THE BRIDGE FIGHT!! (Also Ik I used a Bucky gif. Sue me, y'all. I dare YALL!)
ANOTHER LONG CHAPTER <3
MEANWHILE CHAPTER FOR CHAPTER 19!!
KAISA HรMรLรINEN
"When the first stone's thrown, there's screaming
In the streets, there's a raging riot
When it's "Burn the bitch," they're shrieking
When the truth comes out, it's quiet
It's so quiet"
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย KAISA STARED STRAIGHT ahead, not believing the phrase coming out of her handler's mouth. Did he just... praise her?
ย ย "Good job on your first successful mission, Poltergeist." Came the unexpected words from Pierce as he stood in front of her cell. She quickly glanced over to James to see his reaction, but he was as stoic as ever.
ย ย "I expect great things from you in the future as well." Pierce told her, then walked out.
ย ย 'What on Earth had just happened???' Kaisa thought to herself as she stared at her legs on the floor. She really expected everything but that. This must be a new tactic they had recently developed to keep her on their leash. But she won't behave like an obedient dog. If anything, she would be the most aggressive, violent, defiant one.
ย ย "I hate him." At the sound of the unexpected voice, Kaisa looked up and saw the stoic exterior of James breaking and now pure hatred was visible on his face and brewing in his cold eyes. She had to agree with him, Pierce deserved nothing but their reserved hatred for him and fury.
ย ย A few hours later Pierce came back. And this time, he wanted Kaisa to leave with him. He forced her out of the 'safety' of her cell and dragged her away by her arm. They walked past the lab where Kai had to endure most of the painful experiments.
ย ย All the while, the little girl was wondering one thing... Where was this monstrosity of a person taking her, if not to the chamber of pain and torture?
ย ย Soon, they reached a door which Pierce opened, pushing Kaisa inside. Then he walked in as well and closed the door. Maybe another questioning? She huffed and turn around to look at the man she loathed so much. He locked the door and walked towards her, to which she took fast steps back to avoid being caught in his vile, unwavering and bruising grasp once more.
Pierce's eyes darkened and snapped, "Enough! You will get over here right this second, Poltergeist or you'll be in big trouble! Am I understood?!"
Kaisa flinched a little at his harsh tone and the alias he had given her since day one but did everything in her power to keep her face as emotionless and blank as ever. She kept her unspoken promise to herself and didn't say anything. She didn't even move. That seemed to make the man in front of her even madder, now his jaw clenched and he had a flash of warning in his glare. The girl knew she should just go over to him to spare herself from any potential punishment, but she just couldn't. After all, she never ever broke promises, especially the ones she made for herself. She wasn't going to be an obedient slave, a weapon they can use. Sure, she killed that high class level threat but she put up one hell of a fight before it. She just wanted to get out with Jamsie by her side and never see these poor excuses of people again.
"Poltergeist... I just complimented you, expressed my pride. Don't do this. Don't make me take it back. You were such a good girl, don't go back to being a little brat again. Come on... Come here." He tried coaxing her, the next step of manipulation. She had learned it all. She knew what was next and braced herself for it to come. "Don't make me repeat myself, Poltergeist! I promise you, you will not like that!"
Aggression.
Kaisa shook her head defiantly, looking deep into his piercing blue eyes. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she continued the staring contest with her handler. The girl took a deep breath and bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from falling apart. Just a few seconds more...
Six...
No.
Kaisa suddenly blinked in confusion. What was that?? Why couldn't she finish her own thought? Are they controlling her thoughts her now? Can they even do that or is she too sleep deprived? Maybe both.
Pierce seemed to notice her minute of vulnerability and confusion and decided to step forward, grab her arm and drag her out of the corner of the room. Kaisa was too focused on her own bewilderment to notice how much his nails sunk into her flesh so much as to it started to draw blood. What. The. Fuck.
Pierce pushed her down onto a chair and stood in front of her. "So," He started, paying no mind to the little girl in front of him being completely out of it. "I'm going to ask you some questions and you better give me answers to them or else, I might just have to... hurt your precious little friend." He smirked down at her.
Fuck.
Pierce had her all figured out. He knew her weakness. James. James was her weakness, because she didn't care what they did to her anymore, not like she ever did. But James was a different story. That's how they manipulated her into killing that target earlier, too. That's how they know to get what they want. And as Kaisa finally broke out of her trance-like state, she looked up at the man standing in front of her and realized that he wasn't bluffing. He was seriously going to hurt James if she didn't start speaking. And by the pit that was starting to form in her stomach, she knew that she was either going to have to betray her swear and give the sadistic assholes what they want or betray Jamsie and get him hurt, potentially losing him forever.
