Andrea thought staying with Steve Harrington was an experience. One she hadn't thought she'd have to deal with yet she was proved wrong when she had been taken back to Steve Harrington's house late at night.

Without much of a choice, well, it was for the best reasons, especially since everyone needed to be up and going on the search for Dart the next day.

The night of the events of Dustin's weird creature escaping through a tunnel in his cement wall had proved her wrong. Steve took her to his house and made her sleep in his bed while he took the couch.

Which took hours of arguing.

Andrea kept refusing his help saying she could hold her down. Saying that she could protect herself and she wouldn't need Steve Harrington to protect her. After all, if the lab had found her and Steve was with her he'd most likely be killed.

And as much as Steve Harrington had annoyed her in her days in Hawkins, Indiana she couldn't help but feel drawn to the boy. The boy who was full of himself but cared for others. The boy who was deep inside was drowning like everyone else in the town.

When she woke up, she was going to wear what she had on but Steve came upstairs saying that they were dirty and it was completely unacceptable.

"You can borrow some of my old clothes and I'm sure we can find some of my mom's old things," Steve declared as he barged through his door holding a pile of clothes.

"I'm fine in what I am wearing," Andrea gave the boy a look, "Are you always like this?"

"Yes," was Steve's simple response as he tossed a long-sleeved grey shirt and a bomber jacket.

"I said I am fine in this," Seven repeated as she gave him a look.

"Do I need to put those on you like the jacket? Because I will, I'll be back with some pants or something and I expect you to be clothed," Steve put his hands on his hips before leaving the room and shutting the door.

Andrea rolled her eyes as she let out an annoyed huff at the Harrington boy's antics. Sliding off the jacket she had gotten last night before throwing off Nancy's old jumper. She slid on Steve's shirt which was way too big for her. The arms were a bit too long and it was slightly oversized and slipping off of her frame but she made it work.

A knock on the door as she picked up the jacket caught her attention, "Incoming entrance!" Steve called out.

The door swung open and the boy had one hand over his eyes and a pair of old jeans in his hands, they looked as if they had come from the 70s with the large bells at the bottom.

"Thanks," Andrea took the jeans from his hand as he remained standing with his eyes covered.

"No problem," Steve moved back out the door and shut it, leaning against the wood until given the signal to enter.

Seven slid off her shoes, placing them on the floor beside where she stood while she put on the new pair of jeans. They fit her pretty well, a little snug but overall they'd work. She sat on the bed and put her shoes back on and ran her fingers through her hair before she stood back up.

She grabbed Steve's jacket and draped it over her arm to wear whenever she got cold since Steve would not take no for an answer. The teenager made sure her tattoo was covered in the length of Steve's sleeves before pausing at the door.

Is it wrong to feel like this?

Seven's hand hovered over the doorknob. She swallowed thickly as she closed her eyes with a small sigh. Nancy had been with Steve. Steve and Nancy had been messy but some feelings had to have been there at some point.

Seven couldn't tell you what she felt or what it meant. She just knew ever since the party she felt some kind of pull to the Harrington boy. When he was upset, she was there to listen. When he walked away from her, her heart would fall.

Why am I like this?

Andrea's forehead pressed against the door as she forced herself to push her thoughts aside and get ready to go out and find this weird creature with the others. With the final push, she forced herself off of the door and twisted the knob moving backward as the door opened.

Steve fell backward from the door and Andrea nearly used her abilities to help him stabilize but instead, she caught him. She nearly ended up falling but she helped him back up.

He looked at her with a small smirk, "Sorry for falling for you."

"I should've let you fall," Andrea forced herself to keep a straight face as her heart began to race, she hit his arm, "let's go."

Andrea walked past him and began to leave the Harrington home. She made her way to his vehicle while he followed not too far behind her.

"Yes, ma'am. Thank you for catching me," Steve opened the driver's side door and climbed in beside Andrea.

