A/n: I updated my Cast/Playlist, i added the crew and some new characters if yall are interested

I woke up from my alarm. First day of school. Yay... I didn't really want to go, but it is what it is. I crawled out of bed, picking my outfit, doing my hair, putting on makeup and getting my stuff in my backpack. The gang is going in different times, so Willy is dropping me off.

"Ready?" He asked as he grabbed his keys.

"Emotionally or physically?" He laughs. We got in the car, turned up the tunes that Willy had from last night. You can hear the music playing from miles away. I got off from the corner and made my walk to school.

"Hey Val!" Everyone greeted.

"Hey!" I waved. I walked in the school, everyone smiling at me.

"New shirt?"

"You bet! New year, new wardrobe!" I laughed off. I went to my locker and put some old books in there.

"Mi vida." I bit my lip as I heard the warm, yet sexy voice.

"Ruby." I said as I closed my locker and we held hands down the hall. We met up with Jamal and walked with Cesar and Monse, who were also holding hands. We walked down the stairs, smiling as its a new year.

"Its a new year." Jamal said, smiling.

"And a new day." I held Rubys arm.

"Finally we can get back to normal." Ruby told us, looking at me.

"Everything will be the same way it was before." I smiled.

"Turner!" Coach yelled out. Jamal stomps down the stairs and walked away with him.

"Catch yall later? Gotta drop off my lady to her class." Ruby nudged me.

"See you guys at lunch." We broke up. We made it to my classroom, having 5 extra minutes. We leaned against the lockers.

"Everyone has been up my ass since this morning." Ruby confessed.

"Why is that?"

"They call me bulletboy. Taking pictures with me with the bullet wound. I don't know if I can stand the rest of the day." I picked up his head, using my two fingers under his chin. I gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"Point them out to me, ill make them stop." We both laughed. The warning bell rang. "See you later amor."

"Si mi princesa." We pulled away and I walked into class. I sat down in the back, saving a seat for Monse. Speaking of the devil, she ran in, late. She smiled at me as she found me. The teacher started to talk about the syllabus, making me go on my phone.

"Have you see Bulletboy?" I overheard one of the girls in the back.

"Yes! Hes so hot with the wound." They giggled. I clenched my fist. That wasn't even funny.

"Whats his name again?" I scoffed. They didn't even know my mans name, only bulletboy. How iconic.

"You good?" Monse leans in.

"Im fine." I growled, not looking up from my phone. I put on my earphones and listened to music. I just cant listen to them talk about Ruby. The bell rang, I quickly grabbed my stuff and shoved it in my bag. The whole day I haven't stop hearing about the girls talking about 'bulletboy'. It was finally lunch time.

"Hey, Val!" One of the popular girls Marisol, and also played varsity soccer with me, ran up to me. "Wanna have lunch with us? We can save you a spot." She smiles. My eyes widen. Me, invited to eat with the populars? Wow!

"I would Marisol, but I promised my friends that we eat together." I nodded my head.

"No te preocupes!" We talked to the lunchroom. "You're always welcome! You're one of us now." I nearly choked on air. One of them!? "Love the shirt by the way, where you'd get it?"

"Oh its from pacsun." I smiled.

"So cute on you. So I'll see you in soccer practice then?"

"Definitely!" We parted ways and I caught up with the crew. I got my food and we headed to sit.

"Guys, i got eyes on me." Jamal stressed.

"Me too. The poss shooting lookie loos are out in full force." Ruby added in.

"Seriously?!" I rolled my eyes.

"Oh Ruby!" A girl comes up and takes a picture with him, showing his wound. I gave that girl a nasty look.

"I dont know how much longer i can be bullet boy." We finally walked down at our table. "I just wanna get back to normal."

"Normal!?" Jasmine pops up, pushing me away from Ruby, making me stumble and giving Jamal a heart attack. "Baby you aint never been normal! You got that special sauce flowing through your veins." Special sauce? What? "And probably all over that juicy nalga!" She laughs. Jamal looks back at Rubys ass. "Ruby said I could sit with yall, so..." everyone wasn't too happy, but im over here happy because we're finally being nice to Jasmine.

"Shoot! I forgot dessert." Ruby lied. He gave me his dessert in line.

"Oh you sit. I got you. Sugar free sweets for my super sweet treat, coming right up!" She run off. We finally sat down. I sat next to Ruby, opening my milk carton. "Oh im sorry. But ever since my brush with death, i made a bargain with the big man." Ruby looks up. "Or woman? Lets just say the universe to be gender neutral. But part of that deal was to work on my karmic energy, be a better person, so shit wouldnt go sideways again. Part of that deal is to do charity, and Jasmine is my charity."

"Y eso esta bein." I kissed his cheek.

"You haven't told Jasmine you guys are dating?" Monse asked. We both looked at each other. We just stuff food in our mouths. If Jasmine finds out that we're dating, the girl would go crazy! She loves, i mean obsessed, over Ruby. "Hmm, right, but couldnt you have saved a rain forest instead?"

"See? I knew this would be an issue."

