CANDACE smiled brightly as she walked past numerous fans into the Mercedes--Benz Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. She sent a small smile to crew members who lingered in the long hall way greeting the blonde woman.

Her nerves seemed to have vanished as she recalled where she was and what was to commence that night. It was Wrestlemania 34. A lot had happened within the last two years.

Colby was off, at least until his rehabilitation period was over. To which, Candace had not left his side during her days off. Joe had now been feuding with Hunter, where as Jon was now with Chris. Where as Candace had been going up against the WWE's new Golden Girl, Charolette Flair.

The feud began when Charlotte had turned heel and hit Candace with her own title belt after a win at Survivor Series against Nikki Bella. Another long time feud she had been apart of, alongside her good friend AJ Lee and her sister Kaitlyn before both women left the company.

She then lost her title thanks to the blonde's father getting himself involved in the two's match unbeknownst to Candace resulting in her losing the title to her former friend.

But that didn't matter anymore, not tonight.

She knew her older sister, and mother were going to the show tonight. Where as she knew April was back at home with Phil watching from their television. She knew how the two felt about the company after everything that had occurred with Phil and the company itself. Though, the two had been asked by numerous companies to join their brand, though they turned it all down.

Where as Candace's contract was coming to an end, and everyone had been speculating if the blonde would be resigning or if she'd join her friends back in Ring Of Honour, to which she had stayed silent on the matter, seeing as how her boyfriend would be returning to the company. Even if they had been a tad distant as of lately.

Her sneakers hit the ground as she came to a halt outside of the women's locker room, instantly being greeted by a beaming Sasha Banks, aka Mercedes Varnado.

The colourful haired woman engulfed the blonde in a hug.

"Hey! I was waiting for you." She smiled pulling away, taking a seat on the wooden bench where her bags sat.

"Sorry, traffic wasn't the greatest. Not to mention people are already waiting outside." Candace explained plopping herself across her.

"Well it is Wrestlemania." She shrugged simply.

Candace nodded going through her duffle bag sorting her ring gear for later.

"So, you ready for later?" Mercedes asked with a raised brow.

"If you mean am I ready to take my belt back? Then yes." She smirked.

"Mhm, well I plan on getting it back after and so does Becky, so don't get too full of yourself there." She remarked with an amused smirk.

Candace shrugged, "Yeah but either way it's going to be a damn good match."

"Ain't that the truth." She nodded, "I saw Ashley with her dad out there. So, we don't only have to watch each other but also him."

Candace let out a breath, "I don't get why he needs to be out there."

"She's second generation, what do you expect?" She sarcastically asked fixing her red lipstick. "They give her title matches just for breathing, and no one complains."

"Let a girl dream, will ya?" Candace joked pulling out her boots, which glistened in the locker room's lighting. "Like em?"

"Nice man, Chucks?"

"Obviously." Candace chuckled lightly.

Mercedes smiled at her friend, her smile slightly fell as she recalled a figure she had seen earlier.

"I saw Colby out there." She spoke up. Candace halted her movements starring down at the hair curler that was now in her hand. "Candee?" She called out.

"Yeah, he's going to watch from above the stands. He really wanted to come and support the show. We went to Takeover last night, so he's a little tired."

"Is everything okay? You know between ya'll?" She inquired knowing how rocky they'd been as of recent.

Candace cleared her throat and nodded slowly. "Yeah, just a lot of shows. But, hopefully the trip to Bristol will help relieve him a bit."

Mercedes frowned and walked over to her good friend, "You gonna see the guys?" She asked earning an eager nod from the blonde, "That's good."

Candace's lips twitched upwards as she glanced to the woman next to her, "Yeah. Anyways, we should get out there."

"May the best woman win."

COLBY wandered the halls of the Mercedes—Benz stadium, his nose buried into his phone. He adjusted his blazer and came to a halt seeing a familiar leather jacket down the hallway, a blonde next to him, followed by a man in his signature cargo pants and combat boots. Licking his lips he watched as she threw her head back laughing at what the fringed man uttered.

The trio came to a halt seeing the two toned man across from them.

