..⃗.kat was sure that if she had a therapist they would conclude that her anxiety stemmed from her home life.mainly her mom.her parents divorced when she was twelve,ironically because her mom cheated with a family friend.which is something that makes kat's blood boil every time she goes to her mom's and sees that bald asshole she now calls her boyfriend.

so yeah maybe she was a bit fucked up?

truth be told she was a good person.genuinely.or at least she tried to be.maybe if life could just stop throwing curveballs at her she would actually be okay for once.

perhaps the saddest part is the fact that she used to make her parents proud.she was on the schools swim team,her grades where good,and she never did anything bad or teen like.her mind was wired to stay away from all the rebellious temptations the world had stored.all thanks to her strict father.

but as she got further into high school she finally gave in.accepting defeat from all the high school bullshit she swore she would stay away from.

alcohol worked for a while.it was fairly easy to acquire it to since her family was full of asshole alcoholics.so when she decides she needs something stronger, if she wants to stop the constant overthinking, she turns to no other then her neighbor stanley barber.

as it turns out kat finds that shes not the only one with a screwed up life looking for a way to get a few moments with a numb conscious.one things leads to another and stanley proposes a deal.friends with benefits?what's another coping mechanism to add to her list.it seems perfect,a no strings attached deal.a best friend she smoked with,laughed with,and occasionally did it with.

but if kat doesn't want a relationship then why dose she loathe the idea of stan liking sydney novak?and in the end shouldn't she remember that good things never stay in her life for long ?˚ ༘ˀˀ
