Arnav and Khushi lay naked on their bed after passionate lovemaking.

Khushi laid her head on Arnav's cheat as he stroked her hair.

"One down three to go. " Arnav said out of the blue making Khushi look up at him.

"I can believe Sudhadra Malik is that stupid as to believe people who mistrust her will leave their jewelry lying around freely. " Khushi conveyed with a hint of surprise in her voice.

"Baby greed makes people blind...... She and her wretched son were no longer living lavishly and she wanted to continue her lavish lifestyle and this is what has gotten her....... I know she was shocked seeing more jewelry in her bags than she stole and she knows it was me who did it....... Khushi sighed as she drew a circle on his chest.

A scream broke them up and they jerked staring at each other.

They immediately stood up and dressed, rushed to the door, and opened it nearly bumping into Aman and Preeto.

"What's going on? " Arnav questioned with concern and Aman and Preeto staggered.

"Hello hi bye bye.... What was that scream? " Mami joined looking annoyed as she rubbed her eyes.

Sooner had she finished did the others except Payal and Akash.

Loud wails erupted from Akash's room and they all rushed in to find Payal crying and shaking Akash who looked extremely pale.

Aman immediately rushed downstairs to start his car as Arnav jumped onto the bed, lifting Akash bridal style and rushing him out.

Tears streamed down Arnav's cheeks uncontrollably as he felt Akash cold body on his.

He and Aman drove out leaving the family behind.

The journey to the hospital was not easy as Arnav tried to resuscitate Akash but failed miserably as he wasn't responding.

Half an hour later, the rest of the family reached the hospital to find Arnav and Aman pacing back and forth outside the operating room.

"Where is my son? " Mami cried out and Aman pointed to the operation room.

"They just started operating on him and we don't know what is wrong with at the moment. " Aman responded.

Mami who was crying and being consoled by Nani stared shaking with rage as she glared at Payal who was crying in Shashi's arms.

She stood up and matched up to Payal who was taken aback seeing her angry.

Mami harshly grabbed her arms and started shaking her.

"You did something to my son...... I won't spare you...... You and your witch sister had ruined this family but won't allow it anymore. "

"I swear Mami..... I did anything. " Payal cried which annoyed Mami.

She raised her hand to slap Payal but Khushi rushed towards her, held her hand, and pushed Mami away.

Mami held up her head to find the whole family except Anjali and Shyam shielding Payal who was crying profusely in Shashi's arms chanting she didn't do anything.

Shyam moved towards Mami and helped her up.

"Come to your senses, Manu. " Manohar yelled at Mami who stared at him in shock. "Do you know the nonsense you are spewing?....... Payal loves Akash and will never do anything to hurt him unlike you who had scarred him emotionally and psychologically...... Sit quietly or leave. "

Mami shrank at his yelling and she burst out crying as Shyam moved her away from the family.

Manohar turned and apologized to Payal who unfortunately was too devastated to respond but instead cried more into Shashi's chest.

Four hours later, the family was graced with the presence of the police which confused the family.

Arnav was about to inquire about their presence when the operation door opened and out came the doctor and two nurses behind her.

The family rushed up to her together with the police.

"Doctor, how is Akash? " Manohar asked frantically as the others stared at her impatiently.

"Luckily we were able to save him on time but what we found in his system makes this a police case that's why I call the police here. "

Everyone was shocked hearing this and the doctor continued sending shock waves into the family.

"We found organic arsenic in the tests we took...... Someone tried to poison or kill Mr Raizada. "

"That's impossible........ Akash has no enemies who will want him dead...... He is very introverted and has few friends. " Arnav exclaimed in disbelief.

"I didn't hurt Akash and I will never hurt Akash....... Those apples were given to me by Mami. " Payal explained in tears as everyone turned to Mami who looked shocked. "Mami gave me those apples as a peace offering and I took it not wanting to offend her...... I was going to keep them in the fridge and eat them later when Akash came to the kitchen stole and ran off to his room with them...... It was all play...... He came out after finishing the apple and teased me saying he took my apples and I better get ready because from now on until we die of old age, he will be stealing my food........ I didn't know it was poisoned....... I swear I didn't know. " Payal wailed as she fell on her knees.

Manohar had slapped Mami who stood in shock holding her abused cheek as she stared at her husband.

And now my poor boy nearly died because of your greed and classism. " Manohar fell to his knees in tears causing everyone to tear up.

Nani moved towards her son and hugged him as he cried in his arms.