The two drove around and picked up Dustin and whatever supplies he deemed necessary before driving out to the woods. Dustin believed that he might be able to find the creature or at least some sort of clue that would lead him to it.

The trio exited the vehicle and stood in the woods. Dead leaves cascaded over the ground and Seven thought the place seemed vaguely familiar to her.

She helped the boys grab out buckets from the car, wearing a pair of protectant gloves underneath Steve's shirt. It wasn't until another voice came in the air that anyone halted.

"Dustin! This is Lucas, do you copy? Dustin?" Andrea finished helping Steve before pausing.

"Well, well, well, look who it is," Dustin pressed down on some sort of button as he began to speak.

"Sorry, man. My stupid sister turned it off," The voice came back and it sounded like the one from the school.

"Well, when you were having sister problems, Dart grew again. He escaped and I'm pretty sure he's a baby Demogorgon," Dustin began to explain while his hands tugged at his pockets.

"Wait, what?" The confusion was evident in his tone.

"I'll explain later," Dustin said simply, "Just meet me, Steve, and Andrea at the junkyard, alright? And bring your binoculars and wrist rocket."

"Wait wait, Steve? Andrea?" He was clearly shocked by who was there, "Steve Harrington and Andrea Keene?"

"All right, let's go," Steve threw a bookbag on while Andrea picked up a bucket.

"Just be there! Stat, over and out," Dustin then followed suit after the two.

Andrea stayed behind the two boys. Throwing out the meat alongside the two. She figured out why these woods looked familiar, they were the woods she had escaped from and it put her highly on edge.

"Alright, so let me get this straight. You kept something you knew was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl who... you just met? And you helped him?" Steve looked back at Andrea whose gaze was settled on the tracks.

"Spur of the moment help," Andrea mumbled.

"All right, that's grossly oversimplifying things," Dustin did not approve of the way that Steve had worded this and it was noticeable.

"I mean why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway? Did Andy's reaction to last night not teach you anything?" Steve asked as he threw out more meat.

"An interdimensional slug? Because it's awesome. Andrea was just sick from the slime she was fine," Dustin shrugged it all off as he peered back at Steve.

"Well, even if she thought it was cool, which she didn't, I... I just..." Steve found himself trailing off, "I don't know. I just feel like you're trying way too hard, man."

"Keep things simple," Andrea mumbled.

"Well, not everyone can have your perfect hair, all right?" Dustin retorted and Andrea found herself in a situation where yet another person needed to talk.

"The hair is what sends girls away," Andrea joked trying to help out Dustin.

"It's not about the hair, man," Steve shook his head as he caught up with Dustin, "The key with girls is just... acting like you don't care."

Acting like you don't care? Is he serious?

"Ignore Steve, acting like you don't care usually makes them madder. Either show them you care or just flat out ignore them and they'll come around," Andrea pushed Steve out of her way so she could stand with Dustin.

"Even if you do?" Dustin asked Steve.

"Yeah, exactly. It drives them nuts," Steve grinned over at Dustin.

"No - no do not listen to Steve," Andrea let out a loud groan, "Please."

"Then what?" Dustin found himself asking again, "Steve has good advice!"

"No he doesn't!"

"Then you just wait until, uh... until you feel it." Steve looked around momentarily before looking between the two others who were with him.

"Feel what?" Dustin asked, confused.

"A hormonal rush?" Seven added jokingly.

"It's like before it's gonna storm, you know? Not a hormonal rush, no. You can't see it but you can feel it, like this, uh...." Steve continued to walk as he thought deeper into his words, "Electricity, you know?"

"That's your analogy?" Seven made a face of disgust.

"Oh, like in the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere-" Dustin got all into the details but not how Steve had meant.

"No, no, no, no, no. Like a... like a sexual electricity," Steve had settled.

Oh god.

Sexual electricity? That is really what he had decided to go with. Seven did not know what was more traumatizing, hearing this or having to learn about health and sex in the lab with the scientists.