Candace's eyes softened as she excused herself from the boys and skipped towards the dark haired man. "Hey." She smiled standing on her toes and pressing her lips to his bearded cheek. "You should be up in the box." She said with a frown. "You're not supposed to put pressure on that leg." Colby nodded shoving his phone into his pocket despite the constant buzzing that came from it. "Whose that?"

Colby reached down and kissed the blonde, "Just my mom wishing you good luck." He smiled down at her ignoring the twinge of guilt in his chest. "I love you." He murmured against her lips.

"I love you too." She smiled kissing his nose, "Now, get up there, before you ruin your knee more than it is. I want you to be able to walk again, and do . . . other things." Colby chuckled as she kissed him once more before pulling away from him, "We can do whatever next week in Bristol." She said as he held onto her small hand. He stifled an eye roll, "Don't do that. You used to like it down there."

"Yeah, but everyone's gonna be stealing you away from me." He pouted, "I'm injured, remember. I need attention."

Candace giggled, "I promise I'll make enough time for you. It'll be fun to see everyone again."

Colby nodded, "Yeah, you're right. Good luck." He said pressing his lips to her's once more before she scurried down the hallway to the women's locker room again.

The architect looked down pulling out his phone reading the text, 'See you next week.' It read, he sighed before making his way in the opposite direction towards the sky box.

"Pyro, in three, two, one . . ."

CANDACE stood in gorilla watching as Sasha made her way down the ramp into the ring where Becky stood in, just as energized as she herself felt.

Bouncing on her heels she thought back to moments ago where she had briefly was met with her sister and mother who both wished her good luck. She inhaled and exhaled ignoring the messy thoughts in her mind, she had no reason to be worried as she was about to be on the biggest wrestling stage of them all.

Shaking her head she was brought out of her thoughts as she was signalled to be on next.

Hearing her theme she skipped on stage raising her arms above her head as she normally did, just as pyro lit up above her. Sparks of pink and purple fireworks flew into the air as she smiled brightly to the crowd.

Pointing to the crowd she continued down the ramp. Her eyes now narrowed on the ring before her, her eyes being met with the red belt in Lita's hands.

Making her way to the steel steps she entered the ring through the second ropes towards the turnbuckle, climbing up she smiled and pointed once more to the crowd.

Nodding to the crowd of where she came from, "IT'S TIME!" She shouted pointing to herself then to the large belt across from her. Looking to the front row she blew a kiss to her sister and mother who smiled back clapping to the blonde.

Hopping down she nodded to her two friends in the ring just as Charlotte's music rang through the stadium followed by a chorus of boo's.

The three women watched as the blonde made her way into the ring holding up the Divas Championship belt proudly. The belt that would be retired after the match and would be replaced with a new belt. The womens championship.

"The following contest is a fatal four way match, and it is for the WWE Women's Championship." Lilian announced as cheers echoed the arena.

"Introducing the challengers, first from Dublin Ireland, Becky Lynch!"

The fiery red head raised her arms proudly to the crowd before making her way to the corner of the ring across from Candace.

"And from Boston Massachusetts, Sasha Banks!"

With a smirk Mercedes nodded to the crowd swaying her hips to the side, placing her hands in front of her waist, mirroring a belt motion.

"And from Houston Texas, Candace Maye!"

Raising her hand to the crowd she waved.

"From The Queens City, she is the Divas Champion, Charlotte Flair!"

Standing proudly, she raised the title over her head.

The four watched hungrily as the new title was raised above them by the referee.

No matter who won, there was going to be a new champion by the end of the night. And all women were eminent on being the new Women's Champion.

SO as you know this is a Kenny fic now. i decided to keep a few things the same as it was in my Seth fic. So the dates will be a bit confusing. i decided to make the women's match at Mania 32 for Mania 34 since there was that Godawful match with Nia and Alexa, i saw no reason why i couldn't change it and switch the matches and dates up since this is FANFICTION

so in a few chapters it'll line up with the current time frame 2k19. so when she goes to Bristol aka ROH she'll be with the guys, BTE. (those lil trolling videos and bts for the guys is currently going on, but i will be rearranging some of the time stamps, for example THE DM will be taking place now rather than in 2k16)