Double fuck.
______________________
Two days later, Kaisa was sat next to The Winter Soldier in a weird house.
She didn't dare to look at him, didn't want to see that ruthless look in his eyes, that wariness in his shoulders, that stoicism on his face and robotic mannerisms. It hurt her. Pained her more than any punishment she ever received in this life and in her past as Nea. She could still hear his screams, those painful, desperate yells that echoed through the walls and that made her claw on her skin until it bled. She just wanted to help him but knew she couldn't do anything for him and that thought and realization frustrated her to no end.
The silence was starting to become even more intense and uncomfortable than the normal amount. Then, finally something happened. Footsteps echoed through the walls of the house and they came closer. Kaisa quickly straightened up and from the corner of her eyes, she could see The Winter Soldier doing the same, albeit with much more caution and subtlety.
ย ย Pierce walked into the frame and went straight for the fridge to take out the milk, when he suddenly paused, possibly sensing the presences in the room and turned around with the milk carton in his hand and the light of the fridge illuminating his outline, making him seem like some cartoon villain. He kept his glaze on The Soldier as he slowly closed the fridge door and for a moment, it was all silent.
ย ย Then, a feminine voice with a thick accent rang through the air, cutting through the tension in the room, "I'm going to go, Mr. Pierce. You need anything before I leave?" The accent was new to Kaisa and if she wasn't high on the drugs they gave her just before they took her here (to which she has no memory of, probably blacked out in the van), she'd start thinking about where the woman was from. Probably somewhere in Europe.
ย ย Pierce, without averting his eyes from the man sitting in front of him, responded, "No... It's fine, Renata. You can go home."
ย ย The sound of shuffling could be heard, probably 'Renata' packing the last of her stuff up, but not one word was exchanged between Kaisa, Pierce and... whatever was left of Jamsie's conscience.
ย ย Then, Renata's high pitched voice with that same accent. "Okay. Night-night." It was kind of cute how she said her goodbyes. Kaisa envied that. Even in adulthood, this Renata, this random middle-aged woman whom she had never met before managed to clutch onto that last piece of innocence from her childhood that's just the right amount and she doesn't even know how lucky she is. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her, there's a brainwashed 90-something year old man in the other room, who's been through way more than anyone else should've and a girl who appears to be six, with the mental capacity of a 27 year old, who's currently high on drugs and when she's not, she's either beaten or killing targets. And this, this Renata is so cheerful on this random Tuesday night, so blissfully unaware of the horrors they have faced. Good for her. But also, fuck her.
ย ย After Pierce said 'Good night' to Renata and the sound of the door closing died down, Pierce began his idiocy.
ย ย "Want some milk?" He asked, shifting his gaze from The Winter Soldier to Kaisa. Then he walked over to the cupboard and took out a glass. And although he sounded kind and legitimate, offering some milk for them, he knew full well that they were not in their right minds and couldn't make decisions or have choices at the moment, so he was only mocking the two. Typical.
ย ย He poured the milk into the glass and started getting down to business. "The timetable has moved." He looked up at them. "Our window is limited." As soon as he finished that sentence, he sipped the milk. Then walked around the kitchen island and started walking towards the table Kaisa and The Winter Soldier sat at. "Two targets, Level Six."
ย ย He sat down right in front of Kaisa, the glass still in his hand. "They already cost me Zola. I want confirmed death in 10 hours." He raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Kaisa, with a warning and pointing look in his piercing blue eyes.
ย ย Then, the mood changed when Renata's voice was heard again, from behind Pierce. The same annoying innocence and good intentions in her almost made the semi-conscious side of Kaisa nauseous. "I'm sorry, Mr. Pierce, I..." Pierce, being the idiot that he is, turned around, thus exposing the two people in front of him. Renata continued, now with hesitation and confusion mixing in her voice and her accent was as strong as ever, "I forgot my... phone." She glanced at The Winter Soldier, then at Kaisa with interest and a slight bit of fear swirling around in her eyes. Wrinkles started to appear on her forehead from the worry and she looked at Kaisa like she was silently asking her if she was okay and if she needed help.
