AS THEY ARRIVE AT THE SCENE OF THEIR CALL, Victoria jumps out of the truck first, looking around at the site. "Adult male, down on the hillside. We got three kids in a bouncy house." Hen explains as they all make their way over to the cliff. Victoria glances over, trying to get a glimpse of where the bouncy house is. As she looks back at the group, she sees Bobby pointing towards her.

"All right, we're gonna stage the trucks on that service road. Vic, I want you and Buck to repel down. Access the condition of those kids, and start to send them down one by one. I'll take care of the dad." He tells them and Victoria and Buck both nod their heads, moving towards the gear in order to clip themselves in.  "Chimney, you're gonna stay up here and work the winch," Bobby says as he looks towards Chimney who doesn't exactly look thrilled with his task.

"Hey, how come I never get to do any of the fun stuff?" Chimney asks as he watches the two younger firefighters get equipped. Bobby just puts his hand on the man's shoulder.

"Working the winch is fun," Bobby replies before moving over to where Victoria and Buck are heading down the cliff. As they get closer to the bouncy house, Buck makes sure to hook it onto the line so it doesn't fall further down the cliff.

"Bouncy house secure, Chim." Buck radios up as he allows Victoria to get closer to the bouncy house first.

"Copy."

"Hey, guys. Hey, we're L.A fire and rescue. We're gonna get you out of here." Buck says as they look inside and see the kids. "Everybody just stay calm." He tells them with a reassuring smile. Victoria sees Buck start to make a move but she stops him.

"I'll go in, I'm lighter," Victoria states as she looks towards him. Buck nods his head, agreeing as he steps aside for her to move past him.

"All right." Buck has his hand out, making sure she slides by easily. But as her foot slips slightly, she lets out a gasp, falling a little bit but both her harness and Buck make sure she doesn't fall far. His hands gripped her waist tightly, holding her against him."Woah, you good?" He asks her as he looks down at her. Victoria meets his eyes, clearing her throat a bit as she creates distance between them.

"Yeah." She responds as she nods her head. She could feel Buck's hands still on her hips as she moved slightly into the bouncy house. "Can you tell me if your friend here is okay? Is he awake, is he breathing?" Victoria asks the boys but they just shake their heads. She sighs as she makes her way fully in.

"Lower the basket down, Chim," Buck tells him as he glances up the cliff before returning his eyes back to Victoria.

"Copy."

"Is my dad okay?" The boy asks as he stares at Victoria. She offers a smile, wanting to reassure him since they were still dangling from a cliff.

"He's okay, let's just focus on you." She states as she continues to check on the boy who is still unconscious.

"Chim, a little lower," Buck asked as he could almost reach the basket. Once he gets it, Victoria looks at the boys who are still able to move.

"Boys, come on, let's go. Now." Victoria tells them as she gestures for them to come towards the exit. They slowly make their way over, Buck waiting for them.

"All right. That's it. Nice and easy." Buck says as he grabs one of the kids. "All right, baskets coming in, Vic." He tells her as he starts to slide it in. She grabs it, pulling it the rest of the way. "You got it?" Buck asks and she just nods her head, getting the boy on the board before grabbing the other kid and climbing out of the bouncy house. "Vic's coming down. She's got one kid." Buck announces through the radio as Victoria slowly starts to go down the rest of the way.

Her eyes glanced back at Buck who was getting ready to take the other kids down. He didn't see her gaze and she was grateful he didn't. She didn't know why she could still feel the remnants of his touch on her hips. Victoria had never even glanced in Buck's direction before and now, after this small moment, why was it different?

VICTORIA WAS EATING POPCORN AS SHE WATCHED BUCK TRY AND PLAY THE FIREFIGHTER GAME. It was safe to say he was not doing a very good job by the way that Hen was screaming at him. "Right here. Right here. Right here. Turn left!" Hen tells him as she points at the screen. Buck groans as he shakes his head, trying his best to use the control but the truck isn't turning enough for him.

"I'm trying!" Buck shouts back at her as he is at the edge of the couch, trying to win the level. Victoria snorts as she picks more popcorn out of the bowl, shaking her head.

"Not hard enough." She states and he only glared at her for a moment before focusing back on the game. Hen scoffs as she gestures towards the television.

