magical

1 year later

The two men lay on the beach underneath a dusk sky, the horizon graduadly turning a firey orange as the sun lowered from the sky.

The crashing waves formed a pleasant lullaby, and Jungkook chuckled when he had to nudge Jimin to keep him awake for the tenth time already.

"Did you enjoy your birthday babe?" Jungkook asked as Jimin snuggeled up closer against his chest.

He pulled the blankets they brought with them a little further over the boy's body when a chilly breeze made him shudder.

"It was lovely," Jimin said with his eyes contently shut. "It was nice seeing Jin and Namu again... with us traveling for work all the time our schedules are so packed..."

Jungkook hummed. "I know babe... but the movie I'm shooting is almost done... after that I'll take us on a holiday."

"Well I am going to Paris next month... we could make it into a fun trip!" Jimin suggested as he looked up at his boyfriend. "Kookie I'm going to buy a whole supply of macarons it's going to be so exciting!"

Jungkook chuckled at a low volume and rubbed Jimin's arm to warm the man up a bit more.

"I'm happy your happy," he said, sniffing as the salty oceanwind made his eyes tear.

"Ofcourse I'm happy," Jimin said softly, taking Jungkook's hand to press a loving kiss against it.

"I haven't given you your birthday gift yet though..." Jungkook said mischieviously, though his plan at making Jimin curious failed.

"I have you... you are enough," the man said, cuddeling Jungkook even more.

Jungkook's lips edged up. He really did have the most amazing boyfriend.

"Babe," he said after a moment of silently hugging and listening go the sea. "Is if okay if I wish Minnie a happy birthday too?"

Jimin stayed quiet for a while before reluctantly looking back up at Jungkook.

"But I like it here with you," he said with a pout.

Jungkook smiled. "I know baby, I'll make it quick."

Jimin whined quietly before giving in. "He won't just show up though. You have to trigger him."

Jungkook huffed. That wasn't hard.

The man licked his lips and smiled smugly, grabbing Jimin's chin to look him deep in the eyes.

"If you don't come out I'm burning your leather jacket."

After the smallest of moments Jimin's eyes turned dull, and then they looked around with interest before falling back on Jungkook.

"There you are," Jungkook said with a soft smile, stroking the side of Minnie's face when the man's lips parted in suprise.

Over the course of Jungkook's relationship with Jimin, Minnie barely had time to come out, and whenever he did, Jungkook was sure to treat him with the same love he gave to Jimin.

"Congratiulations," he said fondly, placing a gentle kiss against the filter's forehead.

"Birthday?" Minnie wondered, looking up at Jungkook with curious eyes.

"Yes," Jungkook chuckled. "You didn't know?"

Minnie shrugged. "Forgot."

The filter held onto Jungkook as he turned his head to the ocean, becoming entranced quickly when he peered at the sunset.

"I took Jimin here as a suprise," Jungkook explained. "Do you like it?"

Minnie bit his lips and looked away quickly. The filter still wasn't used to giving his opinion, but Jungkook had learned that if he pushed Minnie hard enough, he would form atleast some kind of vague perspective.

Jungkook and the therapist had come up with a plan to keep urging Minnie to give his opinion on something when he was out, no matter how small, so that one day, maybe, he would even be able to say when he didn't or did like something that was done to him.

"You think it's pretty?" Jungkook asked the boy as he curiously cocked his head.

Minnie whined quietly as if he was forced to go against all his principles.

"Ugly then?" Jungkook suggested with a grin.

Minnie glared at Jungkook and shook his head almost unnoticabely.

Jungkook would have to be satisfied with that, because that was the clearest answer he was going to get.

"You know... I haven't actually given Jimin his gift yet," Jungkook said as if he'd only just realised it.

"Are you going to fuck him?" Minnie asked as he looked at Jungkook, his hand immediatly finding Jungkook's crotch.

Jungkook cringed and removed Minnie's hand. "No, that's not the gift" he said, feeling like he needed to discipline a stubborn child.

"My gift needs two blessings," he said with a smile. "One from Jin, and one from you."

Minnie seemed to think about it for a moment.

"A... threesome?"

"That's righ- wait what? No! Not... Jin is your brother!"

Minnie looked at Jungkook with an expression that told him he really couldnt care less and it made the hairs on Jungkook's back rise.

The man tried his very best not to seem unnerved by Minnie's statement and erased it from his mind.

"I've been thinking about this for a while now... and I've been waiting for the perfect moment," Jungkook said as he made Minnie lean against his chest again.

"We have a nice home, stable jobs, we're happy, we're healthy..."

Jungkook took a deep breath and exhaled as if there wasn't a single worry on his mind. Who'd thought he'd ever get to that point?

"I don't think there will ever be a better time to ask Jimin to marry me..."

Jungkook felt his heart swell while merely just saying the words.

"What do you think?" He asked, beyond curious as to what the filter would say.

The man knew Minnie never really cared about what happened to Jimin, and this would probably not be an exception. But Minnie was in a way a protector of Jimin, so Jungkook couldn't bear not asking him.

"It took you long enough..." Jungkook heard Minnie mumble quietly making the man lit up with the most amazed expression.

Did he hear that right!?

"Does... does that mean you're okay with it?" He asked excitedly.

Minnie stayed lying completely still against Jungkook's chest as if he were uncomfertable doing it. Jungkook had learned that if the filter wasn't allowed to do anything sexual, he was actually quite awkward.

"...If you want me to-"

"I'll burn the jacket I swear."

"I am," Minnie quickly said, leaning away from Jungkook to meet his eyes with an expression that made the man gulp.

