(AUTHOR'S NOTE: Alright so let me start off by saying that Chapter Five is still very much in the works, it's taking very long due to creative block and my life outside of social media being kinda shit and taking a toll on me mentally but uh-good news we got 10-ish days until the Netflix adaptation of One Piece is released! I will unfortunately be on the road on it's release day for about 6-7 hours since I am going with my family to California for my younger sister's soccer tournament, but not only will I be starting the Netflix version as well as the alternate version of this story based on the Netflix adaptation once I've made it to my destination-due to my recent and rapid decrease in mental health-when my family leaves post-Labor Day weekend (so like 4-5 days from when we leave) I will not be going with them as I will actually be staying with my grandmother in California for the entire month of September. My grandma however is so excited to the point where she says if I want to come back or stay there for longer then I'm free to but that'll depend on what may be coming up after the month ends but if I do stay there for longer or go back at some point afterwards I will keep you guys posted! But I'm hoping with a new environment and a break from my life in my home state I will be able regain more of my creative energy to hopefully update more! I'm especially hoping for this so that not only I can update this story but also write all the chapters for the Netflix alternate version that will cover the first 8 episodes we get (if we get more or not depends on if we either get another season or if I'm able to think of ideas for the Netflix version.). Also I obviously have my Buddy Daddies story so I'm hoping I'll be able to update that some too. NOW ONTO THE POINT OF THIS "BONUS CHAPTER"!!!! As of me writing this my birthday was Sunday. But, since I am a year older than the age I was when starting this (I was 19 and am now 20), I was originally going to just edit the bits mentioning my age but then I figured writing a bonus chapter would be more fun! So since the biggest purpose for this bonus chapter is to transition to my current age of 20, it will be canon, and also it will take place after Syrup Village/Usopp Introduction arc but right before Baratie/Sanji Introduction arc (It'll take place at the same time as when the crew meets Johnny and Yosaku)! I guess in a way you could consider this a "Preview Chapter" or something like that since this is also the start of a future part of this story. Since I obviously have not started writing the Syrup Village arc I will not spoil anything about the much bigger ideas for what I have planned for the remainder of the Orange Town arc or the primary events of the Syrup Village arc(aka meeting Usopp and fighting the Black Cat Pirates). The only things I will mention other than the things most people should know after watching Syrup Village which is the addition of Usopp to the Straw Hats and the crew gaining their first ship, the Going Merry, are that after the fight with Captain Kuro, Usopp's friend Kaya gives Isaac a new outfit since Isaac had been wearing the same outfit of a short sleeved hoodie and shorts since they first arrived in their world as well as a new pair of glasses since in Chapter 3 it is stated that Isaac does need glasses, because it's my self insert and I need glasses due to being nearsighted. There would be a slight plot change to where instead of Klahadore/Kuro originally attempting to destroy a pair of glasses gifted to him by Kaya, he wouldn't have seen them or known that he was to be gifted them until after his decievement has been revealed and then once he has been dealt with Kaya would learn that Isaac needs glasses and so she would give them to Isaac instead (I couldn't find anything on why Kuro wears glasses so we're gonna pretend he has the same prescription I do.) Also by the end of Syrup Village Isaac will have at least a temporary weapon of his own. Some may consider this to be a bigger plot point but I have bigger ones for the rest of the overall story so I think these are okay to spoil a tad. Also, I am aware that One Piece first started in the 90s but for comedic purposes, I will be older than the Straw Hats aside from Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe who will later join the crew. And also I tried researching how much time passed during the East Blue Saga and I couldn't find anything other than that shit's real complicated so for the purpose of the story, Baratie Arc will happen during mid-August, just bare with me. Last thing is that I will be editing the part of the description mentioning my age so if people are wondering about that this is why. I hope you enjoy the chapter~!)

Bonus Chapter (Preview Chapter):

"  Isaac Celebrates His Birthday And His Near-Death Day"

It had been a little bit since the Straw Hat Pirates, now joined by Usopp and their new ship the "Going Merry", had left Syrup Village to return to sea once more. Isaac was sitting against the railing of the ship's deck next to Nami who was sitting in a chair reading, Usopp was cleaning his slingshot, and Zoro was sleeping. Isaac had a distanced look on his face as he was lost in thought about what day it was and whether or not he should let his new friends know that today he was now a whole year older. 'I knew I'd probably been here for a decent amount of time, but I didn't think about the possibility that I'd be spending my birthday here...But I guess that's what I get for not asking about the dates since coming to this world where they don't seem to have clocks handy.' Luffy came out on the deck with a big crate labeled "DANGER" and when he dropped it out of his hands it made a thud, startling Usopp and Isaac especially because Luffy had dropped it right next to where Isaac was sitting and he had obviously been zoning out. "This sucker's heavy!" Luffy exclaimed. Nami put her book and asked, "What the hell is that?" "I found it in the storeroom!" 