"Oh. Oh. So, you're fleeing the scene? You do realize that you lose points for murdering people on the way to a fire." Hen explains to him in an accusatory manner making Victoria laugh. Buck shrugs his shoulders, his eyes glued.

"She seemed fine. It's a flesh wound. Obama care." He replies, not really listening to what she is saying. Hen only leans over, grabbing the controller, or at least trying to as Buck had a tight grip on it. "What--Hen! Someone call H.R.! Hen!" He shouts as he tries his best against the woman. Victoria smirks as she leans over, helping Hen win. "Hey, you're not allowed to team up on me!" Buck accuses as he tries to push the girl away but she doesn't budge. Hen was able to get the controller as Victoria held Buck's arms.

"You aren't the boss." Victoria retorts as she sits back against the couch, her eyes staring down into his. Buck narrows his, pushing her to the side and almost causing her to go falling off the couch. She gasps, hitting him back which makes him smirk as they start to wrestle with each other.

"Chimney, here you're up," Hen says, completely ignoring the two beside her as she watches Chimney walk by. She furrows her eyebrows, looking over at Buck and Victoria who had stopped fighting after Chimney had disregarded them.

"Oh, man," Buck mutters as they all watch Chimney walk over to the kitchen where Bobby is. Victoria pushes herself off of Buck, standing up along with Hen. Buck got up a little too quickly, causing him to be right behind Victoria. She just tried to ignore the fact that his body was pressed up against hers before she followed Hen over to the kitchen.

"Hey. What's wrong? You okay?"  Hen asks him curiously as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"Look, Chim, if there's something you want to talk about," Buck says as he leans against the counter. Victoria nodded her head, a frown on her face as she wanted to know what was wrong.

"You know we're always here for you."  She says with a soft smile, she always loved Chimney ever since she arrived in Los Angeles. He made her feel welcome the moment she stepped foot into the firehouse.

"I'm a good-looking guy, right?" Chimney asks them, catching them a bit off guard. "I mean, you can do a lot worse than me? Yeah?" He adds, trying to get his point across.

"Chimney, I've done a whole lot worse than you." Hen admits with a snort and Victoria nods her head in agreement. She's definitely also done a lot worse, basically borderline of what she should settle for.

"You think I'd be a good father?"

"Of course, Chim." Hen assures him but Victoria was only getting more confused. Was somebody pregnant and she didnt know about it? "What is this about?" She asks curiously, sharing a glance with Victoria.

"I asked Tatiana to marry me." Chimney admits and Victoria's eyes immediately go wide at the news.

"What?" Hen almost shouts, she was not expecting him to go that far, especially with someone like Tatia.

"Are you serious?" Buck asks him, not knowing if this was a joke or not.

"I am not commenting on that." Victoria mumbles as she shakes her head. She had never liked Tatia, it was just something about her that rubbed her the wrong way.

"Um.. well, what happened?" Hen asks, deciding to be the one to push the conversation on.

"First, she said she cheated on a fiance that I didn't even know about and that now we need to break up. Then she said that she didn't know. I...--"

"Did you offer her the option of an open marriage? It's super modern." Buck asks him as he raises an eyebrow at the man. Both Hen and Victoria give him a blunt expression.

"Buck."

"Is your brain even turned on?" Victoria asks him with a scoff as she hits his arm. Buck just looked confused as to why they were angry with him.

"It's a thing people do." Buck admits as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Because they don't want to be loyal and want the excuse to cheat whenever they want to." Victoria responds, narrowing her eyes. Buck just bites the inside of his cheek, deciding to stay quiet.

"Chim, I'm sorry. That may have not been the response that you hoped for. But it's not a no." Hen points out, although they were all hoping it was. Victoria wasn't the only person who didn't like her.

"It might as well be." Chimney mumbles as he shakes his head.

"Probably for the best." Bobby pipes up, finally saying something as he had been silent the whole time. Victoria purses her lips, her eyes snapping to the captain.

"What was that?" Chimney questions as he turns his attention to Bobby who shakes his head.

"Nothing. I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything by that." Bobby denies which makes Victoria clear her throat, rubbing the back of her neck. This was not going to end well.

