ETHAN KNEW it wasn't apart of his father and sisters plan to get Aubrielle Riley to fall for him and for him to fall for her, but he was already in too deep. He knew he was in too deep the first day he stood outside he'd window and saw her change. As the respectful guy he is, he turned around. He was obsessed and couldn't help it. She caught his eye when her picture was shown of the news. I mean she was gorgeous. Anyone with a pair of eyes could see that she carried herself well, and was confident, but not too confident that it makes her sound full of herself. That made her even more beautiful than she already was.

        Ethan also liked that she wasn't embarrassed to be outgoing. She wasn't annoying about it, either, she's one of the loud nice kids in class who would help the quite kid get out of their comfort zone. He saw the way she cried on the news and it broke him when watching it back. He knew he'd never want to make her feel like that. He wants to make her happy. He wants to see that beautiful smile on her face it him being the cause of it.

        Of course he knew that he knew that his family wanted to kill her and her friends.

         He'd just have to hope and pray that Ellie would hear him out and he'd save her from getting killed. He had to. He had to so they could move out of the country and start their lives over and start a family together. He needed that.

        He needed her.

ELLIE WALKED into the apartment, yawning. "I gotta get out of these clothes. She walks into her room quickly changing.

As she walked out she sat next to Anika. She noticed that Anika looked at her upper chest and realized that the tattoo she got, that sat under her right collarbone, in honor of her dad was peeking out.

"I love it." Anika smiled, making Ellie smile. Anika gave the girl a hug making her laugh and then went back to watching the TV.

Tara and Chad were standing in the kitchen making the  everyone in the apartment—which consisted of Anika, Mindy, Ellie, Tara, and Chad—food.

        Ellie then walked into the kitchen stirring whatever's in the pot. "I think you should get out of the city." Tara finally said. "Considering what happened to you last time."

        Chad took the spoon from Ellie as she went to help Mindy set the table.

        "I wouldn't blame you... If you left." She mumbled.

        Chad looked back at Ellie who was laughing with Mindy while putting down forks and knifes then looked back at Tara. "That's very thoughtful of you, but I don't think I'm going anywhere. I couldn't leave you and Ellie here by yourselves."

"Aw, how sweet of you, Chad!" Ellie called out to the boy who just faked laughed at the girl.   

        "Here you go." Sam said to Anika as she placed pillows and a blanket for her to use during the night.

        "Sam?" Mindy asked.

        "Yep?"

        "We do not have to stay here."

        "Well, too bad. I insist. Safety in numbers."

        Ellie walked into the kitchen grabbing a bottle of water and sitting on the counter next to Chad and Tara.

        "This'll be so fun. A little slumber party with the fantastic five!" Chad cheered smiling at his friends.

        "Fantastic who now?" Ellie laughed at Chad.

        "Fantastic five!"

        "'Fantastic five'?" Sam question, furrowing her eyebrows at the tall boy in the kitchen.

        "Yeah!"

        "Did you just give us a nickname?" Tara asked with a dumb founded look on her face.

        "I sure did." He smiled at his friends once again but the four girl were too busy giving each other weird looks. "I mean, we've been through a lot together, and it's a pretty cool nickname."

"Chad, I love you and you're my best friend, but never say that disgusting bull shit again." Ellie joked with a bright smile on her face.

        "It's an amazing nickname." Chad frowned

        "That's debatable." Sam said, raising an eyebrow at their tall friend.

        "It's extremely debatable." Tara agreed.

        "You can't just give yourself a nickname, dingus." Mindy told her brother, rolling her eyes.

        "Well of course I can, dingus, because I just did." Chad sasses back. "Fantastic five, up top!" he said, raising his hand up towards his sister.

        "No."

        He then turned to Tara, "Down low."

        "Get that thing away from me."

        He turned to Ellie with a pleasing look in his eyes. "In the middle, please for the love of God."

        "Don't do it." Mindy laughed.

        Ellie felt bad for her friend and the fact no one was high fiving him so, out of pity she gave him a small high five.

        "Thank you, Ellie! I knew I could count of you for anything." He looked at the rest of the girls in the kitchen, "You know, I would like a little more respect and support for you three. My fellow meme era of the Fantastic Five."

        The group continued laughing at Chad until they heard Anika's voice calling for them from the living room. "Guys! What the hell?" Everyone walks in the living room, wanting to see what the girl was talking about.

