"But... that's no way to live. I don't even think that's healthy..."
Jungkook frowned when he realised something. Had he been Min's first kiss?
The student reached out to stroke the chell of Min's ear.
"You can't be happy living like that," he said, his voice calm yet serious.
Jungkook looked at the single window in Jimin's room and glanced at Minnie's leather jacket. "You need to let yourself be open to more than what you think you're meant to do. How much time do you even have for your hobbies? Time to just be you? You can't put yourself in a cage like that Min."
The shy filter started playing with his pen. "We were all created for different reasons Jeon Jungkook," he whispered. "Jim carries the trauma, Minnie deletes Jimin's value, Jiminie gives him back his youth, and Jay allows him to be reckless and without guilt."
Min pursed his lips. "I know my reason might not seem important to you... or to anyone else. But it caused my entire existence. If you want Jimin to integrate and for us to disappear you should be supporting me."
Jungkook flinched out of his thoughts. "I don't want you guys to disappear!" he said indignantly, feeling like his heart got stabbed when Min accused him of wanting to get rid of the filters.
"You took Jim to a therapist without even telling him. Why? Why are you so eager to make us integrate?"
Jungkook was a little confused. "Don't you think it would be better for Jimin?" He asked. "Jay said it felt pretty good not to have as much amnesia."
Min chewed on his soft pink lips. "Jiminie won't want it. Minnie definetly won't. And Jim... I don't know how truthful he is. He's always disliked Minnie. I don't think he'd want to become one with him. How are you gonna convince them?"
Jungkook pressed his tounge against the inside of his cheek. "One at a time," he simply said. "I'll find a way."
The student looked at the writing in Min's notebook and the way the ink was pressed into the paper as if the filter had violently forced it in.
"And I'm starting with you."
Jungkook grabbed Min's chair and pulled it away from the desk.
"Jeon Jungko-"
He grabbed Min by the waist and threw him over his shoulder with ease, smirking at the little whimper the boy emitted once he did.
"Jeon Jungkook set me down this instant!" Min yelled, pounding against Jungkook's back though his didn't come close to hurting the student.
"Nope, I'm kidnapping you," Jungkook stated, walking out of the room and down the stairs while carrying a protesting Min with him.
"Jin won't allow this," Min said, though here was clearly panick in his tone.
Jungkook huffed. "Ofcourse he will. Jin loves me."
~~~
"Jungkook why are you stealing my brother?" Jin asked as he saw Jungkook carry Min through the hallway.
"We're gonna have some fun," Jungkook answered, not seeing the need to give a further explenation.
"I am not authorizing this!" Min yelled, still struggeling against Jungkook as he tried to wurm out of the man's strong grip on his waist.
"We'll be back after dinner!" Jungkook announced before opening the door.
The student lingered for a moment after being met with the babypink sky outside. "Do I have your permission Jin?"
There was a moment of silence before Jungkook heard an answer.
"...yeah okay... just know that if you get into trouble again I'm gonna get really angry. And we don't want that do we Jungkook?"
Jungkook gulped, remembering the many wooden spoons that had already been thrown at him over the course of the last few months. "N-no..." he answered carefully, before fleeing to the outside world with Min still on his shoulder, who perked up and wiggled his legs when Jin allowed Jungkook to take him away.
"Wait Jin!-"
~~~
"Will you please put me down now!?" Min asked after around ten minutes of being outside.
Jungkook had to admit that he had nearly forgotten he was carrying the filter. He simply weighed so little.
"Where are you taking me? I could've been studying right now!"
Jungkook finally slid Min off his shoulders as he stopped on the sidewalk of the road and chuckled at the boy's distressed expression.
"We're going to a party," the student said, reaching out to fix some strands of the filter's grey locks behind his ear.
Min slapped Jungkook's hand away and tried to look as intimedating as he could.
"Take me home!" He said, though the filter shyly adjusted his glasses the minute he realised how unthreatening he sounded.
"Have you ever been to a party Min?" Jungkook asked, his lips perking up into a sly smirk.