ย ย That's when Kaisa regained control of herself for a brief time. The spy side of her kicked in and she was about to signal to Pierce that they could play it off as a family reunion since it was unlikely Renata actually heard what Pierce had just said or what was going on and no one would suspect a child. Her second thought was grabbing The Soldier's hand, shooting Pierce with the gun and running away with Renata telling her to get help and she was about to nod at her that she did, in fact need help when Pierce interrupted her plans with his annoying voice.
ย ย "Oh, Renata... I wish you would'veย knocked." Then, with efficient quickness he picked up the gun on the table and shot Renata. Kaisa would've screamed, if she was a normal child or would've even flinched, if she had a soul, but that was gone long ago. Stepped on, killed, shot multiple times and buried deep down to make sure she never feels anything besides complete devotion to her mission. Because that is what they do. She was a weapon.
The woman stumbled backwards and let out a scream. Then Pierce shot her again, this bullet took her down and shut her up.
Renata fell down and for a second, everything was quiet. (Ok I don't normally do this but Rip Renata, you deserved better. Slayed those 20 seconds of screen time. Might as well do an edit of such a diva๐. โน๏ธ a quiet second for Renata.- author.)
ย ย "I believe I have made myself clear." Pierce turned back towards the two and put the gun back down on the table, but not before looking at Kaisa and subtly pointing it at her as a way to keep her in line.
______________________
ย ย ย ย They had located the vehicle that the two targets were planning on escaping in. Just ten minutes before the mission began, they were informed of a new target. A traitor, by the name of Jasper Sitwell. He was in the car, confirmed by unknown sources and they were to eliminate him first to keep him from spilling any more secrets to SHIELD or anyone else. HYDRA didn't take any chances with moles, what if they start talking to the press next and for some reason they believe them? No. That couldn't happen.
ย ย The black car was on the bridge. No hospitals or SOS phone booth in sight. Perfect. Just as Kaisa was always trained to be, especially while she was still Nea. Just the way she was supposed to be. Perfect. Or even better, even more perfect than the word, the definition of perfection.
As soon as the car was in the perfect place, The Winter Soldier began the mission. He jumped on the car and with his left arm, broke the left back window, reached in, pulled Sitwell out and threw him in front of a moving truck.
Perfect.
One target down, two more to go.
That was when Kaisa's part came and she jumped next to him, taking out her poisonous knife she got as a reward from Pierce. She always preferred knives over guns for some reason. The Winter Soldier took out his gun and started firing but a certain redhead got in the way of his bullets and saved the blond man.
'Wait a minute...' Kaisa paused, even though she knew how dangerous that was at that moment. No, it couldn't be... Or could it?
Natalia Romanova.
What an honor it is to be the one to kill the famous Black Widow! Pierce never told her the names of the targets, and right now Kaisa's glad he didn't, this is a very pleasant surprise for her. Oh, how long she has been waiting for this, how long she was longing over this moment. And here it is, the traitor, the spy, the Avenger all at her mercy, all at her fingertips. Perfect.
Then her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of tires screeching and the breaks being hit, and because she was too lost in her own excitement, she went flying off of the vehicle along with The Soldier. When she landed on something relatively soft, she was confused. But only for a second, before she heard a pained and frustrated groan from underneath her and Kaisa immediately stood up, realizing that she had just fallen on her partner.
'Oops. Sorry.'
She pulled on the hair tie that was keeping her normally disheveled and messy blonde hair up and looked up at the black car with a newfound anger. She sensed that The Winter Soldier did the same, because she could see the fear in Natalia's eyes and in the other two man's eyes too. The Black Widow was scared. What an energy boost!
Still, the driver hitting the brakes and causing them to fly off the car did something to Kaisa. She could feel herself getting angrier by the second. One sound continued replaying in her mind, the sound of the pained grunt The Soldier let out as she landed on him. A single voice controlled her now. And the voice said the same thing over and over...
'They hurt Jamsie...'
She could feel her control slipping away as the cars passed by them and the big black SUV hitting the back of the car and pushing them forward to the two assassins.
ย ย A new voice took over her mind. This voice was stronger than any other, and it was repeating words.
ย ย Face. Six. Light. Care. Home. Switch.
ย ย Switch.
ย ย Switch.
ย ย Switch.
ย ย Switch.
ย ย Switch.
ย ย By the end, Kaisa was seething with rage and she didn't feel like herself anymore. She couldn't control herself anymore. She wasn't Kaisa anymore. No. This was Poltergeist.
