ledge of the window. Her eyes caught the fireworks that would light up the sky.

It did not take them long to reach the mall. The group pulled into the parking lot before Andrea got the doors unlocked. The girl raced the group in, making a run for it before she halted. She could hear the Russians.

She slowly walked over to the ledge that peered over the food court. She focused on one of the cars causing the car alarm to go off. The group of Russian men who held guns quickly turned around and looked at the source of the sound.

Andrea made the car shake before the Russians looked up at her. Catching sight of her and the entire group of people that rested behind her. Andrea did not like hurting people, but this was an exception.

Andrea slung her arm to the side causing the car to fling across the room, crushing the Russians. Andrea glared down at the vehicle. Ignoring the gasps of shock that the group let out from behind her.

The car continued to rock for a minute and Andrea continued to peer down, hoping to see the two people she longed for pop up from out of nowhere. She needed them too.

And they did. They slowly rose from behind a counter, looking at the car that Andrea had thrown before every one of them looked up. Andrea let out a gasp of relief as she ran down the stairs that led to the floor below.

Andrea hugged her brother quickly before he let go of her. The girl looked at Steve, the boy was beaten and bruised but that did not stop him from smiling. He ran up to her with a force, sweeping her off of her feet as she hugged him back. He placed her back on her feet as he inspected her face, a look of worry flashing through his eyes while tears flooded her own.

They were reunited.