Nami and Isaac stood up and looked into the crate curiously and saw at least a dozen cannonballs. "Okay so we have cannonballs, but what's so special about that?" Nami asked unamused, "I figured since we have our own cannon now that we could do some target practice!" Luffy explained. "Just leave the cannoning to me!" Usopp said before grinning smugly, "I look back to the time I was 3 years old and jumped on a passing cannonball halfway around-" Luffy studied the cannon, "So how do you work this thing?" He asked aloud. Usopp shouted at Luffy in annoyance for ignoring his false memory before Luffy shouted, "Zoro! You know how to shoot this?" Zoro was unresponsive as he was sleeping, "That guy sleeps constantly, good luck getting him to help. I mean-earlier Isaac was trying to ask him about something and he was out like a light-right Isaac?" Isaac was once again sitting down, zoning out and definitely wasn't in tune with the conversation, his eyes were even closed. Nami called out his name trying to get the pink-haired male's attention but was met with silence. "Did he fall asleep too? I expected it from Zoro but not Isaac." Luffy went over to Isaac, grabbed the shorter male's shoulders, and shook him a bit while yelling, "Hey! Izzie! You awake! Come and try out our new cannon with me and Usopp!" Isaac slowly opened his eyes before jolting and yelping at the shock of being immediately met with another pair of eyes. "Dude-Luffy-what was that for!?" He exclaimed. "Sorry Izzie, Nami thought you were asleep because she was trying to talk to you and you're eyes were closed and you were quiet." 

Isaac's facial expression immediately turned into one showing his visible nervousness, "Oh-sorry-I wasn't sleeping I was just...Thinking I guess." He explained looking down. "About what?" Luffy asked. "Nothing too important, so don't worry about it." Nami looked at Isaac, "Does it have something to do with today's date? It seemed like you started acting weird ever since you asked this morning and I told you." She asked. Isaac hugged himself and bit his lip, hesitant to answer her. "What is the date today?" Usopp asked chiming into the conversation, "It's August 20th." Nami replied. Usopp looks at Isaac, "Come on Iz, what's so significant about this date?" Luffy sat down next to Isaac and pat his back, "Come on Izzie, you're a part of the crew now and you're our friend, don't feel like you can't tell us." He said which was surprisingly mature of him, "I mean, before we set sail again you told us you were Piesexual-" "He said he was Bisexual, Luffy." Nami interrupted, Luffy's words seeming normal again after making that mistake, "That's what I meant-but the point is that you should just tell us! I mean-if this date is important to you then we wanna know!"

Isaac's mouth was agape as he somehow keeps forgetting that Luffy gets really serious about his friends and so he takes a breath, before beginning to explain. "Well-uh-today is important to me because...I'm now a year older than I was when I first came here." He said. "ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SAYING IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO MENTION!?" Luffy shouted. Isaac nodded somewhat shamefully, "Sorry I guess I just figured I wouldn't mention it because then I'd think about how this is...This is the first time I'm spending my birthday without my family..." He explained. Luffy, Usopp, and Nami's eyes all widened a bit as they saw Isaac's glasses fogging up, tears streaming down his cheeks, and him sniffling. "I guess learning today was my birthday made me finally realize how long I've been here, how long it's been since I first came here falling from the sky before landing in Luffy's boat, and how long it's been since I've last spoken to or seen any of my family members." He took off his glasses and wiped his tears, "Every year for my birthday my family would practically spoil me rotten even when I didn't even feel like I deserved it. My dad would make me breakfast, my mom would literally force me to stay in my room until she said she had finished decorating our family room, and my little sister would make me little miscellaneous things since she's a little kid and doesn't have money, and then by the time my birthday had rolled around last year my little brother had started working his first job and he decided to start buying my birthday gifts himself from then on! And although that's obviously really nice of all of them, one of my favorite parts of my birthday is when we'd go out to eat together as a family...My family doesn't do a lot together anymore because of how busy we all are-so eating together felt really nice..." 

Isaac looked up and saw his 3 crewmates staring at him, making him nervous. "Sorry-that was probably a lot of extra info I just dumped on you guys..." He said before suddenly being pulled into a hug by his captain, "Uh-Captain?" He asked. Luffy grinned at him, "Well Izzie, you may not be able to celebrate with your family this year-but that doesn't mean we're gonna let you go without some sort of birthday celebration! I'm gonna make sure we take you out to a restaurant with a bunch of amazing food that we can eat together! I promise!" He declared which caused Isaac to chuckle, "That's really cool of you Luffy, and I'm obviously really grateful, but it may take weeks before we find another island with some sort of eating establishment. I mean-it's not like there's gonna be a restaurant in the middle of the ocean." He said. "Either way I'm gonna make sure you're celebrated even if it's a month later!" Isaac smiled, "Well I guess I'll hold you to it then! Now then-you were wanting to do some target practice right? Then let's do it!"