"I am okay with... you marrying Jimin," He said quietly, biting his full lips with an insecure look Jungkook had never seen the filter wear before.

Jungkook instantly beamed with joy. "Are you serious?" He asked with the broadest smile he could carry.

Before Minnie could nod, the man grabbed the filter's face with both hands, and in a surge of excitement, he pressed a kiss onto Minnie's pretty lips.

Jungkook pulled away with widened eyes, terrified at what he'd done.

For so long he managed to keep his relationship with Minnie purely platonic, only pecking his forehead or giving him a hug every so often.

But this was the first time Jungkook had granted the filter a kiss.

Minnie touched his lips with his fingers as if he had trouble comprehending what just happened.

"You... you kissed me," he said softly, his beautiful breathy tone blending in with the wind.

Jungkook nodded slowly, deciding that there was no going back now.

"I'm sorry... if you'd rather not have me kiss you-"

"No! I..."

Minnie abruptly stopped speaking as if he'd suprised even himself.

"You what?" Jungkook asked as a smirk crept onto his face.

Minnie seemed completely conflicted and confused.

"Nothing..." was all he said after thinking for a moment.

Jungkook chuckled, filling his lungs with air before gathering all his courage.

"Minnie... could you please stand up?"

Minnie leaned away from Jungkook as if he'd been furiously commanded to do so.

Jungkook helped him stand even though it wasn't needed, and if the man looked close enough he could see a faint blush spread across the filter's cheeks.

Jungkook went down on one knee, reaching into the pocket of his hoodie to retrieve a small velvet box.

The cold and damp sand made his jeans a little wet but the nerves in his stomache were a big enough distraction.

"If you'd please let Jimin come back?" Jungkook asked, looking up at Minnie with a hesitant smile.

Minnie looked down at Jungkook as his eyes fluttering and for a small moment, it looked almost as if the filter was moved.

But Minnie didn't linger long before his eyes lost focus, and Jungkook saw him pull back to make a clear stage for Jimin to take the spotlight.

Jungkook felt his heart drop. This was going a lot quicker than he'd expected.

He gulped harshly and held the tiny box out in front of him with trembling hands.

He had Jin's blessing, he had Minnie's blessing, his parents absolutely adored Jimin the moment they met him, there was no reason for this to go wrong, Jungkook reminded himself as he kept taking steady breaths.

Jimin blinked a few times, getting used to his surroundings again before realising Jungkook was kneeling in front of him.

The man's eyes widened, and he flinched so hard he tripped over his feet and fell backwards in the sand.

Jungkook had to do his best not to laugh and grinned as Jimin stared at him as if he were a monster.

"My amazing boyfriend," Jungkook started as the sunset formed the man's backdrop.

"Two years ago, I could've never imagined myself to be so happy."

Jimin lay startled on the ground, fingers digging further into the sand as Jungkook spoke.

"I was an immature kid who wasn't familiar with love... but I wanted it badly. I wanted to know what it was like to be loved and to give love to someone else."

Jungkook focused on his breathing, staying as calm as possible as the words rolled off his tounge.

"And then I found you, who had the exact same desire."

Jungkook felt his eyes burn but kept speaking even as tears threatened to fall.

"You changed my entire world. From showing me to be more mature, to teaching me to be more careless. You turned my world upside down and brought me memories I will forever treasure. Jin always said that I was the best thing that happened to you my love... but you're the best thing that happened to me too."

Jungkook chuckled shyly when a tear dripped down his face, and he finally opened the tiny velvet box.

A silver ring docorated with a sparkling diamond lay neatly tucked inside the box, supported by a small pillow.

"Park Jimin," he said, smiling brightly at the stunned man on the ground.

"Will you marry me?"

Jimin covered his mouth with his hand, his wideblown eyes staring at Jungkook in pure disbelief of what was happening.

"K-kookie..." he said almost inaudibly looking like he was too scared to even move.

"Is this you getting back at me for when I suprised you with my integration?!" He yelled as tears started streaming down his face.

Jungkook grinned and his eyes crinkeled. "We've talked about it right? We're both ready... I thought why don't I take the first step?"

Jimin picked himself off the ground while looking completely disoriented.

"I... I'm so fucking overwhelmed right now," he nervously laughed with wet eyes, his expression a mixture of shock and happiness.

Jungkook patiently waited for the man's answer, his heart racing faster by the second.

"What do you say?" He asked as he pursed his lips with a hopeful look in his eyes, the wind making his hair dance and the sunset framing out his silhouette.

Jimin wasted no time before launching forward, taking Jungkook in his arms and making the man drop the ringbox.

"Yes! Ofcourse yes you idiot I love you!"

Jimin littered kisses on Jungkook's face as if he'd forgotten he was supposed to accept the ring now.

"Babe," Jungkook chuckled, picking the ringbox off the ground to give it to the greyhaired again. "This belongs to you now..."

Jimin gave Jungkook his hand and the younger delicately placed the ring on his finger with the proudest smile he'd ever worn.

The greyhaired made Jungkook rise to his feet and captured him into a deep kiss right away, holding his face close as they made out on the beach.

"You will now officially be mine," Jungkook chuckled when his forehead touched Jimin's, enjoying the magical moment with the greatest sense of relief. "Are you okay with that?"

Jimin bit his lips, his eyes turning to crescents as his hands dropped to Jungkook's waist.

"Ofcourse I am you idiot," he said with a warm smile Jungkook remembered an old loved one used to give him.

"As long as you're now officially mine as well."
