Y/C calmly strolled into the library. They had just finished having breakfast and their conversation with Jane. It turns out that she, during the Victorian times, was a detective. Despite the patriarchal society, she still managed to make a bit of money and buisness. She was self employed and a private detective. Most of her customers were working class women and lower that had something stolen from them; or they needed help finding something, but, they were still people that needed help. She wasn't paid that much either; but, that never seemed to bother her. It seemed as if Justice was enough to satisfy her.

The doors to the Library where almost a semi-oval shape, both doors being of a dark oak and immaculately decorated with small and fine patterns. Y/C's hands gently wrapped around the crystal styled doorknobs, twisting them softly- as if scared they'd break. A satisfying click could be heard, before Y/C pushed the doors open at the same time; they did so softly, so that when the doors swung open they didn't slam into anything.

The library was large; the shelves were towering over Y/C, all cramped with old, thick and elegantly designed books; that all seemed to be in perfect condition, as well as clean.
In the middle of the room, that hung higher than the isle of books reached, was a beautiful chandelier; it was electric so wax didn't drip down and make a mess nor hurt anyone and the frame was silver, decorated with seven different coloured gems. The first and smallest ring had one colour; purple, circlular crystals. The next ring was slightly larger and was decorated with a pattern of golden and rose crystals of the same size and shape. The next ring had green, orange, red and grey crystals.
The carpet was full of earthly colours, such as light yet pale beige, a dark red and greys with the hint of the occasional green. The red was the background colour, and the black outlined the majestic patterns that the beige lines made, and circled the dots of greys and greens. It was designed in a similar manner as to a mandala.
Opposite and in line with the doors was the biggest window. All the windows were the same design, and all had the same frame. However, this one in particular outlooked the backgarden (and gave the best view compared to the others); and was staggeringly tall and a circletop shape. It's inner windowsill was also designed as a seat, but it was long enough for Y/C to semi-lay on. On the dark, oak brown wood was a couple of pale coloured, square cushions.
The walls were a pale, dark lilac mixed with the hint of blue, creating an almost greyish colour; and had smaller lamps hung from them, in the style of bell shaped wall sconces; that came in pairs- and emitted the same soft, yellow glow as the chandelier.
The room also smelt of a soft vanilla, with the small hint of paper and lilac.
Overall, the library seemed cosy, which was just how they remembered it.

Upon entry, they heard the doors close behind them, which was natural for them to do so. However, upon the small bang that was emitted from the doors, that echoed throughout the room, snoring could be heard. Y/C's head turned to that direction, their head peeping around one of the oak coloured bookshelves. There, at a desk, sat a sleeping Brian.

The blonde had his face laid on the table, with an exhausted expression. He seemingly fell asleep whilst reading, due to the book on his desk, that laid flat, open. His clothes looked scruffy, yet not dirty; he wasn't as neat as the other Sins.
Well, he was Sloth after all. Lazy and careless.

Hesitantly, Y/C waltzed up to the sleeping male, daintily tapping his shoulder. β€œHey, uh, Brian?” They asked softly, with a small head tilt, as the man slowly looked up with half opened, tired eyes. They were a dark grey, that slowly faded into a dark brown colour.

β€œYeah?” He asked, with a groggy and hoarse voice, raising an eyebrow as he lifted a hand, gently rubbing his eyes with the back of his wrist. β€œWhat's up?” Brian added, before a yawn escaped his lips.

β€œI was wondering if you could tell me about your time in the 1800s.” Y/C stated, β€œPlease?” They added, with a small smile.

The man stretched, with a small grumble as his back clicked. β€œThere isn't much to tell; I stuck with the tree for the most of it, before Tim took me under his roof, feeding me, making sure I was okay-” Brian was cut off by another silent yawn, as he slowly blinked, resting his face against a hand.

Y/C raised an eyebrow, β€œWell- what did Tim do?” They asked, playing with their hands.

β€œHe ran a business or something like that, I didn't really pay attention, all I ever did, really was wait for him to snuggle with me, once he got home.” He replied.

Y/C's eyes widened, β€œYou two are-” They began, shocked that the two Sins were seemingly in a romatic relationship with one another.

β€œOh yeah, hella gay.” Brian interupted, nodding- probably the most lively they'd seen him. β€œVery much so.”

β€œI was going to say 'a couple'.” Y/C told him, before smiling softly, β€œThat's really sweet, though.”

β€œI agree. It is nice having Tim as a partner. He's very caring even if he might be selfish.” Brian replied, nonchalantly, β€œHell, isn't everyone selfish, though?”

That question made Y/C think. Now they thought about it, everyone has their moments. Even the most selfless people on Earth are selfish, sometimes. It's just human nature. They nodded slightly, β€œThat's true.” They hummed, β€œWell, thank you for that, Brian, it means a lot.” They stated. β€œI'll let you get back to your rest.”

Brian nodded slightly, β€œUh, yeah, no problem, Kid.” He mumbled, before closing his eyes again. β€œThanks.”
