Hero Association Headquarters
"This is Sitch, leader of the 'earth is in danger prophecy emergency measures team'. I never imagined you would come."
The middle-aged man with a bulbous nose and gray hair, stood on the podest in front of many underground delinquents that gathered here and waited for the minister officer of justice for the Hero Association to continue his speech.
"I'm deeply thankful that denizens of the underworld would answer my call."
Beads of sweat formed on the forehead of Sitch when he looked at the large crowd of criminals that stared at him. Most of them were curious, while the others just wanted to start a fight.
"Many of you have a high bounty on your head. Yet you came without hesitation to Hero Association Headquarters in the faith that we would not apprehend you." Even when the man was nervous, he kept his serious demeanor. "I assure you this is not about your criminal histories or illicit activities. This isn't a trap, so please just listen."
The criminals still weren't really convinced yet, but still seemed to listen to what Sitch has to say. "Do not mind the heroes present as bodyguards."
And the murmuring under the crowd started.
"Heroes?"
"Yeah! I'll kill 'em! Hya Ha Ha!"
"They won't act unless necessary."
"What say we take over the place? Heh heh!"
The heroes that Sitch was talking about, were standing next to the podest and looked at all the criminals. Quiet unsure themselves why exactly this was happening. They were just asked to guard Sitch, no more and no less information.
"Wanted men, top assassins, arms dealers, mad scientists and prison escapes..." Said the young man with short black hair and dark eyes. He wears a dark blue Kung Fu suit with white trimming.
"Yes...why would Sitch invite them here?" Questioned the man right next to him, who wears a cape, mask, and a Magician's top hat. He is accompanied by a pet Pigeon who perches on his left shoulder.
"I dunno, but for perps to come strollin' in here...talk about disrespect!" Spoke the next hero now. Class A, Rank 5 Heavy Tank Loincloth. He is a very tall and extremely muscular middle-aged man, who has a large mustache and dark hair that is styled in three points. He wears a simple light-colored loincloth.
The two other heroes seemed as confident as him, especially since they are high class heroes and a lot stronger than the delinquents in this room.
So did the first one say his threat. "I'll burn them to cinders at the slightest move." Class A, Rank 6 Blue Fire.
The second one agreed. "Me too." Class A, Rank 7 Magicman. "Either way, we can't pass this up. We'll deliver justice when this is over."
Sitch kept his professional persona and tightened his red tie. 'With three upper-rank Class A heroes here...no one will cause any trouble.' So he thought.
With a short breath, he started talking again. "Now let us begin. Please look at the documents provided."
But before they could get further into business, a voice from the crowd interrupted them. "Wait"
All the attention drifted to the male that spoke and curious murmuring started again.
"Where's the hero Saitama, doesn't he live in this facility?" The slim young man with an androgynous appearance questioned impatiently, clearly not here for the actual reason of the meeting. His long black hair was tied up in a topknot and under his grey eyes were purple marks, a noticeable feature from the ninja.
Sitch furrowed his eyebrows at the question from the man, but brushing it quickly off since he had more important stuff to do. "Please wait until later. This is important."
Clicking with his tongue in disappointment, the man tilted his head a bit higher. "He isn't here? Then I'm leaving."
With this, he angered the heroes and especially Blue Fire, who pointed a Finger at the ninja with a hard stare. "Without listening to the presentation? I won't let you!"
Clearly unimpressed, the villain looked back down at the papers in his hands before tossing them carelessly in the air. "Level Tiger or higher disasters are increasing. This month, the rate is six times the last three years' average."
Sitch eyes widened when he heard what the man said, looking at the papers that weren't supposed to be in his hands.
"Are these omens of the danger foretold by the great seer Shibabawa or has it already begun?"
The minister officer of justice choked on his own spit from shock. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead. "Y-you!...I didn't pass those out! How did you--"
But Sitch just got interrupted from the bored male. "If strong monsters and catastrophes keep arising, the heroes won't be able to keep up." The papers were still floating through the air while the ninja spoke. "The prophecy said the greatest disaster in history will occur within six months and clearly it hasn't passed. Even Class S Heroes are already busy, but threats keep coming up, so you're shorthanded."