"I can't believe Maa and you are siblings. " Nk uttered in total disbelief and disappointment. "She went to school and struggled for a better future....... Most mothers will never allow their children to be photographers let alone wildlife photography but my mother, and your sister supported me........ I was rebellious as a teen and yet she never gave up on me until I got my life together...... She always supported me and put my happiness first but you....... You don't even care about the son who did everything to please you....... Akash didn't care about losing himself in the process of pleasing because he wanted you to love him as you did with Anjali but not once did you love or care about him........ And when he finally has a woman who loves and cares about him, you want to snatch her away from him....... You are a monster Mami..... And I wish no one had you as a mother........ Please take this monster away from us. "

Nk burst out crying and Arnav went to him and hugged him as a crying Mami was dragged out of there.

Arnav knew Akash was Nk's favorite among them because he was easygoing and they bonded more than he did with him.

If anything had thought Mami would go this far to get rid of Payal, they wouldn't have believed it.

Everyone believed Mami did it but a part of Arnav refused to completely believe Mami poisoned Payal which rather ended up hurting Akash.

"I need to get to the bottom of this. " Arnav thought as he hugged and consoled a crying Nk.

The Next Day.

Aman and Preeto brought the family clothes and food including Nani's medicine.

Even though Akash was still unconscious, they were happy hearing the arsenic didn't cause as much damage as they thought it would.

With medication and rest, Akash will recover completely in a few months.

Payal who was riddled with guilt didn't leave Akash's side for a minute.

Manohar made Arnav contact Mr. Roy to not only start the proceedings for his divorce but also help Mami behind bars forever.

Everyone agreed to this except Anjali who did want that but no one paid attention to her and she angrily left the hospital with Shyam.

Back at RM, Shyam who had had enough decided to leave Anjali.

He decided to sell the house and leave without Anjali knowing.

He knew now he didn't have anything worth being married to Anjali and started his plans to leave her for good.

He took the property deeds which were in his name something which shocked him when Aman gave him the complete papers of the house.

He sneaked out of the house when Anjali left for the bathroom.

Anjali came out to find the bedroom empty and Shyam's car keys gone and she angrily threw the towel on the bed.

"That bastard has gone to be with one of his mistresses....... Enjoy all you can Shyam because soon I will have you killed......... I will cause your death in such a way that it will look like an accident and me your poor widow will miscarry because of the shock and I will live forever in RM....... It may take years but at least I will keep my status and use my widow card to gain sympathy and get my family back even if I have to tolerate Khushi and Payal....... My life will still be good whilst you will be turned to ashes. " Anjali laughed maniacally as she swirled around her bedroom.

Back at the hospital, Akash woke up to the entire family's smiling face and shimmering eyes.

He smiled seeing Payal holding his hand and the doctors entered to check on him.

"Welcome back Mr Raizada. " The doctor exclaimed smiling and he nodded.

"What happened? " Akash asked and saw the family contemplating.

"Maa is not here so it means my plan worked...... Good, now she will pay for what she did to Bhai, Khushi Bhabhi, and us. " Akash thought staring at his family.

Manohar sighed and revealed everything to Akash who pretended to be shocked and hurt.

"Papa, I know you love maa but I can't forgive her for this...... She will rot in jail for this. "

Manohar shook his head and moved closer to his son.

Payal stood up giving her east to him and he sat down and held Akash's hand.

"The love I have for your mother died years ago. " Everyone looked shocked especially since he sounded sincere. "I was only with her because of you...... I saw how desperate you were to have her love and I kept the stupid hope that someday she would love you as you deserve and seeing you happy for getting her love will be my happiness and joy...... It was a stupid mistake and I should have divorced her a long time ago...... I failed you Akash but no more....... Manorama will rot in jail forever I promise you. "

Akash nodded and Manohar hugged him as they both smiled.

Arnav turned to Khushi and whispered for her to come out with her.

"Arnav I believe Mami is innocent. " Khushi said as they walked in the garden of the hospital.

"Me too...... But who did this? " Arnav pondered.

"Maybe it was Anjali and Shyam. " Khushi responded but Arnav shook his head.

"I don't think so...... They will have nothing to gain getting rid of Mami or Payal....... Especially Mami being their only support....... There is a snake among us and we have to be careful. "

Khushi nodded staring at Arnav who was deep in thought.

Back in Akash's room, Payal apologized for what happened and Akash reprimanded her for it as she laid her head on his chest and stroked her hair.
