They flew to Hong Kong for the next destination. It was finally the Mnet Asian Music Awards show .

Yeona was finishing up with her makeup on Kimberly while Mona waited by the door. The other members were doing last minute reviews and preparations too since their turn were approaching fast.

Once Borahae's name was announced as the first performance everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone. The bright stage lights were dimmed and bathed in a hazy cerulean glow.

When the first few notes of the soft piano music played, two dancers dressed in white ran a long billowy white fabric across the stage. After a quick run across the stage, the audience uttered more ooh's and aah's as Kimberly seemingly appeared out of nowhere. She was a vision clad in pure white clothes and a loose similar-colored flimsy fabric draped over her right shoulder. Kimberly had a softer look on her face. Even her hair looked different. In the ambient lighting, she looked angelic with her ashy blond hair that further accentuated her sweet look.

There was a distant and lonely atmosphere in her performance. The slow saunter to the center of the stage was a prelude to a series of flying the loose fabric between her self-composed contemporary dances. There was some spinning, kicking, jumping, and a sequence of roundhouse kicks. It was as if the stage was ice and Kimberly was the delicate skater gliding on its slippery surface. 

The hauntingly soft vocals accentuated her every move. Her routine was unlike anything people had seen, and the series of aerial stunts had the viewers both scared and amazed. No one was immune to the delicate charm. At the last notes of the piano music faded, her dance ended with a toss of the fabric that dramatically drifted off-stage, never to be seen again.

It was an ethereal performance that left the audience speechless for about ten seconds, followed by deafening applause. Kimberly took a moment to survey the audience.

They then proceeded to their next song Episode solo .

The four girl came out a four points at the stage from under the stage . like a square the Stadium was dark all lights were shut off the only thing that could be seen was the four girls on the stage . Allison held a violin and started to play it , Mona had a flute and start to blow it , Talesha started to dance and Kimberly started to sing and then light around the girls came on matching their outfits and each girl started to walk and each light on the stage turned as they passed it . When the girls reached the center they put down their instrument and raised their hand in front of them and sang and a golden light could be seen in the center

[Kimberly/Talesha] When the outro ends

The two girl stepped forward

The others followed

Are you ready? Take a deep breath

[Mona]Your fingers tremble a bit

Mona shaked her fingers

They both held hands

They all stood together

All the girls bowed to the fans and thanked them for coming and reminded them to come tomorrow for another performance . All the fans shout the fan chant

As soon as Borahae were done with their performance, they were directed to sit with the other idols. "The Best Music Video of the Year goes to..."

The MC paused for dramatic effect and Kimberly and the girls wrung their fingers in anticipation.

"Borahae Episode solo !"

Kimberly was the first to stand up hastily, looking just as shocked as she had while the other members looked at each other in disbelief. There were cheers from the audience, loud applauses, and the members smiling bright as the announcer spoke again from the speakers.

"2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards .Best Music Video of the Year goes to Borahae!"

the members hesitantly walked on stage.

The announcer congratulated them for their success, listing how well their album 'The Search' had done great the charts for a new group.'Episode solo '.continued to blast from the speakers as the members made their way on stage .

The Four of them bowed respectfully to the MCs as they stepped back to allow them on the microphones set up. Kimberly held the award tightly and as the leader of the group, she knew she had to be the one to deliver the speech.

" thank you bora's for this award " Kimberly stated bowing with the rest of the girls

They then proceeded to win awards in Best OST -with Kill me Heal me ,Best collaboration Stay with me and Global Fan Favorite-Borahae

Kimberly had to be the one to make the speech. She was the leader, their guide, and probably the only one that can still think but Jimin doubted she can see with those tears trailing from her eyes. They stood in a row in front, the cheers haven't once died down, and everyone could see their teary faces. Kimberly held the award tightly and attempted to speak into the microphone but she ended up being choked up again. A small smile appeared on Jimin's lips as he saw that; they're trying so hard not to cry...and failing.

"Bora's," the first word to leave her lips was obviously for their fans, "Thank you so much. Seriously...we went through a lot since we debuted and there were people who said that we wouldn't make it. Thank you so much for believing us until the end. This is something we only dreamt about, so thank you for making our dream a reality."

The camera panned over to the others crying.Allison despite being slightly hidden from Mona , cannot control her sobs.Kimberly was trying to stay strong but her shiny eyes and tears were a different story. Talesha looked the calmest yet none could hide the tears from the corner of her eyes.

"I would like to thank Park Jinjoo PD-nim, the executives, Starlight Entertainment who led us on. And people who make good music with us, Chanyeol, jinjoo .And our Manager Kerry and the staff. Thank you to all the staff who have been with us. Thank you so much for making our dream a reality."

Kimberly reiterated again and the camera continued to pan over the girls who had been crying.

"And...Bora's all over the world," Kimberly spoke in English, surprising Miran at how articulate he was even with his shock, "Let's continue the search to find the meaning of life in 2017 as well. Borahae loves Bora's as always. Thank you very much!"

The camera revealed all four of them again.they all left the stage Borahae being the first new group made to get these awards within some months of debut .other idols congratulated the girls .

As the awards neared the end, the members were motioned back to their changing room. The walk felt uncomfortably long and tiresome, their eyes still wet with some leftover tears as they smiled at the multiple backstage cameras. Even though they appreciated all the applause and congratulations from various people, they wanted to go back to their crew and show off. They were the ones that had been with them every step of the way; they were the ones that helped BTS reach where they were now.

And, a little voice whispered in them, they hoped she would be waiting, too.

They rounded the corner, just one more hallway before they reach their changing room, and paused at the sight of a familiar black figure. She was pacing hesitantly back and forth, as if she was unsure whether to go further away from their backstage room or return. At the sight of Kimberly acting nervous and bashful was an amusing sight, one that made the members grin and laugh, their steps quickening to her.

She heard shuffling behind her and froze; was she caught? Did they notice her? The tears had stopped long ago but the aftermath had left her eyes red and puffy. Kimberly gathered her courage and turned around, expecting to greet them with bright smiles and congratulations but—she didn't have time for any of that.

Strong arms wrapped around her thin body, nearly toppling her over from the weight of the boys and loud cheering echoed the hall. Kimberly gasped, hand reaching over to steady the maknaes that tackled her, and was stunned by the sudden affection of them all.

"Kimminie !"

"We won!"

"I knew you'd be our good luck charm!"

"Do we get a prize?"

"Praise us!"

She blush a deep red, wondering again how they revert back to such childish selves so fast, before laughing softly along. Her hands reached up to return the hug and leaned into their warm bodies, feeling the comfort they provided without knowing the reason why.

"I'm so proud of you," her voice was muffled in Taehyung's shoulder, her arms wrapped around Jungkook and Hoseok.

She knew the other members must have surrounded her somehow with bodies pressed against her back yet she didn't mind. It felt so natural to have them hug her like this. It just felt—right—a perfect fit—and Kimberly couldn't understand why. All she wanted was to drown herself in this warmth, and simply enjoy the presence of them.

They hummed in agreement, voice softening to match Kimberly's tone as they stilled. They don't feel as anxious to return backstage anymore and instead, felt themselves relaxing. It still does not calm the rapid beat of their heart as they lost themselves in Kimberly 's comfort, forgetting everything about them.

Forgetting about their public display of affection in the backstage arena.