"Speaking of commitment, we need to make one." Jamal brings in. "What are we gonna do with the cheddar? We need a plan of action ASAP. First thing after school, all hands meeting. This kind of gouda can get ripe real quick. Im not sure we can handle if of people start sniffing around." Might as well. Im down.

"Cheesy. But i like it."

"Yes!" Jamal and Ruby fist bumped.

"Right now, the money as is makes us targets." I said as I put the dressing on my salad. "We need to move quickly to wash the cash so we can use the money-"

"And help Cesar survive." Monse finishes.

"Yes." Cesar agrees.

"Okay. So where we meeting?" Jamal asks.

"My dads coming home this afternoon." Monse brought out.

"Okay so we cant do it at Monses. My house is pretty tense post dig debacle, and Cesar never hosts."

"I cant, Luis and Jacky need to rest. Plus, Jamal is scared of Willy." I said.

"That is true." Jamal nodded. We all looked at him. "What?! He goes by the name Lil Diablo! Probably the ghost of Chico still roams the house."

"Seriously?" Monse looks at him.

"So Ruby, its you."

"No. Your mom doesn't want me around." Cesar shakes his head.

"Oh my moms got a job all week, so we're good." Ruby told him. "My house after school." We all agreed. Lunch ended and we had to go to class. Jasmine come up to me and Ruby.

"I got your dessert! I had to fight a bitch to get the apple pie." She pulls out her inhaler.

"Thanks?" Ruby said as he was handed the slice of pie.

"So Ruby, with all these girls up on you, why wont you ask one out?" I looked down. Ruby took notice.

"Im not interested in them." He told her.

"Why not! They are all over you!"

"Because they're not my type." Ruby rolls his eyes. I stood there as they talked.

"Well-" the warning bell rings. "Byeee!" Jasmine runs off.

"Because they're not you." Ruby finishes. I blushed.

"Should we tell her that we're a thing now?"

"When its the right moment." He kisses my cheek. "Have fun."

"Oh i will." I walked in class and sat down. It was just a boring day. As the day went by, school ended. Ruby and walked home. We made to his front yard. "Wait!" I grabbed his shirt. I button up his shirt. "There we go!"

"We have to move the money!" Jamal stresses out. We sat around the table, with abueltia, as she counts her money.

"I cant be the keeper alone. Its not safe." Jamal sits down.

"Abueltia, I reserved the table for a two hour block." Ruby told her. "Did you not see my note on the fridge?" She didnt give to shits, she was writing down the money.

"Its fine. She knows about the money." Jamal told him ruby backs up, he lets it slide.

"Okay. Well since we found the money, ive done copious research."

"This is why we're best friends." Jamal said.

"Your best friends?" I asked.

"Yeah, you guys get to make out, we get to be best friends. Its a trade off, think it like, custody, you get him on the weekdays and I get him on the weekends. Bestie present." He throw his fist up. I shook my head. Thats not how that works. Ruby opens his notebook and showed us the page. My eyes widen, everyone, including abueltia, laughed. The page said,

"Jamal, your dad literally owns a business." Cesar speaks out.

"No way. My dads super particular about the books. It would never work. But what if we started our own business? Hows Rubens Fancy Festivities coming along?" Jamal asked Ruby.

"At least three years away from launch, pending a silicon beach cash infusion." Then abueltia started to add up her money.

"Seven twenty." Monse said.

"Ah! I put down too much." She laughs.

"Hello?" Ruby answered his phone. "Cool. Gotta go. I dont know! Average?" He then hangs up. "Val, measure my neck." I frowned.

"Okay, no. You need to give me your phone." Jamal reaches out to take his phone. "This is not a joke. We're trying to move the money, and you're here playing twiddly thumbs with Jazmaspaz. Just dont text her back."

"As if it were that easy!"

"Val, Control your man!" Jamal points at me. I shook my head.

"I have a moral obligation to reply."

"Or what? The universe is going to strike you down?"

"Maybe! You know what? Im calling it for today. I think we're hitting a wall." Oh thank god. This wasn't going anywhere, anyways. "Lets reconvene tomorrow after a good nights sleep." Jamal throws Rubys phone at him.

"Take your damn-" we all left. I went straight home and laid in bed.

"How's your day?" Willy asked me as he knocked on my door, he had Luis in his arms.

"Something else." I huffed. He sat on my bed, rocking Luis. "Okay listen."

"Okay here we go." I sighs.

"So im pissed right! Every girl is on Rubys dick!"

"Hey!" He hates when I swear, but he sometimes lets it slide. It kinda slipped out.

"Sorry, they're all up on him because he's got a bullet wound. It just makes me mad because they just think its so hot and so manly, but what they didn't know what he's been through, and what Ive been through!" I threw my head back. "Im so mad."

"Screw them. You're with Ruby, they aint." He was right.

"They call him bullet boy. And I swear i will attack the next person." I laughed.

"We cant get prefect Valeria in trouble now."

"Oh shut up." I pushed him gently.

"Goodnight, okay. See you tomorrow." I gave Luis a kiss and they closed my door.