The crowd of criminals was completely silent while listening to the speech of the unknown man.
"In other words...in the increasingly intense fights to save humanity that lie ahead...you want help from people both good and bad who know how to fight." A smug smirk formed on the lips of the male. "Does that sum it up? Well, I refuse."
He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his pants and looked from the crowd up to Sitch on the podest. Scoffing at him and the heroes. "The thought of playing heroes with you losers nauseates me!"
And with that, he turned around to get going. "I'm leaving."
Even the heroes were now shocked, while veins popped up the forehead from Blue Fire. "Is what he said true?!" He screamed to Sitch. "You want this scum's help?! Is that the Hero Associations decision?!"
"YES!" Sitch gave up on his act and looked now completely stressed. "IF HUMANITY DOESN'T BAND TOGETHER IT WON'T SURVIVE THIS!" Screamed the leader back in heavy distress and a look of terror on his face.
And he continued on with his speech. "There are 390 Class C, 101 Class B, 38 Class A and 17 Class S heroes here...and they clearly aren't enough! I shouldn't call upon thieves and assassins..."
A few men in the crowd looked dumbfounded, others irritated or carefree. Even one of them popped his bubblegum.
But Sitch didn't take a mind on it. "...but many in the underworld possess a hero's strength! And I don't ask this for free, we'll pay you for defeating monsters." The desperation in his voice was loud and his panting just underlined the tone of it more.
Heavy Tank Loincloth wasn't quite fond of the idea and made sure to voice it out. "That's a waste o' moola. In a pinch...these numbnuts ain't worth spit!"
One of the criminals landed next to him and pointed a knife at him, not appreciating the way the hero speaks about them. "Watch it, old dude! I done more killin' than you I bet!"
'oh really? That's because he's a hero you dumbfuck' would have Selene said if she were here.
"Wanna try me?"
The little threat from the slim man wasn't a very good decision, because the hero stomped him to the ground in the next moment. With a dark expression and veins popping out of his face. "I don't trust these slimebags!"
Blue Fire and Sitch looked at him and blinked. "But considering the scale of the impending disaster..."
"Okay, sure fine!"
And another voice interrupted Sitch on this night.
"The great prophecy is spot on!" The corners of his lips were turned upwards while speaking loudly. His eyes fixed on one of the papers he picked up from the ground. "That great seer sure does rock! She foresaw an unprecedented catastrophe of threat level god!!!"
The man speaking- or better saying the boy, had sharp yellow eyes and silver hair that was spiked up in two prongs, giving a feeling of a young wolf. With a lean muscular build, he wears a tight, black, long-sleeved shirt, loose-fitting white martial arts pants and a yellow sash around his waist.
Now all the attention on the mysterious young male, Magicman sighed and mumbled to himself. "Another crazy guy...guess the underworld makes people unhinged."
The eyes of the boy sharpened even more, just like his menacing grin when he let the paper fall and looked up. "Like the old dude said, it's a waste." His voice turned louder and more threatening. "All of you here couldn't kill me!"
"Huh?..." Sitch was at a loss for words. 'Look like I invited a nutjob...' was his only thought at the moment, wondering what's up with the young men interrupting this meeting.
"I'm Garou!"
It was him, the top former disciple of the S Rang Hero Silver Fang that no one knew of, but hell they would this night. The boy that Selene wished to fight against one day, appeared after nearly a year in the Hero Association Headquarters.
Bang would be furious.
"I admire baddies, so I've trained hard and destroyed many dojo!" Garou said, with a voice that was almost proud. But since he knew how strong he is, it was just a bliss of arrogance and power he felt.
Murmuring went through the crowd while Garou was now in the center of the room and the center of attention. Many were curious and also a bit confused. Even more after Garous' next sentence.
━"And I see a lot of prey here...for drawing out my strength!"
(a/n) he's here okAy- and now that I introduced Garou, the real spice begins :))