"Steve," Andrea gave the boy a glare, "No."

"Oh," The way Dustin said oh almost made Andrea cry.

"You feel that and then you make your move," Steve explained as he threw down some more meat and pointed at Dustin.

"I think this is going to make me cry, and I don't cry," Seven spoke loudly.

"So that's when you kiss her?" Dustin questioned, the poor boy was as clueless about relationships as most teens. Seven barely had more basic knowledge from things she picked up.

"No, whoa, whoa. Slow down, Romeo," Steve was quick to stop that train of thought.

"Sorry," Dustin slowed down quite literally.

"Sure, okay, some girls, yeah they want you to be aggressive," Seven was trying so hard not to laugh, "You know, strong, hot and heavy, like a... I don't know, like a lion."

Andrea had to pause for a moment as she tried not to laugh, honestly glad she had some kind of distraction from her mind, "Steve, I am so questioning you."

"Mmm," Dustin took in Steve's words as if they were the gospel.

"But others you gotta be slow, you gotta be stealthy. Like uh... like a ninja," Steve decided was the best answer to go with.

"A ninja?" Seven questioned, she was definitely reconsidering everything she believed about this guy.

"What type is Nancy?" Dustin asked Steve and Andrea threw down some more meat biting back the bitter feeling.

"Nancy's different. She's different than the other girls," Steve spoke before looking back at Dustin, "But she wasn't right for me."

"Nancy, she seems pretty special. I guess," Dustin decided as he looked at the ground.

"Yeah, yeah she is but special doesn't always mean the one," Steve pointed out.

"But this girl's special, too, you know. It's just, like, something about her," Dustin truly seemed interested and Andrea managed a small smile.

"Woah, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey," Steve stopped walking nearly causing Andrea to trip.

"What?" Dustin asked confused, stopping as well.

"You're not falling in love with this girl, are you?" Steve asked Dustin while Andrea tilted her head.

"Steve, it's common for puppy love to come around," Seven laughed at his reaction, he was worried for Dustin to get hurt.

"Uh, no. No," Dustin immediately shut that down before looking at Andrea with the most innocent face, but he was clearly upset.

"Okay, good. Don't," Steve spoke sternly.

"I won't," Dustin declared before the three resumed walking again.

"She's only going to break your heart and you're way too young for that shit," Steve was clearly worried for Dustin.

Andrea walked off the tracks onto the unlevel ground to stay close to them, she nudged Steve's arm giving him a small look, "We all have to learn."

"Learn what?" Dustin asked now wanting to ask Andrea questions.

"Learn that sometimes we fall for the wrong people and it's okay. I haven't learned that myself, due to never having been in a relationship but-" Seven glared at Steve who cut her off.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You... You've never been in a relationship?" Steve asked as if the statement was impossible.

Andrea quickly became uncomfortable, "I never knew anyone before."

And she ended the conversation like that. Wanting to not go into detail and invariably tell the boys about her. Although she was pretty sure Dustin had figured it out. After all, he had known Eleven as well.

"Fabergé," Steve spoke after the pause of silence.

"What?" Dustin asked confused.

"It's Fabergé Organics," Steve pointed to his hair, "Use the shampoo and conditioner, and when your hair's damp... It's not wet, okay? When it's damp...." Steve was giving Dustin the secret of his hair.

"Damp," Dustin repeated to show Steve that he was following along.

"You do four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett spray," Steve concluded as his hands fell to his sides.

"Farrah Fawcett spray?" Dustin asked as if he were trying not to laugh.

"Yeah, Farrah Fawcett," Steve acted as if this was the most serious matter in the world, it made a slight smile come to Andrea's face, "You tell anyone I just told you that and your ass is grass. You're dead, Henderson. Do you understand?" He held up a piece of meat in his hand.

Andrea let out a laugh as Dustin nodded, "Yup."