"Of course you meant something by that, 'It's probably for the best', there's a lot of meaning behind that. What you don't... you don't like her?" Chimney asks him and Bobby sighs, holding up his hands in defence.

"I never said I don't like her. I don't like her for you." Bobby corrects, not wanting his words to get twisted up.

"Oh, boy." Victoria mutters as she shares a glance with Buck and Hen. She just walks over to the table, not wanting to get involved.

"And what does that even mean?" Chimney wanted a straight answer from the man. "No. Come on with it, wise man. Just say what you wanna say cause I'm getting real tired of you standing there, just silently judging me with that-- Yeah, right there with that smirk on your face." He accuses as he points at the man who was caught off guard.

Buck was just eating out of the bag of chips in his hand, slowly moving it over to Victoria as they both watched the scene from afar. She glances at him but takes a few. "You know, you're always so quick to comment on Everybody's life but you completely shut down whenever we ask about yours. Why is that, huh?" Chimney asks him as he crosses his arms against his chest. Victoria shakes her head, asking something like that was never easy. She didn't like talking about her past either, it was just a preference.

"I mean, how long have we worked together, Bobby? I know nothing about you. I've never even met your wife and your kids. You know why? Cause all you do, is you sit there, broading, staring in that little book of yours." Chimney explains to him, getting angrier by the second.

"You know what? You're upset, let's drop it." Bobby states, not wanting this to interfere with their work. Victoria could only reach in bucks bag for more chips as he rests his arm on her shoulder, shoving some into his mouth.

"Oh, my god. Bobby. Come on, just say it! What is it?"

"All right, you're living a lie, man!" Bobby shouts towards him and victoria almost drops the chips that were in her hand. "You let her manipulate you. You pretend to be somebody you're not when you're around her. Making up stories to satisfy some hero fetish of hers? What is that?" Bobby asks with a scoff leaving his lips. Chimney only glares back at him.

"You know what? Maybe I wouldn't have to make up stories if every once in a while, you let me take point on something." Chimney snaps back as he takes a step towards Bobby. "I have to operate the winch, right? And the maneuver? I can do the maneuver." He points out, shaking his head. Hen glances at Buck and Victoria, a little confused in that moment since she saw how close together they were. Usually if Buck touched Victoria, it ended up with him getting punched in the gut.

"I know you can. That's not the point here. Chimney, this relationship that you're in is fueled by lies." Bobby tells him, not wanting him to get the wrong idea by what he was saying. "Come on. You asked me to make you two dinner so you could pass it off as your own. She's not in love with you. She's in love with this fantasy version of you." He explains as he gestures to the man.

"You know what? I feel real bad for your wife. I really do. Must be tough living with someone who thinks he's right all the time." Chimney accuses as he scoffs, shaking his head before turning and heading towards the stairs.

"Chim." Hen tries to stop him but he brushes her off.

"No, I'm getting some air." Chimney mutters, storming off down the stairs. It was silent for a moment, Victoria just fiddling with her fingers.

"That went well." She mumbles, causing everyone's eyes to land on her. Victoria just looks back at them before clearing her throat and sitting down at the table.

โ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข

STARING IN FRONT OF HER AS SHE SAT ON THE COUCH, Victoria was only trapped in her own thoughts as she fiddles with her fingers. She tried not to let stress and anxiety get to her, but there wasnt always something she could do to stop it. "Hey, you okay?" She hears from beside her causing her to glance over, seeing both Hen and Buck staring at her.

"What? Yeah." Victoria replies as she moves a bit on the couch. Buck raises his eyebrow at her, resting against the back.

"Are you sure, you've been staring at the plant like it's gonna come to life." Buck teases her and she just lets out a sigh as her eyes drop to her hands.

"Just stressed." She admits as she shrugs her shoulders. Victoria didn't like showing her vulnerable side a lot, only Hen has really seen her break down.

"About what?" Hen asks curiously, placing her hand on the woman's arm, rubbing it lightly.

"Wouldn't you be stressed if you were raising a teenager?" She asks Hen, who jusr groans as she shakes her head.

"I am not prepared for when Denny reaches that age." Hen admits, not even wanting to think about Denny growing up that much.

