12:43 PM

I walk into the Hype House, everyone around greeting me. "Hey, Liz, you here for Vinnie?" Michael asks.

"Uh, no actually. Is he here?"

Michael gives me a surprised look, but shakes his head. I nod my head at him, going to find Jack.

It had been a week since Vinnie took me out, and we spent basically the whole week together. I've been avoiding having the conversation that I know we should have, not because I'm unsure of my answer, but because I don't know how to say it.

Like how do you tell the love of your life that you forgive him for breaking your heart and you'll be willing to give him a second chance. That might seem easy for most people, but not for me. I'm severely afraid of rejection, and I'm also afraid that the same thing might happen again, so i've been a little hesitant and have been avoiding him for a few days, but I came to talk to someone who might be able to make sense of all of this for me.

"Come in." Jack calls out from the other side of the door.

"Hey, can you talk for a second?" I ask him. He nods his head, motioning for me to walk further into the room.

"I'll go if you want." Jett says, ready to get up. I quickly stop him, telling him he was free to stay.

"No, it's fine. It would actually be good if you were here anyways, i want to talk about Vinnie."

He sits back down, him and Jack's attention fully on me.

"So, you guys know about us, and I've been avoiding him for a while because I wanna tell him I wanna be with him, but I'm scared. You guys are his friends, and mine, and I know you'll be honest with me, so should I really do this if he's just gonna fuck up again and push me away because he's insecure, or am I just being too cautious?"

Jett and Jack are quiet for a second, but i'm caught off guard when Jack lets out a small chuckle, along with Jett.

"What? What's so funny?" I ask, my eyes flickering back and forth between them.

They continue to laugh, irritating me a bit. "Guys, I'm being serious here. Help me." I sigh.

"Okay, okay, sorry it's just too funny." Jack calms down.

"What?"

"Seeing someone with 20/20 vision be so blind." Jett sits back in the chair he was in.

My jaw drops, not believing their words. Here I was trying to get genuine advice, and they were taking me as a joke.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means look in front of you, Liz. The boy really likes you. You're all he talks about some days it's annoying sometimes." Jett laughs at the end.

"I even have a video from back when we were in New York, because I had a feeling I'd need it one day, and here we are." Jack says, pulling out his phone.

"What are you talking about?" I ask, a confused expression on my face.

"Just look at this." He says, handing me his phone.

There was a video pulled up, and it showed Vinnie with his long hair, so you could tell it was a few months old. I click on the video, the sound of laughing being heard first.

"I swear I asked for fries. Why can't anyone ever get my order right, even in New York?" Jack says checking his food. The group of boys consisting of Jett, Vinnie, and Jack laugh at the blonde's frustration.

"Can I tell you guys something? But you have to promise not to tell anyone." Vinnie speaks up.

"Yeah, what's up." Jett urges him to continue.

"So, you know how me and Lizzy are friends and stuff right?"

"You mean friends with serious sexual tension who need to just date already?" Jack corrects the blonde, making Jett laugh.

Vinnie rolls his eyes, taking a sip from his drink. "Sure. But we did kiss."

Jett's eyes widen, while Jack chokes on a piece of his burger.

"What!"

"Yeah, it was yesterday. I told her how I felt about her, and then I kissed her." Vinnie tells the boys, a small smile on his face.

"Well how was it?" Jett questions.

"It was amazing. Guys, I really like her...." He trails off.

"I sense a 'but' coming" Jack reads Vinnie's expression. Vinnie sighs, playing with the bracelet on his wrist.

"It's just.....I'm scared I'll fuck her up. Like everyone knows I'm not good with girls, and if I don't mess it up, my fans will. The minute they even suspect i like someone they're gonna try and ruin it, and i really don't want that happening to her. she doesn't deserve it."

"Vnnie you gotta stop thinking about them for a second. They shouldn't dictate who you get to be with and what makes you happy." Jett shrugs.

Vinnie groans, sinking further down in his seat.

"Look— you like her right?" Jack states, leaning forward. Vinnie nods his head, pushing the bandana on his head further down.

"Tell me why."

Vinnie gives jack a look, and Jack urges him to talk. He sighs, rolling his eyes slightly, but complies.

"Uh..... i like her style, her sense of humor. I like her smile, her personality—"

"No, not the obvious stuff. tell me WHY you like her." Jack cuts him off.

Vinnie is hesitant at first, but finally says what he truly feels.

"I like how ambitious she is, i like how her nose scrunches when i make her laugh. I like how she's one of the few people that truly get me, like when everybody in the house thinks i'm some moody gamer boy who has anger issues, she knows i'm just under a lot of stress and I miss my family.