ย ย And as the car came towards them, they both jumped on top of it once more. The Winter Soldier broke the windshield, grabbed the steering wheel and ripped it out of the car. Shouting could be heard from inside the car as Poltergeist narrowed her eyes in concentration and gripped the top of the car, swung herself down and got in the car through the already broken windshield.
ย ย Surprise etched on the faces on everyone inside the car before she kicked the driver in the face, breaking his nose. It was him. He was the one who hit the fucking breaks and injured Jamsie.
ย ย Poltergeist was acting purely on instincts now. The man groaned and grabbed his face, while The Black Widow grabbed her gun and attempted to shoot through the ceiling of the car but The Winter Soldier jumped off the top to another car.
ย ย Just as Poltergeist was about to make her move on The Black Widow, the SUV pushed against the car once more and she lost her balance. She fell back out the windshield, slid down the car and onto the road, right by the car as it passed her by. She let out a frustrated groan and punched the asphalt before standing back up.
ย ย Poltergeist just caught how the people fell out of the moving vehicle before it flipped over. She took a deep breath and looked back to check on The Winter Soldier. He had already grabbed a gun and fired at them. The blond man pushed The Black Widow out of the way and put his shield up. He got pushed back by the explosive The Soldier fired at him and fell down the bridge.
ย ย A big commotion could be heard and Poltergeist smirked to herself. She knew he survived the fall, but she was about to make sure he wouldn't survive what was about to come at him. She walked over to one agent and he immediately handed her a gun.
ย ย "Go." Was all he said as she ran over to the side of the bridge and jumped down.
ย ย Just by looking at the scene before her, she knew where her target was. The bus. She could see him helping people out of the bus as she slowly crept closer, then held the shotgun up and began firing.
ย ย 'Just be prefect.'
ย ย
ย ย 'Be perfect.'
ย ย 'Be. Perfect.'
ย ย 'You HAVE to be perfect!
Otherwise, what value do you have?'
ย ย Poltergeist took a deep breath and concentrated on firing the shotgun instead of the thoughts and voices in her head from her last life, reminding her of her sole purpose on this Earth.
She could hear some shooting up on the bridge and she could only silently hope they were from The Winter Soldier's gun.
Soon, though, she ran out of bullets as she pulled the trigger and instead of the satisfying sound of a bullet firing she only heard the soft click. "Fuck." She whispered to herself. Whatever, she still had her knife and her powers but those were only for the last case scenario.
She threw the used shotgun away, then ran over to the bus but stopped when a huge explosion blocked her path. She blinked a couple times in confusion, then when she glanced up, saw The Black Widow escaping her partner's attacks. The Widow was running under the bridge with full speed and Poltergeist ran behind her.
"You're mine now." She smirked as she followed the redhead.
She could see the other side of the bridge where the bus was and furrowed her eyebrows in concentration. Perfect. Two targets at one place. Could this mission get any better?
The Black Widow continued running until she suddenly stopped and reached for her guns. What on Earth was she doing? That's when Poltergeist decided to follow the woman's gaze and saw The Soldier being distracted and focused on the bus instead. Before she could realize what was happening or even intervene, The Black Widow was already shooting at him and by the looks of it, one of them actually landed.
Poltergeist growled and jumped on the redhead, catching her by surprise. Taking advantage of the fact that the woman stumbled back and became vulnerable for a second, Poltergeist bit her shoulder and pushed her back.
"Ow!" The Black Widow grunted in pain and surprise as she fell to the road. The blonde got on top of her and pinned her arms down with her knees.
"Gotcha." She whispered from underneath her mask. Then she took out her knife and raised it above to eliminate the target once and for all when The Black Widow's training kicked in and kicked the blonde off of her.
Poltergeist fell back, but quickly got back up. She was enraged. First this woman dares to fire at her partner, and now she's kicking her off? She's not giving up that easily. One of them will have to die today and it sure as hell won't be her. She narrowed her eyes and charged at the woman once more.
But this time, the widow was expecting her attack and punched her in the face. Then raised her right leg to kick her too, and that's when Poltergeist snapped.
"NO! FUCK YOU!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, sounding like a real child for a second before she went back to being a wild, rabid animal and squatted down to kick the woman's legs. It worked and now Poltergeist had a good two seconds to think about her next attack before the son of a bitch gets back up again like nothing had happened. She growled and jumped on her, as the other was still lying down and elbowed her in the stomach before Poltergeist decided to bite her again.
