Another habit of Sydney is to cover most things with a coat of sarcasm. Some people genuinely think she hates them while she is only just being her sarcastic self. This can make her seem unbothered and distant at first, but her friends learn to read between the lines.

Sydney grew up with a normal home situation. Her parents always supported her no matter what.

When she was six she got her first instrument, it was a ukelele. She loved it and seemed to have a talent for it. At the age of 12 she got an acoustic guitar. She was happy with this one as well, but soon she figured that she was more into the rock-ish music. When she was 15 she bought her electric guitar and a few months later a speaker as well. When she was 18 she got her own recording gear and now she is all set.

At the age of 17 she joined a rock band, in which she plays electric guitar and background vocals. They did little concerts, but she had been out of the running for some time. While setting up for stage Sydney was carrying heaving gear. She twisted her ankle on the stairs and broke her knee because of this. She had surgery and was left with a huge scar. Her knee is still fragile but she is still alive.

During the period in which she couldn't be on stage, Syd spend her free time in her home studio. She started making her own music.
