"See you tomorrow," Keefe said as the light whisks him away. A few seconds later keefe arrived to his home, Candleshade. He walked in to the huge skyscraper and was greeted by his Father, Lord Cassius, grumbling about a newspaper article about him.

"These newspapers keep writing about me. Do they not have anything else to talk about?" He says, "Anyways, did you find her today?"

"Actually I think I did," Keefe says with a smug smirk on his face. Cassius got up from his seat and faced Keefe.

"You actually found the Moonlark?"

"Yes that is what I believe..."

Cassius then starts pacing around the room running his fingers through his hair, "Keefe do you know how much this will change my reputation. We might be more famous then the Vackers."

"Yeah well she might be different from what you expect."

"What do you mean different," Cassius says as he turns around and looks at his son.

"Well she has brown eyes-"

"Oh so she's not the moonlark," Cassius says with disappointment on his face. He walks back to his chair he was on before and reads the newspaper.

"No she is the one. I saw her use telekinesis and I think she's a telepath too," Keefe says.

"How do you know?" Cassius asks. Keefe then started to explain what happened that day. He skipped the part about bringing her to the lost cities because his father would have killed him.

"Wow, I need to tell the council about this. Till then you might want to take a shower," He says with a look of disgust on his face, "You smell like a human."

After Keefe took a shower he laid on his bed and thought about the events that happened that day.

"Why did Sophie have stronger emotions," he thought, "Did the neverseen know about her? Does the Black swan know I came? What's going to happen to her human family?"

The neverseen was an evil group who had attacked the lost cities a few years earlier. Keefe's mom, Lady Gisela, has been one of the leaders. This caused the Sencen family name to lose its reputation. In order to get their reputation back, Cassius sent Keefe on missions to find the moonlark.

His thoughts got inturrupted by the door opening. He sat up from his bed as the door opened to reveal his father.

"I talked to the council and they said that they were going to come tomorrow and test her to see if she is eligible to go to Foxfire," He says, "I'd like you to bring her tomorrow to Candleshade and use your old nexus so she doesn't fade away."

"Ok," Keefe says as Cassius closes the door. With that Keefe crawled into the covers and drifted off into a deep sleep.

Thanks for making it to the end of this chapter! This chapter isn't my best but I promise that the plot will get better. It was kinda hard to write a happy Cassius lol. I've decided that I will try to post one time a week and longer chapters since online school is over for me. Hope you guys have an amazing summer!! ♥︎