"I like how she's not afraid to open up to me, and that makes me wanna open up to her. When she does my hair— I really like that. I like how safe I feel with her. She makes me feel safe."

Once Vinnie realizes he's rambling he stops, looking over at Jett and Jack. Jett has an amused look on his face, and Jack has a satisfied grin on his.

"What?"

"You love her."

"Huh?" Vinnie gives Jack a surprised look, then Jett. After sitting in the words for a second, realization hits him.

"Oh my God, I love her."

The video ends abruptly, making my eyes widen. I look up at the two boys and they had the same satisfied and amused looks they had in the video on Jack's phone.

"What the—"

"Is that answer enough for you?" Jack asks, putting his phone back in his pocket.

I sit back, relishing in the video I just saw. Vinnie said he loved me. He told his friends all the things he liked about me and said he loved me.

"Do you know what you're gonna do?" Jett asks, the corners of his lips quirking up.

"Uh....yeah. Thank you guys for this, really I needed it." I thank the boys before leaving the house.

5:56 PM

"What are we doing, Vinnie?" I ask the blonde as he pulls my hand further down the path we were walking.

He doesn't answer my question, silently walking in front of me. After another two minute walk we come upon a hill with rocks surrounding it.

Vinnie hops up first, turning to face me once he was above me. He gestures for me to grab his hands and I comply, grabbing his hands and carefully stepping up to where he was.

"Ask me again."

I give him a weird look, which he notices, making him reword his sentence. "Ask me what we're doing."

"What are we doing, Vinnie?" I repeat my question from earlier. That's when he motions to our surroundings, a boyish grin on his face.

"We're gonna watch the sunset. I remember you mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I'd take you." He reveals with a smile.

I couldn't believe the boy in front of me, staring speechless in his face. His smile falters at my lack of words and he sighs.

"Is it too much? I thought it might be but you know I'm trying to prove myself and stuff and—"

I cut him off, grabbing the black shirt he had on, pulling him into me and connecting our lips. He's caught by surprise at first, but relaxes into my touch, resting his hands on the side of my face and deepening the kiss.

I pull away, looking up at him with a smile. "It's perfect, Vinnie, everything's perfect." I reassure him, making him smile.

We sit on the soft grass for a while, just talking and enjoying each other's company. We sit in comfortable silence, his head in my lap as he's laid out on the ground, my hands subconsciously roaming through his hair. I take a look down at him and his eyes were closed, his eyelashes resting on his cheeks.

I sigh, deciding to have the conversation I'd been avoiding.

"You proved yourself, you know." I blurt, looking out at the trees in the distance, afraid to make eye contact with the boy in my lap.

"What?"

"I forgive you, I trust you again. So if you like ever wanted to ask me to be with you, I wouldn't say no." I say sheepishly.

"You really mean it?" He asks, an excited smile on his face. I nod my head, finally looking down at him. His eyes were now open, and the smile on his face was unbelievably adorable.

To really convince him, I lean down and kiss his lips, making his smile grow.

"Oh, and I love you too."

He freezes, his eyes widening slightly. I give him a knowing look, and it all clicked in his head as he lets out a sigh, shaking his head.

"I'm gonna kill them." He says, referring to Jack and Jett. I let out a laugh, amused by his slight embarrassment.

"Well either way, it's true." I shrug.

He looks at me for a few seconds, before responding. "Same here. I love you, Elizabeth." He says softly.

I smile, playfully rolling my eyes. "Wow, saying I love you before making it official? Who are we?" I exaggerate, making Vinnie laugh.

"Well we've gotta change that don't we?" He questions, a suggestive look on his face. I raise my eyebrows, giving him the same look back.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Liz?" He finally asks, a soft look on his face. I decide to tease him, pondering for a second.

"Mmm, I don't know, let me sleep on it." I joke, making him groan.

"No, wake up!" He exclaims, reaching over and pinching my side, making me laugh.

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend."

He pulls my head towards him, kissing me passionately, like he was putting all of his love in one kiss.

"Finally!" He laughs, making me roll my eyes, a small smile on my face.

"Hey, what time is it?" I ask, noticing it was getting dark.

Vinnie pulls his phone out, it automatically turning on. When it flashes on, a picture of him and I in New York is shown on the screen. It was us in Times Square, and I was on his back, hands wrapped around his neck, a smile on my face. His smile matched mine as he was holding me up.

The memory makes me smile softly, the tiny action giving me butterflies.

"Its 6:30." He answers, putting his phone back down.

I nod my head, looking back out to the sunset in front of us. I finally got what I wanted and who I wanted. I was finally with the boy who made me happiest.

Thank God for 6:30