"Ow! Stop biting me, you brat!" Natalia pushed her back but the blonde just bit her once more and kicked her leg at the same time. "I'm serious!!"
Poltergeist leaned back. "So am I." And she landed a punch on the redhead's face. She was aiming to break her nose and let her bleed red like her hair for shooting at Jamsie. The memory of Jamsie being hit by the bullet came back to her and the girl became even more angry than she was.
As they were fighting, new shots were fired, this time at The Black Widow. The only problem was, that she was currently under Poltergeist so two bullets pierced through her flesh. The blonde let out a shriek and let go of the woman under her to move back and examine the injuries. For a second, she swore she saw some sympathy or even guilt in the green eyes of Natalia but Natalia bolted shortly after. Besides, there's no way The Black Widow has feelings, she was trained to not have any, especially none shown on her face. And Poltergeist was the enemy, why would she feel any remorse for her or her life? It's not like it mattered much anyway. She's just a weapon, that's all she is and what she ever is.
Poltergeist panted and looked down at her injuries. Two bullets; one barely grazed her shoulder and the other hit her thigh. She glared up at The Soldier as she snatched the bullet out of her thigh, now too blinded by rage to even notice the pain it caused or how much blood she had lost. She took a deep breath and stood up. "Fucking bullets..." She whispered to herself as she started walking, but stopped as she saw The Soldier jumping down from the bridge.
"You idiot! You hit ME! TWICE!!" She screeched at him but he payed her no mind. "Asshole..." The blonde scoffed as she continued looking around for the other target. Oh, right. The coward's still in the bus. She put her knife away and took slow steps in the direction of the bus. People were still escaping it, mostly unharmed. Not like she cared, though.
That's when more agents began to appear beside her. She extended her hand for a shotgun, she was given one and thus began the aimless firing at the bus in hopes of any of them hitting the target. The blonde took it as a challenge, as a competition, though.
'These useless agents have enough targets eliminated. This is a big fish. I want it.'
Then, all of a sudden, the man with the shield broke the window on the back of the bus and fell to his side. Still alive. Perfect. They immediately started firing at him, but his shield was taking it all, not a single scratch. And he even had the audacity to walk towards them while they were shooting at him! What type of an idiot does something like that? He's either very reckless or very stupid and the line to that is so thin, it's almost unseeable. Maybe he's both. Leaning more towards the stupid, though.
Poltergeist groaned in annoyance. Why can't he just die already?
Then someone shot the man next to her and she turned her head away for a second. "What?" She frowned and looked up at the bridge. The driver. Goddamnit. She put the shotgun down and ran towards the bridge.
The blonde used some vines to get up to the bridge and when she was there, she looked around for the driver. As soon as she spotted him, she pulled down her mask, secretly pulled her knife out but kept her hands behind her back as she approached the dark skinned man with a newfound look of innocence and scared expression and she even went as far as to build some fake tears up in her eyes.
"Excuse me... I... I lost my parents... Can you help me?" She blinked up at the man and watched as he turned around to look at her, momentarily taking his eyes off of the fight down under the bridge. Perfect.
"Look, kid, I'm in the middle of- What the hell? You're bleeding!" The man now turned fully around to get a good look on the small child in front of him. Poltergeist had totally forgot about her gun wounds until the man pointed it out. Right. She was bleeding from her thigh. Change of plans.
"I... I- I... They shot me, but that's not the point, I..." Her mind was blank, all focused on one thing and one thing only... Jamsie. "I just... Please, help me find my family..." Ew. She never begged before, not even when they were punishing her for being so stupid as to try and escape. And here she was, pleading to this man in front of her, on a bridge to catch him off-guard and kill him. She really was doing everything for the mission.
But the man still seemed worried about her physical condition. "Look, kid... You need to get out of here, you're already injured." Poltergeist rolled her eyes internally. Can't this driver just play along?
"I... I don't care! It doesn't hurt! I just want to know my parents are okay!! Please!" She looked up at him and batted her eyelashes pleadingly.
"Let's get you to a hospital, come on..."
UGH!!!
Poltergeist's small body was now full of rage and she couldn't keep the act up anymore as the 'Switch' began to control her more and more by the second. Within a second, she put her mask back on, pounced at the man and took out her knife from behind her back. If he isn't going to cooperate the easy way, he'll have to do it the hard way. She'll make him cooperate.