"How old is your sister anyways?" Buck asks, he had never really asked and he didn't really have many conversations with Roseanne.

"Fourteen." She answers as she runs a hand through her hair. Buck lets out a puff of air.

"Ooh, that's the prime age." Buck states causing Victoria to snort, shaking her head with a growing smile on her lips.

"You'd know, wouldn't you?" She retorts as she pushes him back slightly.

"Yeah, Buck was probably a big troublemaker." Hen teases as she laughs, winking at Buck who gasps, placing his hand on his chest.

"Hey, I had to do something to get my parents attention." He responds and Victoria rolls her eyes a bit as she gets up from the couch. She runs her hand along bucks arm as she walks towards the kitchen. Hen who was watching very closely, waits for Victoria to be out of ear shot.

"What's up with that?" Hen asks as she looks back at Buck. Buck only furrows his eyebrows,  not knowing what she was referring to.

"With what?" He asks as he rests back against the couch.

"You and Vic." Hen states the obvious as she gestures to the woman who was getting a cup of coffee.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"There's..tension." She points out, she swore she was the only one who saw it. The way it was like a flipped switch, it just was suddenly there.

"You're seeing things." Buck replies as he shakes his head. He did feel something towards Victoria but he would never admit that to Hen.

"Mm, no I'm not." Hen denies as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"We just talked the other day." Buck tells her, not seeing why Hen was suddenly asking him about this topic.

"About what?"

"Not really my place to say." He replies, he wasn't about to spill the one thing that Victoria had told him. He wasn't a complete idiot.

"Woah, she told you something that she hasn't told me?" Hen asks, a bit surprised that she wasn't the first one that Victoria has talked to. "That is definitely weird." She points out as she knew something was happening for sure now.

"We're friends." Buck states, although that was only semi true. He didn't even know if Victoria would classify them as friends.

"No, no. Vic and I are friends. You... are just there." Hen retorts as she gestures her hand at him. Buck rolls his eyes playfully as he smirks at the woman.

"Well, maybe I'm finally sneaking into her good side." He suggests causing Hen to let out a loud laugh, shaking her head.

"All right, everybody. Let's gear up. Let's go! Let's go!" They hear Bobby yell, causing them to all rush over to the railing, peering down onto the apparatus floor.

"For what? I didn't hear a bell." Buck points out, wondering what the emergency

"It's Chimney." Bobby tells them and they all immediately start to rush down the stairs. "Hustle up, let's go!" He shouts, wanting to get to the scene as quick as possible.

As they make their way down the streets of Los Angeles, Victoria can't help but fear the worst. Her knee kept bouncing up and down, her eyes just staring at the passing cars. She couldn't lose anyone else. Especially not being able to say goodbye like what happened with Darden. She got a call the other month from Kelly saying that Darden had died in a fire. Although she hadn't been at 51 in a while, she still kept in contact with most and his death had completely shocked her.

She was not about to lose someone else. Especially someone who she had gotten so comfortable around, someone who always had her back. Chimney had welcomed her immediately when she had come to the 118. It would not be the same without him around.

Victoria feels someone's hand on her knee so she glances at it. She noticed that it belonged to Buck who had a look of concern on his face. She only gives him a tight smile, trying her best not to have a panic attack while in the truck. But Buck's touch was actually helping to keep her calm as they drove down the street.

As they pull up to the accident, Victoria sat in her seat for a few more seconds as Hen and Buck got out of the truck. Buck had turned back, looking at the woman who was only staring down at her hands. She takes a deep breath before getting out, keeping her eyes in front of her.

"Captain Nash." They hear someone say, looking up to see another captain walking over to him.

"Yeah, thanks for calling."

"Your guy is this way. He wouldn't let anyone else touch him. You uh... you might want to prepare yourself, sir." The man responds as he gestures to the car up ahead. Bobby turns to the group behind him.

"Hang back, guys." Bobby tells them causing them to stop as he went ahead.

"Hang back? How bad is it?" Victoria asks, almost to herself as she knew they wouldn't have been told to stay put if it wasn't something bad.

"Let's pray it isn't." Hen mutters as she watches Buck move a bit closer, at least far enough so Hen could talk to Victoria without him being nosy. "Buck told me that you two talked."  She says, looking at Victoria who bites the inside of her cheek.

