CAROLINE TRULY BELIEVED that Jade couldn't be more insane but he managed to outdo himself. Caroline was currently holding RJ as almost everyone was gathered in the Diner. He was on a table with a blow dryer, it was working. Surprisingly it was actually working considering it wasn't from the town

"Now, listen. The trick to making this all work is conducting wire. Right? Just like the wire we're gonna run from the radio up to the roof of Colony House, we need enough wire to run from the lamps inside Colony House out to the radio itself. Tea Cup, tell them where we get it" Jade said. Caroline couldn't help but snicker at Jim's nickname

"Well, basically anything with a cord that came into town in the back of someone's car- appliances, electronics, even the wiring harnesses in the cars themselves. Um, you know, that ambulance outside the clinic? Probably a gold mine. Well, there's plenty of stuff in storage here, so my kids and I, we're gonna start in there, and anyone who wants to join us is welcome to. And the rest of you, scour whatever you can. If we can get enough wire stripped and spliced, we can be sending out a transmission before nightfall" Jim said. Caroline turned to Kenny excitedly

"All right, you heard the man. Spread the word and let's get back to work. Let's go, people. Chop, chop" Jade said. People began leaving the Diner

"You think this is really gonna work?" Kenny asked

"I fucking hope so.." Caroline replied as she adjusted her hold on RJ

"Imagine how we'd explain where we were. They throw us all in asylums" Kenny laughed

"I'm actually sort of dreading leaving.. I mean, what do I tell my husband. 'Hey, I've been MIA for like 6 months because I got trapped in this town I couldn't leave. Oh, by the way this town has these smiling freaks of nature that rip you to shreds and the only way we don't die is through these magical little rocks we hang on the wall.' I think he'd ask for a divorce" Caroline laughed

"When you say it like that.. I'm afraid you're right" Kenny laughed as well. He then looked around. "Did you see Donna?"

"No. I didn't see her" Caroline said

"Wanna make a bet?" Kenny asked with a grin

"What are we betting?" Caroline asked

"Let's bet where Donna is right now. Winner gets that candy bar I have stacked in my wall behind the painting" Kenny said

"You're on. I bet she's at the sheriff's station" Caroline said

"I'm pretty sure she's at the clinic checking up on the Colony House members" Kenny said

"Guess we'll just have to find out" Caroline replied. So the duo left and went to the Sheriff's Station first since it was closer and wouldn't you know? Donna was there. "Pleasure doing business"

"Fuck.." Kenny mumbled as they both walked in to see Donna staring at the map. "You missed Jade's big speech"

"Yeah, probably for the best. I thought you'd be up at the house by now" Donna said

"Well, I had a bit of a side quest to do, but I'll be helping Kristi gather whatever wire she can from the ambulance" Kenny said

"I'll just.. do whatever I feel like.. everyone's so busy on the project I've got no one to watch RJ.. I wonder where Victor and Annie are.." Caroline said but Donna wasn't really listening

"All those different places, different roads, yet everybody ended up here. You really think sending out some radio signal's gonna make a difference?" Donna asked

"I'd like to think so, but even if it did.. how can they come rescue us and not get trapped.. or how would they even find us since it seems to be random who sees the tree" Caroline said

"Yeah. Well, best get at, I guess" Donna said before leaving the Sheriff's Station

CAROLINE WAS SITTING on the steps in Colony House playing with RJ while everyone else was working. She wanted to help, but babies are notorious for trying to kill themselves, so she wasn't sure how safe she felt leaving RJ on the ground knowing he could crawl especially with the wires everywhere, and people running around

"All right, ding-dongs, it's almost go time. Anybody fucks this up, you spend a night in the box" Jade threatened

"No one is going in the box" Donna said

"Whatever. Hey, pass these out, would you?" Jade asked Donna who gave him a 'bitch are you serious?' look. "Okay. Anybody wants it, help yourselves"

Jade then put down the food and ran over to the bell and rang it excitedly as he laughed

"Hey!" Donna yelled. Caroline was giggling at Jade's antics. Sometimes he was beyond fucking annoying but other times he was hilarious as fuck

"Cucumbers are ready!" Jade yelled

"Stop! You! Stop" Donna scolded but Jade ran up the steps almost tripping over Caroline

"My bad" Jade said as he kept going

"Fucking dumbass" Caroline said. She then got up and went outside since it was almost time for it to go on. She had RJ in her arms. Sometimes she felt like a kangaroo, constantly holding her kid. A couple minutes later anyone who wasn't doing the light bulbs was standing outside

"All right, guys, you ready up there?" Jim asked

"Yep. Uh, just hold on a second!" Jade yelled

"I wanna see this. Wait!" Tabitha said as she ran over and hugged her husband

"All right, we're good!" Jade yelled from the roof

"Lift off!" Ethan yelled as he was put on Jim's shoulders. Caroline watched as the tower was pushed to stand up straight

"That's it, that's it!" Jim yelled

"We're secure!" Jade yelled causing everyone to cheer. Caroline couldn't believe it. They might actually go home, but the question is.. did it work?

"Okay! On three. One, two.. three!" Jim yelled. The people inside began turning on all the lamps. Caroline was standing there watching as Jim did his thing. She could hear the static. "We got power! We got signal!"

"Yes! Ah! Come on!" Jade cheered from the roof. Caroline looked at Kenny excitedly. Things might actually be in their favor. "Hey, listen! If you guys are all done stroking each other down there, you might wanna start transmitting sometime today!"

"Hell yeah!" Caroline cheered

"Fuck yeah!" Kenny yelled earning a smack from Tian-Chen. She then lectured him in Chinese. Next there was a cold breeze and it got really cloudy. Jim began broadcasting as the weather was taking a turn for the worse. Those clouds were almost black they were so dark. It'd be one nasty storm. The wind was getting stronger as Jim kept trying to reach someone

"That storm's coming in pretty quick. You need to pack it in, start again tomorrow" Donna said. Caroline agreed. She began walking up the steps

"Why don't we just give it a few more minutes?" Jim asked

"You have got about ten more minutes before the wind blows that goddamn tower off the roof. You need to get your boy inside" Donna said as Caroline walked inside. RJ began crying and she was trying to calm him down. Julie began freaking out as Donna came back in soaking wet

"Donna, what happened?" Julie asked as RJ kept crying. Then, the light bulbs shattered causing people to scream. Caroline squatted down as she held RJ to her chest protectively. Everything was going to shit and Caroline should've expected this
