Third Prompt: Window

The sound of shattering glass made Susan look up from her book. It sounded pretty near her.
What had that been?
Quickly she got up and searched the room the noise had come from.

On the way she found Lucy, walking in the same direction.
„What do you reckon it was?“, Lucy asked quietly.

„So you've heard too“, Susan said.
„I have no idea. Maybe it was Peter and Edmund.“

Lucy chuckled. „Maybe.“

The two sisters kept searching for the room the noise was coming from.
And suddenly they heard Peter and Edmund fighting in the room next to them.

The two of them looked at the other one and Susan opened the door and asked: „What did you do this time?“

Peter and Edmund jumped at the sound of her voice and Lucy bust out into laughter.
The window behind Peter and Edmund wasn't a window anymore, it was glass, that was splintered across the room, and in Edmund's Hand laid the ball, with which the two kings always played cricket.

That and the guilty look on their faces was answer enough.
Lucy almost died of laughter and Peter and Edmund grew more uncomfortable with every second.

And Susan just stood there, wondering why her siblings always had to make trouble.
And of course, how she could get the window back whole again.