"He did, did he?"

"What do you two have to talk about?" Hen asks, she just wanted to know if it was something that Victoria had already told her or not.

"Nothing." Victoria mumbles as she shrugs her shoulders.

"Nothing?" Hen asks, narrowing her eyes. "You haven't even hung out with him outside of the firehouse and you expect me to believe it was just a normal conversation." She points out, it was very weird that she was even in the same room with him alone.

"Hen, it's nothing." She denies, not really wanting to get into it right now when they were about to see the state that Chimney was in. Hen sighs but decides to leave it alone.

Victoria follows and she had to stop herself from making any physical reaction when she saw what was going on. "He's alert and talking, doesn't seem to be in any pain." Bobby explains to them as he moves a bit away from the car.

"Hes got a piece of rebar through his skull. How's that even possible?" Buck asks as he shakes his head. Victoria just stares down at the ground, she never got queasy or even felt the slightest bit afraid but right now she was.

"Oh, it's possible. Brain tissue has no nociceptors. It can't feel pain." Hen states as she looks over at Buck.

"Okay, what about the rest of his head?" Buck questions, just trying to understand how Chimney was so calm and responsive.

"Well, he's in shock." Bobby tells them as he lets out a sigh. "Now, listen guys, this hadn't registered yet. He knows he's pinned but that'd it, so we got to be cool." He says, they didn't want to startle Chimney in the slightest since the bar could move.

"So, if this things right between his eyes, can't he see it?" Buck asks.

"I don't know what he can see." Bobby admits as they start to walk towards the car.

"God, I couldn't imagine being in his place right now." Victoria admits as she shakes her head. Surely she would be way more freaked than he seemed to be, even if she didn't know what was going on.

Hen was already In the car, taking Chimneys vitals. "Airway sounds good." Hen tells them as she pulls away the stethoscope.

"How's your pain level?" Bobby asks as he stares at Chimney.

"Not much pain." Chimney tells them as he tries to think about it. "Uh.. I don't think there's any spinal damage. I can feel my legs but when I try and move my head--"

"Don't!" They all scream at him causing him to be caught a bit off guard.

"Just.. be still." Bobby tells him, not wanting to freak him out but they were definitely past that now.

"What's going on? W-why aren't you guys, like, cutting me out of here?" Chimney asks, clearly knowing that there was something wrong.

"It's complicated." Bobby admits with a sigh leaving his lips.

"Why?"

"You've been injured, Chim." Bobby states.

"Well, how bad is it?" Chimney asks.

"It's not good." Buck mutters and Victoria just slaps him on the arm causing him to groan a bit.

"Seriously?" She harshly whispers to him and he just stares back at her, what else was he supposed to say?

"Well, I want to see it."

"No, you don't."

"Yeah, I do, Bobby. Show it to me."

"All right." Bobby gives up, knowing the man wasnt going to stop asking. He pulls out a mirror from the pack. "You ready?" He asks, needing Chimney to prepare himself a bit.

"Show it to me." Chimney says and Bobby hesitantly holds the up the mirror so that he could see.  "Holy crap." He mutters, his eyes widening as he sees the rebar in his head. "How come I'm not dead?" He asks, not understanding how he was even still talking.

"Cause you are the luckiest and the unluckily son of a bitch on the face of the earth All at the same time." Bobby admits.

"Hey, you guys, uh, I can't even feel this."  Chimney admits as he couldn't believe he had a rod through his head. Bobby sighs, nodding his head.

"I know."

"All right, please get me out of before I start to." Chimney pleads, not really wanting to be conscious when his shock starts wearing off.

"All right, we're going to. Normally, I'd be consulting with my smartest EMT, but right now he's got a rebar stuck in his head." Bobby tells him as he stands up from the car.

"Hey, Buck. How's the car? Is it a total loss?" Chimney asks, mainly joking as they connect the chain to the car in order to pull it onto the tow truck. Victoria glances towards Buck who just laughs slightly.

"No man. You could probably just buff most of that out." Buck responds, his voice slightly cracking but he knew Chimney just needed a light answer.

"Good."