Steve sighed and dropped the meat, "okay."

The three continued to walk for a minute, throwing out meat. Steve's bucket bumped into Seven every so often but she was careful not to fall over. A small grin rested on her lips as she continued throwing stuff out.

"Farrah Fawcett, really?" Dustin asked as if he still did not believe it.

"I mean, she's hot," Steve shrugged his shoulders.

"Yeah," Dustin was having a field day with Steve's answers.

The three continued to walk through the forest for a while, dropping out meat until they came out at the old Junkyard. Andrea stood by Steve's side as he let out a sigh.

"Oh, yeah. Yeah, this will do," Steve looked proudly around the Junkyard, his glasses resting on his nose.

Dustin laughed and Andrea nudged the boy's arm following after him. Steve took off his sunglasses and began to walk down the hill.

"This will do just fine," Steve declared as he placed his glasses inside of his pocket.

"Good call, dude," Dustin smiled and looked over at Andrea.

Steve began walking in front of them throwing out meat on the ground. The meat would hopefully lure the creatures to them. Which could easily be a bad thing. What if they couldn't stop them in time and someone got hurt?

"Have you dealt with stuff like this before?" Dustin asked her while he followed after Steve.

"No, but I've dealt with a giant hole in my wall," She made a small nudge at something from her past.

"Oh..." He was clearly confused but that was how Andrea wanted it to stay.

They continue to walk for a few more feet before dumping the meat out onto the ground. Andrea laughed as they did so because she almost dumped some of it on Steve who looked at her as if she had committed a war crime.

"I said medium-well!" The dark-skinned boy from the middle school yelled with the redheaded girl with him at his side.

He waved at the group as they began to walk over. The boy trudging over as he pushed his bike along through the grass.

"Who's that?" Steve questioned, Dustin, staring at the girl who stood on the hill.

Her arms were crossed firmly across her chest. She had a sort of scowl on her face and she seemed to be a bit bored of the situation. Andrea found herself slightly intimidated by the girl. She looked as if she were forced to be there. She doesn't look so happy...

"I think that's the girl," Andrea nudged Steve's arm as she leaned closer to him.

Steve looked at how Dustin was looking at the girl. She could tell he was worried about him and she felt bad.

It had been nearly a month since Andrea had escaped, although it definitely did not feel like it. Everything felt as if it had gone by really fast. Days after days turned into weeks. Though her mind really didn't register like that.

It was probably a lot faster for her because of all the time she had spent locked away.

But things were different now.

She knew things and she knew people. People whom she loved and she would protect. People who she longed for. People who she'd have to protect no matter the cost.

She saw the way that Steve looked at Dustin. He would protect Dustin until the very end. He was scared for Dustin go get hurt to understand emotions but Andrea would have to go through that too. Would he care?

Would she be on her own?

Part of her wished she could always stay with him. That she could help fill the gap of someone he needed. Though she doubted that. After all, she was no Nancy Wheeler.

"What are you thinking about?" Steve questioned, breaking the teenager out of her mind.

The girl looked slightly confused as she came to, "What?" She questioned.

"What were you thinking?" Steve questioned once again with a smile, "You were really zoned out there, Andy."

There it was. That god-forsaken nickname. "Nothing important," Seven returned back to her stand-offish demeanor. Hoping it would scare him away.

Though she also hoped it wouldn't.

"You don't have to be so tense," Steve held his hands up in the air.

The teenager let out a small huff as her curls fell into her face as she looked down at the ground. She listened to the sounds of the wind as it whipped around. The crunch of the grass beneath their feet as they moved.

Almost everything was dead. The grass was crisp obviously taken by the cooler air of autumn. The leaves were falling from the trees in various shades of reds and oranges.

It was like nothing that Seven had ever seen before.

"We've got work to do," was Seven's simple response to Steve as she moved herself away and continued to fix whatever she deemed appropriate.
