"Hey grandpaps!"
"I'm not your grandfather."
"Yeah, sure thing grandpaps."
I closed the door of the dojo behind me after I entered it, landing on the floor because of an unknown force before I could take even a step further into the room.
"Take off your street shoes before you enter the dojo. That's the last time I'm telling you this."
Apparently, the unknown force was Silver Fang. The 3rd highest ranked S-Class hero of the Hero Association and my soon to be mentor- without his agreement.
"Ow...you could have mentioned that to me a bit nicer you old geezer- Oh no, my Lolly!" I looked at my favorite addiction that was now scattered all over the floor in tiny pieces.
He sighed tiredly. "I already did it a several times."
Well, it's like that; instead of learning for school I was more interested in learning the wisdom of martial arts.
But since the dojo is full with some pumped up boys, there wasn't any room for me left; what doesn't mean that I wouldn't continue to try my luck.
"Are all your disciples outside?" Within seconds, I had a new Lolly in my mouth and took my shoes off before standing up.
He was standing in the doorway that leads outside to the training ground. I joined him and lurked around his back to look at all the topless males that were standing in perfect lines, moving their bodies in sync.
"Yes. If you want to watch again, stay at the back."
I knew Bang for quite some time and he was at least kind enough of letting me watch his lessons in the shadows.
"Why can't I just train too with them?" I whined, stamping my foot onto the ground. "That's so unfair old man!"
"You're even more childish than your little brother."
"Pfft...I'm just complaining because you're not willing to train me because iM a giRl and tHeRe ArE tOo mAnY diSciPlEs-"
"Complaining like a child."
"You're a cruel old man."
He sighs in amusement and shakes his head. "I'm sure that you're already learning without my help and just imitate what you learn and see here."
My gaze switched back to Bang by my side and frowned lightly. "...But it's not the same thing if you would teach me these things. I would be a lot better than at least...20 of your students!"
A few seconds passed where he stared at me, before he just turns his attention away and starts to walk in the direction of the disciples.
Like every other day, I sighed in disappointment from getting turned down again and sat down on the floor near a corner to watch them train in silence.
I wouldn't show my irritation and just accepted it like how it was for now.
And instead of learning for math and doing my homework, I scribbled down some moves and techniques that I caught on. That's what I do until the training is over and make my way home.
There I wouldn't do my homework too and rather tried to imitate the moves that I learned from watching.
I repeated and repeated it, not giving up on it.
The next morning I would go to school and after that back to the dojo. Surprisingly, I get through school very well, even when I wasn't really studying. Then back at home again.
"Let me guess, Silver Fang turned you down again?"
I pouted at my little brother when I arrived at home, holding my myself back not to show him my middle finger. Mom and dad wouldn't appreciate it if did it again...
"You stink." Not a very mature comeback, but it was enough for me.
With my right hand, I ruffled through his hair and get myself something to eat before training.
━Not really a thrilling life but someday I will have my time to shine.
