Lucy knew that it wasn't in there.

But she needed a proof.

She climbed into the wardrobe, just like two years ago.
But instead of a big wardrobe with a magical land was a back wall made of wood.

„Lucy?", Susan asked from outside.

The four siblings were at the professors' because he couldn't afford to live in this big house anymore and had to move. They helped him to take the most important things with him.

Lucy got out of the wardrobe and looked at her sister.

„What a nice wardrobe", Susan said and looked at the carvings in the door.

„Yes", Lucy said.

„Wasn't this the one you hid in when we were playing hide and seek?"

„Yes", Lucy said again.

Susan didn't remember Narnia.
Or, better, she didn't remember that it existed.
She thought it was a game, a childish game, that the siblings had come up with while waiting for the war to be over.

But Lucy still remembered.

„What were you doing in it anyway?", Susan asked.

„I...I was looking for something I found in it when I hid there", Lucy answered truthfully.

„And did you find it?"

„No", Lucy said sadly. „It's gone."

„That's a pity", Susan said, but she didn't care. Lucy heard it and that was hurting her more than anything else in this world.

„Yeah", she sighed. „That's a pity."
