personal characteristics

៹ ⸃⸃ .˚‧ ♱ █   personality     extraordinarily intelligent in academics, is at the very top of his graduating class, of course. however, he does not necessarily brag about this fact. in fact, he's a very nervous individual who becomes a complete nervous wreck when acknowledged for his intelligence and high marks. does not appreciate being put as the center of attention ever. he starts sweating at the thought of having to prepare and give a speech as the valedictorian of his class (has seriously considered beginning to fail all his classes for this very reason).
however, moving past his academic intelligence, benjamin has zero to no street smarts. he was a very sheltered child growing up. he had very 'no r rated movies, no eating too many cookies, no riding a bike with out a helmet or knee pads and elbow pads and whatnot, or going out to play with the neighborhood kids, no fun,' type of parents. hasn't ever smoked a cigarette or drank a bottle of alcohol in his life. you could probably figure this created some traumatic after effects, but who was checking? not his parents, that was for sure.
however, benjamin is surprisingly funny at the worst of times. has very sarcastic, sardonic humor. constantly mumbling remarks under his breath about the teachers and the school staff alike. he's pretty well-natured about most things.
៹ ⸃⸃ .˚‧ ♱ █   likes     boys, reading, painting, photography, video games, star wars, visiting bookstores every once in a while, iced coffee; he has one nearly every morning, joking around with people.

៹ ⸃⸃ .˚‧ ♱ █   backstory      as aforementioned was a very sheltered child growing up, didn't experience many of the experiences most children with normal parents have. he was adopted by two parents, a woman and a man, who had last a child during childhood— and they were terribly scarred and scared by the fact. however, they only ended up hurting benjamin more than they truly helped him by sheltering him. he does not tell many people about the fact that he is adopted— he looks vaguely similar to both his parents, no one very well suspects much, he doesn't feel he owes it to anyone to let them know.
his childhood was not the worst, they were imaginative parents, careful, and loving toward him.

he only recently exited a relationship with a woman in which he realized just how not straight he was at all.
is very wary about allowing people to know about his sexuality. there are a couple of people who are aware, and low-whispered rumors of him being gay, however, not many people necessarily believe them or take them as fact.
most certainly, without a doubt, a romantic. he's found a certain liking toward one of the boys at the school, actually. but who it is a secret he'll never tell. xoxo.