"Yeah alright! Usopp, we're gonna have Izzie try after me okay!" 

"You got it!

After Luffy took his shot and missed, he and Usopp loaded another cannonball for Isaac's turn. "You ready to shoot a cannon, Birthday Boy?" Usopp asked, "Hell yeah I am! But I can't promise I'll do any better than Luffy!" Isaac aimed the cannon at the mountain they were targeting, and once the cannonball was launched it landed much too far to the right of the reef, "That was way off the mark!" Luffy exclaimed, "Well I did warn you guys!" Isaac said before laughing, "Hey, what's so loud down there!?" Shouted Zoro who had finally woken up, "Cannon firing practice! But it's not going very well." Luffy replied. Usopp stepped forward ready to take his turn to shoot, "You guys gotta let the expert aim this thing." He said before readying his aim, "Judging from the flying distance of Isaac's shot, this should do it." 

"FIRE!" The 3 shouted as Usopp's cannonball hit and demolished the mountain they were targeting. "Woah you hit it on the first try!" Luffy exclaimed "Usopp that was freaking awesome!" Isaac cheered, "Wow, I really did it." Usopp said before grinning, "So whatcha' think? I'm pretty magnificent when it comes to aiming! So, are you both impressed yet!?" 

"Yeah, you'd better believe it!" Luffy exclaimed.

Isaac glanced up at where Zoro had been sleeping and noticed the green-haired swordsman was now upright looking down to where he, Usopp, and Luffy stood. Isaac grinned and fully turned to look up at Zoro while waving, "Mornin' Matcha Boy! Hope you had a nice nap!" He shouted. Zoro glared at the pink-haired male for the nickname, "Who the hell you calling Matcha Boy, Pinky!?" He retorted. Isaac put a hand on his hip and pointed up at Zoro, "Well considering you now have 2 nicknames you specifically call me, first Pinky and now Topknot because of how Kaya did my hair before we left Syrup Village, I think it's finally about time I have a specific nickname for you! This shit's been long overdue! And since you not only clearly dislike me calling you Zo-Zo, and you also seem to have based both your nicknames for me based on my hair-I've settled on Matcha Boy!" He explained before noticing Zoro's slightly more confused expression and sighing, "Okay that's on me for thinking you'd be one to have drank tea enough to know different types. Matcha is powdered green tea, and so obviously the powder is green. Your hair is also green! I think you can put two and two together after that!" 

Nami sighed as she bared witness to these two arguing over Isaac giving Zoro a nickname for the sake of 'fairness', "I swear those two just gotta cut the crap and kiss or something because this got old back when I started traveling with them and Luffy. Or maybe those two are just that dumb and don't realize that they're being mistaken as a couple by a good amount of the people we come across...I mean first, there was that Cabaji guy from the Buggy Pirates, then those 3 kids Usopp's friends with, Merry, and Kaya was really shocked when I told her they weren't a couple...Oh well, I guess I'll just have to deal with it for a little longer."

A little later the 5 of them were in the kitchen with Zoro laying against the fridge, unlike the others who sat at the table. "So Isaac how old are you turning anyway?" Usopp asked to which Isaac swiftly replied, "Oh I'm turning 20." which received shocked reactions from Usopp and Nami. "YOU'RE THE OLDEST OUT OF ALL OF US!?" They both shouted to which Isaac unamused nodded. "Yeah, why? Did you think I was younger? Until today I was 19, the same age as Zoro. I mean-given I'm the shortest I wouldn't be too surprised if you guys had some sort of misconception..." 

"I think I'm just more shocked to hear you're the oldest even including Zoro, no offense," Nami replied. "It's because I'm short. But I'm used to it so you don't really gotta worry too much."

Luffy finally spoke up, "Hey guys, I think there's still one other position we have to fill before we can head out for the Grand Line." The other 3 at the table nod, "I suppose it is vital for long trips." Zoro stated from his spot in front of the fridge, "Yeah, and as much as I like doing it, I don't know enough to be able to provide what's needed for a big adventure like this one. Honestly, I only took over because Nami was charging all of us for her to take up the mantle." Isaac said. 

"No decent pirate ship should be without one! A musician!" Luffy exclaimed, causing all of the others to react, "Are you an idiot!?" Zoro shouted. "What do you think we're doing out here!?" Nami scolds and Usopp sighs saying, "Just when I think you're gonna say something smart." Isaac rubbed his temples, "Sorry Captain I don't think I can defend you with this one..."

