AUBRIELLE REALLY missed her father. Ever since the night he was killed she hasn't stopped dreaming of hearing her dads last words.

"I love you, Elle."

ย  ย  ย  ย  She remembers hearing her fathers sobs as the knife entered his back and stomach at the same time. The way her father looked at her with tears leaving his eyes.

"I love you, Elle."

She remembers the way she begged her father not to go back. Not go back and shoot that mother fucker in the head. But he did it anyway. He did because he didn't want his daughter to go through the same shit he did. But turns out he did all that work for nothing. She going through it again.

...

2011, DURING
SCREAM FOUR.

AUBRIELLE, WES, Chad and Mindy sat in the police station, waiting for Dewey to finish working.

Chad and Wes were sitting two seats away from the girls, whispering about something they didn't want Mindy or Ellie to know about.

"You should just tell her you like her!" A seven year old Chad whispered to a young Wes.

The young dark haired boy, Wes, shook his head vigorously with wide eyes. "No! She doesn't like me. She likes someone else."

ย  ย  ย  ย  "How do you know?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  "She told me." Wes folded his arms and pouted. "She won't tell me who though."

ย  ย  ย  ย  Meanwhile, the two girls were whispering as well.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "Wes obviously likes you! Just tell him." Mindy hyped the girl up.

"Never. I would never be able to show my face again if he does not like me back." Seven year old Aubrielle whined. "I am not doing it."

Mindy rolled her eyes then Dewey came out of his office. He picked up his daughter, making her giggle. "Hey, Sunshine." Dewey smiled, kissing his daughters cheek.

"Hi daddy! I missed you, you took so long." Chad and Wes made their way over to Mindy and sat down, looking up at Dewey and Ellie.

"I know, Elle. I'm sorry but now... we can go home! With all your friends." He sets her down and the other kids scream a loud 'yay' in unison.

All the kids run to Dewey's car with Wes Mindy and Chad in the back and Ellie in the passenger seat.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "What does everyone want to eat?" Dewey asked the four children. The three in the back agreed on Mcdonald's, Ellie didn't really care for it, but she still agreed anyway.

ย  ย  ย  ย  They all arrived to the Riley-Weathers Mansion and the kids ran into the kitchen to eat. Wes and Ellie on one side of the kids table with Mindy and Chad on the other.

ย  ย  ย  ย  As the kids ate, Ellie got up to talk to her dad. "Hey, daddy?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  Dewey looks up and smiles when he see's his daughter and her tippy toes looking over his desk. "Hey, sweetie. Why aren't you with your friends?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  "I'm not hungry," She walks over to her father and he picks her up to put her in his lap. "Whatcha workin' on?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  He covers the ghostface pictures with a different piece of paper, "Nothing you need to worry your small tiny little head about." He smiled at the girl and poked her waist, making her giggle.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "Why don't you go with your friends? I have work to do, Elle."

ย  ย  ย  ย  "But I wanna spend time with you!" She whines and pouts as her father takes her off his lap. "You've been working for forever! It's time to pay attention to me!"

ย  ย  ย  ย  "How about," Dewey started, thinking of a way her could work and spend time with his daughter. "You help me get this work done." He smiled down at her watching as her face lit up.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "Okay!" She hopped up on one of the chairs that were intro of his desk. "What do I have to do?" She asked, mimicking her dads voice. Which was just making her voice ten times deeper.

ย  ย  ย  ย  He pulled out a coloring book and crayons and put them in front of her. "You have to fill up every single one of these pieces of paper, okay. Now this is a very tough job and I wouldn't give it to anyone else. Don't mess it up." He pointed at her, with a stern look on his face.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "You can trust me, daddy!" She pours the crayons on the desk and turns to the first page of the book and starts to color.

ย  ย  ย  ย  Dewey looks at Ellie as she sticks her tongue out at the corner of her mouth as she draws a farm. A big smile grew as he wrote down everything he needed to know about the recents Woodsboro murders.

...

PRESENT.

IT WAS little moments like that, that would make the nineteen year old girl cry. Just spending time with the man she once called her hero. The man she wouldn't replace for anyone in the whole fucking world. The man that let her cry on his shoulder after some stuck up jock stood her up at Freshman homecoming. The man who threatened to arrest said jock since he had hurt the only person he'd die for.

ย  ย  ย  ย  Aubrielle always wondered if Dewey is happy that he went down protecting people. That was his job it was what he was the best at. Protecting the people he loved. And if Ellie loved Tara and Sam, then of course he'd go back to shoot that
fucker in the head. Because everything always led back to Ellie.

ย  ย  ย  ย  He would've done anything to make sure Ellie made it out of Woodsboro, alive.

ย  ย  ย  ย  And he did.

ย  ย  ย  ย  "I love you, Elle."