        "We're hearing from sources inside the homo code division that the prime suspect is none other than Samatha Carpenter, one of the survivors of the Woodsboro killings in 2022, seen here attacking a woman on the street last night."

        The room goes quite with the reporter talking in the background as the six friends look at each other than at TV.

        "This is so fucked." Ellie mumbles, standing next to Sam and looking up at her. "We know you didn't do that shit. You're innocent."

        "Rumors sprouted online that Carpenter was actually responsible for the killings,  blaming the crimes on her boyfriend, Richie Kirsch and teen Amber Free—"

        Sam had heard enough. She took the remote out of Anika's hands to turn the TV off then walked into the dining room.

        Chad, Mindy and Ellie watch as Tara follows her inside and later follow the two.

        "Hey. Hey. Just a reminder, not a single person in this room hates you. Okay? We have all been through some fucked-up stuff, and we are coping with it differently." Chad speaks as he walks into the dining room, sitting across from Tara and Mindy sits next to him while Ellie sits at the end chair closer to Sam.

        "He's right. We all love and care about you, Sam. Fuck the internet. You can never believe a word the fucking internet says." Ellie says, lying her hand on top of Sam's.

        "Right, and I mean, we move here together for one very specific reason." Chad continued. "We are a team."

        Sam let's a tear fall from her cheek as she smiles at Chad. "We are the Fantastic fucking Five."

         "Thank you very much!" Chad cheers, high fiving his twin.

        "Ah, I hate myself for it!"

        "You said it!" Tara chuckled, covering her mouth.

        "He's never going to live down the fact someone actually said his terrible nickname." Ellie joked, with a big smile on her face.

       "That is what I'm taking about. It's the Fantastic Five."

        "Say it." Mindy told Tara, smiling.

        Tara shook her head and winded her eyes. "I'm not gonna say it. I mean, yes, we're a team, but..."

        "It's got a nice ring to it!"

        "I will never be saying that literally ever." Ellie smiled looking at the four at the table.

        "I've been sleeping with cute boy from across the hall." Sam confesses.

        The room goes silent until the four teen burst into cheers. "I fucking knew it."

        "Boom!"

        "I knew it!" Tara respected.

        "You called it."

        "He's a keeper, he is fine as fuck!" Ellie laughed as Sam rolled her eyes at the younger girl.

        "I knew it from the day you had that hickey."

        The fiver close friends are laughing in the dining room, forgetting about all the bad, terrible, fucked up shit that's happened in their lives and just let go. Elle felt weight lift off her shoulders as she looked at her friends smiles.

        She can call these people her family.

        Ellie gets a text and when she looks at it a small smile is on her face when she reads it's from Ethan.

        "Oh! Okay! Apparently, everyone is talking to someone except these two." Mindy jokes, pointing at Tara and Chad. "Who's it from. Wait! Let me guess, is he dorky, curly hair, name rhymes with 'tweakin'"

        Ellie hinds her face with her hands as a slight blush appears on her face. "Shut up!"

        Chad reaches over Mindy to grab his friends phone and reads the text that says 'I'll miss you while I'm at econ :)'"My teaching Ethan came in handy I see."

        Ellie reaches over and snatches her phone back then sits on the opposite side of where it was before. She turned it over so the screen would face the table.

"I knew you liked dorky guys, but Ethan?" Tara chuckled.

"Ethan's sweet! Leave me alone."

        Tara chuckled at her friend then an idea popped in her head. "I feel like we should high five or something." Tara requests with a bright smile on her face.

        "The Fantastic Five High Five—may we, please?" Chad says, sticking her hand up in the air.

        "Don't call it that, but we'll do the high five." Tara laughs, putting her hand on top of Chad's.

        The three other girls put their hand in the middle as the laughed.

        As they were talking they were interested but Danny calling the eldest Carpenter sister. Tara takes the phone to show their friends.

        Tara puts the phone to her ear, pretending to talk to Danny. "Hey, so what are your intentions?" Making the others laugh.

        "I'll call him back." Sam says hanging up the phone then putting it back.

        They were all caught off guard after hearing Quinn moan. "Oh my God, Quinn and her gentleman caller are back at it again." Elle said with a grossed out look on her face.

        "She's getting it, too? Okay!"

        They were all laughing until they each got a notification. They all looked at each other with suspicious looks. When they took out their phones and saw the photo Danny airdropped them, their smiles instantly went away.