"But we're pirates, and pirates sing a lot! Didn't you know?" Luffy asked. Suddenly the sound of a barrel shattering came from outside along with an unfamiliar voice shouting, "GET OUT HERE 'YA DAMN PIRATES!"

Luffy opened the door, Isaac peering over behind him out of curiosity. "Hey! What the hell? Who are you?" Luffy confronted who was a man with sunglasses that had somehow come aboard the ship. "Shut up! Who I am means nothing! 'Ya stinking pirate!" The man shouted before attacking Luffy who jumped away. Isaac slowly walked out of the kitchen and shut the door while holding up his hands, "Heeeeeeey Big Guy, I don't know what you think we may have done but-uh-maybe there's a way for us to talk this out so you won't end up destroying our new ship. Now if you could just stop attacking my friend and maybe also put down the big sword then we can-"

"Don't try and get cute with me! I've dealt with many pirates like you who look and act innocent before pouncing like a predator! YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH WHAT YOU DID!" The man shouted before trying to attack Isaac who quickly ducked while screaming, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!" As he continued to dodge and flee his attacker he shouted, "GUYS A LITTLE HELP HERE WOULD BE GREAT! I'D PREFER TO NOT DIE ESPECIALLY TODAY-OH MY GOD!" 

Nami and Usopp watched from the small circular window on the kitchen door as their pink-haired friend cried out for help and then Zoro asked:

"Hey guys, how many are out there?"

Nami replied, "Uh...One." 

With no concern on his face, Zoro said, "Then just let Luffy handle it."

"But Isaac's out there too!"

"Pinky will be fine. He was able to hold his own a bit better when we were dealing with the Buggy Pirates and the Black Cat Pirates."

"Circumstances were different for him then and you know that!"

"Plus Luffy's out there to protect him."

"Yeah but who's gonna protect him from potentially becoming part of the collateral damage that'll come with Luffy fighting this guy!"

Usopp then interjected by saying, "I figured I'd just mention this in case you hadn't heard any of the previous conversations we had about it-but today is Isaac's birthday. I don't think you'd want him to die on his birthday now, would you?"

Before Zoro could respond the 3 of them heard Isaac shout-"DUDE I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT GETTING CUTE MEANS BUT I DON'T WANNA DIE THE SAME DAY I WAS GIVEN LIFE! LUFFY BE MORE CAREFUL OTHERWISE YOU'LL TAKE ME AND A GOOD AMOUNT OF THE SHIP DOWN ALONG WITH THIS GUY-HOLY SHIT-!!!"

Nami and Usopp stared at him intently before he shouted, "Alright I'll at least go get Pinky and bring him back in the kitchen but I'm not doing it because you two are guilt-tripping me to, I'm gonna do it so that Luffy won't have to worry about him!" 

"ISAAC DON'T YOU HAVE YOUR OWN WEAPON NOW!?" Luffy shouts. "YEAH, I DO BUT I DIDN'T BRING THAT SHIT OUTSIDE WITH ME THIS MORNING BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK I'D NEED IT JUST CHILLING ON DECK IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! NOW I REALIZE I SHOULD'VE DEFINITELY NOT LET MY GUARD DOWN SO EASILY!" Isaac shouts back. 

The man stops for a second, "Over the years I've lost count of the pirate heads we've taken. And now you guys think...YOU CAN KILL MY PARTNER!?" He shouts with rage before swinging his sword at the unarmed pirate. 

As Zoro stood up he stopped for a second, "Wait, that voice..."

"What do you mean by partner!?" Luffy shouts. "Look I don't know what this is, just stop wrecking our ship and attacking Izzie on his birthday!" Luffy grabbed the man with the sword by his face and threw the man behind him. The man screamed before saying, "Lost by a hair..." Isaac was breathing heavily for a second as he recovered from what little he remembered of his life flashing before his eyes and then proceeded to make his way toward Luffy, "Who is this guy?" Luffy asked. While clutching his chest and huffing Isaac said, "Y-Yeah...And why was he attacking me the most!? You're literally the captain and I was the one trying to see if we could resolve this peacefully for the sake of our ship's condition! What kind of messed up karma is this!?" 

As the man laid on the surface of the deck defeated by Luffy, he groaned before hearing a voice say: "Johnny. Tell me that isn't you." He lifted his head up slightly, "Huh!? Who's sayin' my name like they think they know me or somethin'!?" He then saw Zoro and gasped, sitting up and shouting, "Big Bro Zoro!" "Johnny! It is you." "What are you doin' here, big bro?" "Where's Yosaku? Isn't he with you?" Isaac leaned in towards Luffy's ear whispering, "Am I the only one confused here on why this guy who came aboard our ship craving vengeance is calling Zoro 'Big Bro'?"

"What's going on? You guys know each other or something?" 

'Well this is the weirdest birthday surprise I've ever experienced...'
