Act One: captain america: the first avenger: James Buchanan Barnes had a daughter named Ivanna Anastasia Barnes, or Ivy for short. Ivy is a splitting image of her father with the brown hair, and the bright blue eyes, and his personality. Bucky couldn't ask for a more perfect child in his life. Bucky recently lost his wife Dahlia to a form of cancer, which took her life a month after Ivy was born. (She had it for a while but didn't tell anyone about it). Dahlia spent as much time with her daughter before it was time for her to go. Bucky was forever grateful for his wife, as they met when they were eight.

After Dahlia's death he found peace and happiness in Ivy, as she's this bouncy girl with high energy. She's made him smile of her famous smirk and her laugh. She was his coping mechanism when he was coping to the death of Dahlia.

Then when Ivy was four he wanted to go into the Army not knowing that he will ever see his daughter again
He took the risk and then he got his orders he almost didn't want to tell Ivy, but something in him told him not to keep secrets away from his daughter. So he told her.

The reason why he wanted to get enlisted into the Army, because he wants to be someone that Ivy can look up to as a father, a man, but also a hero.

He wanted to be his daughter's hero. That's all what mattered to him the most. It makes sense because Dahlia is no longer here, and Bucky is the only parent that Ivy has left.

After Bucky got enlisted Ivanna went under the care of his sisters, until one day at the park out of the blue this man came and took her. She never knew what his name was except that he had a metal arm.

Which was weird and cool to Ivy.

But little did she know was that man, was her father. But turned into the Winter Soldier. (If that makes sense)

Act Two: Captain America: Civil War:

(I know it's a jump but bare with me :).

So Ivy has been keeping herself busy the last four years of her being in Canada. She stayed under the radar of people that would pose as a threat. But now she is comfortable in someplace in Canada.

She has been safe without an incident in about two years, after that incident happened. She also has no intend of leaving anytime soon.

So she heard of what happened in Lagos with the Avengers and the Sokovia Accords, but she was definitely against them. So apparently she would be a criminal but what's knew.
