The effect Rosalyn, Harry, Ron and Hermione had was instantaneous. People got to their feet and clapped, the hope on people's faces was plentiful.
Rosalyn jumped down and allowed people to swarm her and thank her. She was glad, however, when Neville stepped in."Okay, okay, don't kill her before You-Know-Who gets the chance!"
Rosalyn grinned as the crowd thinned and fell silent around her. "So, what's the plan, Rosie?"
Things went properly silent then. "Okay," Rosalyn started unsurely. "There's something in the castle we need to find. Something that may help us find You-Know-Who."
"Okay, so, what is it?" Ernie Macmillan, a Hufflepuff boy that was in the DA asked.
"Don't know," Rosalyn told them.
"Where is it?" Ernie persisted.
"Don't know that either," Rosalyn bit her lip. "Listen, I know that's not a lot to go on-"
"That's nothing to go on," Seamus pointed out.
"Fuck off, Seamus," Rosalyn rolled her eyes, trying to tell them as much as possible without giving it away. "I think it's something to do with Ravenclaw. It'll be small, easily concealed- any ideas?"
Silence.
"Well, there is Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem," Luna suggested.
"Oh bloody hell, here we go," Rosalyn heard Ron whisper behind her. She stamped on his toes, hard, and he shut up.
"Yes, but Luna, it's lost, there's not a person alive who's seen it," Cho said desperately.
"No, wait," Rosalyn held a finger up to shush her. "This is a Hogwarts founder object, is it?"
Luna nodded. "I can't believe you haven't heard of it, it's quite famous."
"Excuse me, can somebody tell me what a bloody diadem is?" Ron asked.
"It's like a sort of crown, or a tiara?" Cho told him.
Suddenly the door to the room opened and Ginny came running in. She had eyes for only-
"Harry."
"Hi there," Harry said slowly with lovesick eyes.
"Six months she hasn't seen me and it's like I'm a frankie first year," Ron said indignantly. "I'm only her brother."
"She's got lots of those though, and only one Harry," Seamus commented, smirking. This caused Rosalyn to laugh.
"Shut up, Seamus," Ron said in annoyance.
"What is it, Ginny?" Neville stepped forward.
"Snape knows," Ginny said in distress. "He knows Rosie was spotted in Hogsmeade."

Snape had also called an emergency assembly in the dead of night. But the DA also had a plan to infiltrate this.
Rosalyn was going to hide amongst half the students in the DA, protected by them, with a Hogwarts uniform on. The rest would hide outside the doors when they closed, ready for the time when Rosalyn would call them. Order members had now arrived, such as Lupin, Kingsley, Molly and Arthur. They hated Snape as much as everyone else now.
Anyway, once the students arrived in the hall, Snape sweeped down the aisle that they had left for him, his cloak flying when he turned round.ย ย ย
"Many of you are surely wondering why I summoned you at this hour," he looked the students up and down. "It has come to my attention, that earlier this evening... Rosalyn Potter was spotted in Hogsmeade."
An outbreak of whispering took place, but Snape shushed it immediately. "Now, should anyone... student or staff... attempt to aid Miss Potter... they will be punished... in a manner consistent with the severity of their transgression. Furthermore... any person found to have knowledge of these events... who fails to come forward... will be treated as... equally guilty.
"Now then," Snape stood up a bit higher, walking amongst the students. "If anyone here has any knowledge of these events... I invite them to step forward... now."
There was silence, then a few steps, then Rosalyn stood before Snape. "It seems that, despite your exhaustive defensive strategies, you still have a bit of a security problem, headmaster," the order came marching through the doors, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville at the fore. "And it seems to be quite extensive."
"How dare you stand where he stood." Rosalyn was shouting now. "Tell them how it happened that night! Tell them how you looked him in the eye! A man that trusted you, and you fucking killed him! Tell them!"
Instead of telling anyone anything, Snape drew his wand. But before Rosalyn could draw hers, McGonagall stepped in for her.
Rosie ran to the edge of the hall as everyone moved to the side. She saw McGonagall fire fire at Snape, who blocked it.
But he never attacked.