โ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข

AS SHE RAN ON THE TREADMILL, victoria had her airpods in as she spoke with kelly on the phone. He was having a hard time right now, especially with Dardens wife, Heather who seemingly blamed him for what happened. "Heather won't even look at me, let alone speak to me." He admits, a sigh leaving his lips.

"Just give her some time. Grief works differently for everyone." Victoria points out, there wasn't a set time limit or certain way some went through losing someone. You just had to give them some space.

"She blames me for Darden ever becoming a firefighter. " Kelly tells her and Victoria sighs lightly. She knew they were friends since they were little, but Kelly didn't force him.

"Hey, he made that choice on his own." Victoria states, knowing Kelly already blamed himself enough. "Don't beat yourself up over it." She says, wishing she could give him a hug.

"I know." Kelly says, rubbing his face slightly as he moves the phone into a different position. "Is there a reason that you're so far away from your phone?" He asks curiously, he could hear her breathing heavily aswell.

"Getting in a quick workout." Victoria tells him.

"Mhm." Kelly hums, knowing there was a specific reason. "Why?" He asks her.

"Because I can?"

"No, you always do it when you're stressed about something." Kelly points out, he had known her for quite a few years now and he knew her more than she knew herself.

"One of our guys is in the hospital." Victoria admits, hating not knowing how Chimney is doing. But she couldn't exactly skip work because of it.

"Is he okay?"

"The doctor doesn't know if he'll wake up." She says, trying to keep her voice stable as she didn't really want to think about it right now.

'Man, I'm sorry." Kelly apologizes as it sucked everytime one of their own was in the hospital. "What happened?" He asks, not wanting to push but also wanting to know how serious of an injury it was.

"Car accident. Rebar went through his skull."

"Jesus, that's tough." Kelly responds, surprised the man even survived going through that. Victoria sighs as she increases the speed on the machine.

"Yeah."

"Well, if you were in Chicago, I'd take you out to a bar and get you drunk." Kelly says with a soft laugh, knowing that was always a good way to get her mind off of things.

'I'll take you up on that next time I see you." Victoria replies, giggling lightly.

"And when will that be?" He asks, they hadnt seen each other in person in quite a while. "Vic, you haven't been back here since you moved and that was what, four years ago?" Kelly points out, wondering if she was ever going to make it back to Chicago.

"It just brings up too many memories." She admits as she shakes her head. It's not like she didn't want to go back, she just needed time and space. Victoria still wasn't completely healed from what happened.

"How about, I catch a plane to come and see you?"  Kelly suggests, he wouldn't mind taking a break as well. And he did miss her, it wasn't the same just talking on the phone.

"You don't have to do that." Victoria didn't want him to disrupt his life, even if it was just for a few days.

"You need a friend and I'd rather catch up in person anyways." Kelly tells her, not about to take no for an answer. Victoria smiles gently as she knew Kelly just wanted to be there for her.

"Okay." She replies, looking up into the mirror and noticing buck walking into the room. "Look, I have to go. I'll talk to you later." Victoria states as she looks away from the man.

"Yeah, bye."

"Who was that?" Buck asks as he places his water bottle down on the bench. Victoria just rubs the back of her neck.

"A friend." She responds as she ups the speed on the treadmill.  Buck laughs lightly as he rests his arms on the edge of the machine.

"You have friends?" Buck teases her and she just smiles, shaking her head.

"Shut up, Probie." Victoria responds as she looks back in front of her. "He's from Chicago." She admits, although he didn't know much about her station before.

"Oh, that's where you moved from, right?"

"Yeah." Victoria says as she nods. "Did you come in here for something or to just stare at me?" She asks as she meets his eyes, catching the way he was staring at her running.

"Not everything's about you." Buck retorts as he raises an eyebrow at her. Victoria rolls her eyes playfully.

"Mhm." She hums as she continues to run on the treadmill. Buck watches her, seeing that the time she was on it was already pretty high.

"You shouldn't overstress your body." He tells her, crossing his arms against his chest. Victoria just glances back over at him.

"This is me relaxing." Victoria admits, she always went on runs whenever she was anxious about something. It helped her calm down and get rid of her nerves.

"I'd hate to see what you're like at a party." Buck states with a smirk on his face. Victoria laughs as she slows down the treadmill until it was fully stopped.