The man was caught off guard by the small girl in front of him suddenly displaying strength and hostile intentions as he stumbled back.
"FUCK YOU!!!" She screamed again and was about to stab him with the poisonous knife when the man grabbed her and threw her off the bridge. "SHIT!" She yelled as she landed on a car's windshield that was already broken from The Winter Soldier's chase after The Black Widow and Poltergeist could feel the familiar warm liquid dripping down her arm. She looked down at her arm and with great annoyance noted that she had another wound to slow her down. "Fuck my... fucking life..." She jumped off the car but not before flipping the man off.
Jamsie.
As soon as she realized he was nowhere to be seen, an enormous explosion could be heard and seen and she quickly started to run in the direction of the fire. While she was running, there was one thing running through her head, 'Don't let it be him. Please. Please, please, please don't let it be Jamsie.'
What she saw at the scene of the explosion shocked her.
ย ย The Winter Soldier threw The Black Widow against a car. What. The fuck. Happened while she was gone? Why hadn't he killed the target yet? The Soldier bent over and picked his gun up. He was getting ready to shoot when The Black Widow threw something at him. It seemed like a taser of some sort as his metal arm started to malfunction. Poltergeist ran after the annoying redhead to kill her herself, seeing as her partner wasn't in the right condition after all.
The Black Widow was fast for someone who's appeared to be no taller than 160 centimeters. She ran through the crowd and yelled at them. "Get out of the way! Stay out of the way!" And annoyingly so, she kept dodging every single bullet the blonde girl behind her shot at her.
"Ugh!! Just fucking die already!" Poltergeist grumbled and got ready to shoot another bullet at the running spy when a panicking civilian knocked her over and a new gunshot filled the air.
The blonde looked up and saw that The Winter Soldier had shot the red headed woman in the shoulder. She quickly got back on her feet and began running towards her target once more. The Soldier jumped on a car and just as he was about to shoot her, the blond man from earlier came running towards him with the shield still at his side.
As they were fighting, Poltergeist got on top of the car that her target was hiding behind and leaned down. "Boo!" Was all she said as she grabbed the woman's head and smashed it against the window. The Black Widow grunted in pain as her eyes became unfocused and more and more blood was dripping down on her face. She tried to grab Poltergeist but the blonde had already put her hands down on the car and did a roundoff back handspring off the car. She landed on her feet right in front of her target.
ย ย It looked like The Black Widow was stunned by what she had just seen, and for a second, it seemed like a flash of recognition and realization appeared behind her emerald green eyes, but it disappeared faster than it came and she quickly pulled herself together and attempted to pounce on the girl. Poltergeist moved out of the way and quickly sneaked behind the redhead. Then, she kicked her target in the popliteal fossa. The Black Widow fell down but quickly turned over and kicked herself back up.
ย ย Poltergeist narrowed her eyes and got ready for another attack, when her target suddenly lunged at her, tackling her to the ground. Since the woman was much bigger then her, there was not much the blonde could've done under her body.
ย ย "Get off of me!!" She screamed and thrashed around, desperately trying to escape.
ย ย "Who are you? Why are you attacking me? Who sent you??" The Black Widow kept asking her questions which just pissed Poltergeist off more. "Listen to me, I know you don't want to do this. You're just a child! How old are you? Five?"
ย ย Poltergeist screamed as loud as she could and... something happened. It seemed like the redhead was pulled back by some invisible force and her back hit the door of another parked car. Poltergeist stood up and walked over to the groaning woman. She pulled out her gun and pointed it right between her target's eyebrows. Perfect.
The widow clenched her jaw and kicked the gun out of the blonde's hands. "What the..." The blonde girl didn't have time to finish her sentence as The Black Widow's leg connected with her stomach and she fell down once more. "Ugh..." She frowned and looked down at all her injuries. At this rate, she's going to bleed out before she even comes close to eliminating her target.
The Black Widow walked over to her, squatted down and snatched her mask. The surprise was evident on her face. "Nea?" She asked and that made the blonde pause. Did she just...?
Kaisa blinked twice as everything came back to view and she was in control of herself once more. She froze and for a moment none of them spoke.
Then, Natalia stood up. "Stay down." She grabbed the mortar that Kaisa had and launched it in the distance. Kaisa quickly stood up and ran away as fast and as quiet as she could as to not alarm Natalia. She could hear a faint yell behind her, and she instantly recognized it as Natalia's.
"Nea! Wait!!"