McGonagall advanced, shooting more spells at Snape. She shot fire, sparks, and probably pain at him. All Snape did was defend himself.
Suddenly, Snape turned to smoke, like all the death eaters could. "COWARD!" McGonagall bellowed after him.
There was a great tumult in the great hall. Lots of cheers and claps arose as McGonagall relit the flames in the torches around the room. Now they actually had a leader that they liked.
"Rosalyn..."
Suddenly, a cold high whisper echoed throughout the hall. Rosalyn was now pushing past students to try and make it to the order. She needed to find them.
"I know that many of you will want to fight... some of you may even think that to fight is wise... but this is folly..."
Rosalyn found the order just as she heard her name.
"Give me Rosalyn Potter, and none shall be harmed... Give me Rosalyn Potter, and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched... Give me Rosalyn Potter... and you will be rewarded.
"You have one hour."
There was a silence that followed this that everyone seemed unwilling to break. Rosalyn stood there like a pariah.
"What are you waiting for?" Pansy Parkinson finally yelled. "She's right there! Someone grab her! Let's just-"
"Over my dead body!" Neville shouted back, shoving Rosalyn behind him, holding her hand in his and squeezing it, letting her know he would never leave her.
Then the whole Order and the DA surrounded Rosalyn, stopping anyone from getting in at her.
Suddenly, Filch decided join the party. "Students out of bed!" He yelled, doing his weird run down the hall. "Students in the corridor-"
"They are supposed to be out of bed you blithering idiot!" McGonagall shouted sharply.
"Oh," Filch turned to leave.
"As it happens, Mr Filch, your arrival is most opportune!" McGonagall said in a high pitched voice. "If you would, I would like you, please, to lead Miss Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house from the hall!"
"And where'll I be taking them to, Miss?" Filch looked confused.
"The dungeons would do," McGonagall shrugged.
There was another smattering of applause. Filch did indeed take Slytherin from the hall as Rosalyn hurried up to McGonagall.
"I presume you have a reason for returning, Potter, what exactly is it you need?" She asked.
"Time, Professor, as much as you can give me," Rosalyn asked.
"Very well, you do what you have to do, I'll secure the castle," McGonagall told her. "Potter?"
Rosalyn, who had turned to go, turned back. "It's good to see you," McGonagall nodded.
"It's good to see you, too, Professor," Rosalyn smiled slightly as she ran off amongst the students who were either flighting or fighting.
As she ran up the stairs past fleeing portraits and shouting children, Rosalyn thought about what she was about to do.
"Rosie!"
Rosalyn turned round and saw Ron and Hermione standing before her.
"Hermione and I have been thinking," Ron told her hurriedly. "It doesn't matter if we find another horcrux."
"What does that mean?" Rosalyn asked.
"Unless we can destroy it," Hermione told her best friend.
"So, we were thinking-" Ron was soon overridden.
"Well Ron was thinking it's Ron's idea it's completely brilliant," Hermione motormouthed.
"You destroyed Tom Riddle's diary with a Basilisk fang, right?" Ron made sure. Rosalyn nodded. "Well, Hermione and me think we know where we might find one."
"Okay," Rosalyn nodded. She pulled the Marauder's Map out her pocket. "But take this, that way you can find me when you get back, as for Harry-"
"It's fine, we'll find him," Hermione nodded as Rosalyn ran off. "But where are you going?"
"Ravenclaw common room!" Rosalyn answered over her shoulder. "Gotta start somewhere!"
"As she ran up the stairs, she heard a voice follow her. Luna's.
"Rosie! Rosie listen!"
Rosalyn went on ignoring her.
"Rosie, wait, I need to talk to you!" Luna persisted.
"I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment, Luna," Rosalyn told her, whilst fighting the stream of students going down the stairs.
"You won't find anything where you're going you're wasting your time!"
"Yeah, well, just-"
"Rosalyn Potter, you listen to me right now!"
For a second, Luna's eyes flashed and she raised her voice for the first time since Rosalyn had met her. "Don't you remember what Cho said about Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem? There isn't a person alive who's seen it."
Rosalyn pursed her lips, begging Luna to give her the answer, which she soon did. "It's obvious, isn't it? You have to speak to someone that's dead."