"At a party, I'm getting drunk and dancing with whatever man or woman wants to get some of this." She says as she gestures towards her body before grabbing a towel that she had set aside.

"That would be a long line." He mutters to himself, glancing towards her to make sure she didn't hear it. Buck thought she was attractive, that was never in question, and it was clear she could pull a lot of people, especially being open to women.

"You need a spot?" She asks, looking over at him. Buck snaps out of his thoughts, meeting her eyes.

"Nah, I'm just gonna lift some weights." Buck states as he clears his throat, shaking his head.

"Okay, I'm gonna jump in the shower." Victoria says as she moves past him, heading towards the bathroom. Buck lets out a sigh as he brings his hands to one of the dumbbells on the rack. Trying to rid his mind of the thoughts of Victoria that clouded it.

โ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข

ARRIVING TO THE SCENE OF AN APPARENT ABANDONED TRUCK, victoria places her hands on her hips as she was wondering why they were called in the first place. "Buck, get the tools." Bobby informs the man who nods his head but a sigh leaves his lips as he glances towards Hen.

"Is it bad that I was stoked for an emergency? I was climbing the walls back at the house." Buck admits as he grabs the saw from the truck. Hen just stares at him, clearly not impressed with his comment.

"We all were and yeah, it's wrong. We're not here to blow off steam. We're here to help." Hen tells him as she walks towards the trucks drivers door.

"Eh, I could really use a rescue right now." Victoria admits as she and Buck walk over to Bobby who was inspecting the trucks back doors.

"Let's get these doors open." He tells them before looking towards victoria. "Vic," Bobby says and she nods her head, grabbing the tool from Buck with a smirk on her face. He only playfully glares back before she turns in order to cut through the metal. As the sparks fly, Buck can't help but stare at her, never realizing until now how hot she looked while working. When she stops, she moves the tool down, going to turn when she sees Buck just looking right at her.

"What?" She asks, her eyebrows furrowed as she stares back at him. Buck clears his throat, shaking his head.

"Nothing." Buck replies as he just moves in order to open the door. Victoria was a bit confused but brushed it off. As they opened the doors, they saw a group of people all laying on the floor. Victoria knew there were trucks that smuggled people in, but to just leave them back here to die was inhumane.

"All right, let's get these people some water." Bobby calls out as they start helping the ones who could walk out of the truck.

"It's about four and half hours from the Mexican border, that's not even adding where they started." Hen mutters with a scoff, shaking her head. A mother and father rush to Buck with a little boy in their arms, clearing trying to explain that he wasn't breathing.

They place the boy on the ground and Buck checks for a pulse. "Starting compressions." He says as he places his hands on the boys chest. "Come on, I need you to breathe for me." Buck mutters as he tries his best to get the little boy to come back. Victoria leans over the man and just as she does, the little boy coughs, his eyes opening.

The parents were relieved as they started thanking them. "Uh--uh, todo bien. Todo bien." Buck tells them, not knowing much Spanish but hoping that would calm them.

"Hey, dick! Where do you think you're going?" They hear Hen shout and when they look over, they see her tackling someone to the ground. Victoria was obviously shocked as she hasnt seej Hen act this way. "Whole families could have died in there. Somebody with a badge and gun wanna put this trash in custody?' She asks as she looks around, a cop jogging over to the pair.

"Oh, that was badass. But I thought we weren't here to blow off steam?" Buck asks her with a slight chuckle. Hen only glares at him.

"You know what you can blow." She mutters as she pushes past the man whos smile drops.

"Hen." He tries to say but Victoria stops him, shaking her head.

"She will punch you." Victoria states, knowing hen wasnt in the best mood right now. Buck nods his head, his phone starting to ring in his pocket. "Is that your little lover?" She teases as she raises an eyebrow at him. Buck turns red as he pulls out his phone, seeing that it was infact Abby.

"Shut up."

"So, it is?" She responds with a growing smirk as she laughs lightly. "Say hi for me." Victoria says as she lets her hand run down his arm before moving past the man. Buck looks down at his arm, almost forgetting that his phone was ringing for a moment. His eyes follow after Victoria as she makes her way back to the truck.

Clearing her throat, he looks down at his phone before answering it.