Min averted his eyes away from Jungkook. "Jim is the only one that's been to a party before. It was for models so he could meet different agencies and such..."
Jungkook gave a curt nod and took a deep breath of the fresh evening air. "Then it's decided."
He looked down at Min and became entranced with how beautifully the firey sunset reflected in the boy's eyes.
He was so stunning. Jungkook couldn't believe that he was dating someone that looked like this. But he would never stop feeling sad that he couldn't date Min. Wasn't there a way for Jungkook to win him over? Something he hadn't thought of yet?
"I can't go to a party Jeon Jungkook," Min said quietly, placing his hands behind his back as he timidly grinded the top of his shoe against the tiled ground.
"Why is that?" Jungkook asked with a cheeky grin, cocking his head to find a way to meet Min's eyes.
"I just... I have homework and-"
"Nope," Jungkook interrupted. "I said we're gonna have fun tonight. That means no schoolshit."
Min rolled his eyes. "But-"
"N.O." Jungkook spelled, taking Min's wrist as he dragged the boy with him.
"But I'm not even dressed properly for a party..." Min tried to reason. "And where will it be held? Jeon Jungkook I don't want to go to a club or anything... Minnie could come out... please don't take me somewhere scary with flashy lights and music and darkness."
Jungkook chuckled fondly as he continued guiding the filter with him. "I promise this place will be wonderful. Taehyung has an art exhebition with his class in the park. I didn't take Jay with me because I didn't think it was his thing."
"And you thought it was mine?!" Min asked as he struggled to keep up with Jungkook.
"Well... actually... yes?"
~~~
"Jeon Jungkook~" Min kept whining as they reached the entrace to the park. "Please don't make me go. I've never been around many people before."
Min suddenly stopped walking, looking down at the ground as he hid his face from Jungkook.
"I'm scared..." he whispered, his voice soft like the pleasent evening breeze.
Jungkook looked back at Min and melted with sympathy.
"It's okay Min. I'm here. You'll never have to be afraid with me by your side."
He lifted the boy's chin and looked into the filter's watering eyes. "The world isn't that scary I promise," he soothed. "It's just very big and filled with people trying to find their own way."
He grabbed the back of Min's head and pressed his lips against the boy's forehead. "Just keep holding my hand and you'll be fine okay?"
Min wore a small pout and still seemed insecure as he met Jungkook's crinkeling eyes. "Are you trying to make me develop Stockholm syndrome?"
"Yes," Jungkook said, gently squeezing Min's hand. "Now let's go."
The filter looked hestitend, but the longer Jungkook wore a bright grin on his face while staring at the boy, the more Min's lips reluctantly curled up into a smile.
"That's it," Jungkook laughed, tangeling their fingers closer together as they made their way through the park.
The sky turned more apocalyptic as bright shades of yellow, red and pink painted the heavens into an immaculate piece of art, fitting in wonderfully with the canvasses on display at Taehyung's exhibition.
There were colourful fairylights hanging from the green trees that made the place look even more magical and Jungkook felt ecstatic that he got to bring Min with him after all.
"JK!"
Taehyung and a girl with brown hair and big blue eyes walked up to the two young men.
"I'm glad you could make it!" He said as he threw his hands in the air. "This is my friend Lois, she also has some paintings hanging here."
The girl waved politely but stayed silent.
"Lois Lane..." Min whispered quietly.
"Huh?" Jungkook asked.
Min's lips parted when he realised he'd spoken out loud. "O-oh... it's just... it's the name of Superman's love interest that's all... I'm sorry for speaking..."
Jungkook scrunched his nose at the way Min adjusted his glasses again.
"Don't apolgize," he said as he placed a comforting hand on the filter's shoulder.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool that you know that. My comic days are far behind me," Taehyung chuckled. "Anyway, Lois this is Jungkook, my roommmate, and this is Min, his boyfriend."
Jungkook loudly cleared his throat. "Well... actually we're just friends," he corrected, though it hurt him deeply.
Taheyung's face twisted in horror as if someone had died. "You guys broke up?!"
Jungkook had to try his best not to punch his best friend on the nose and forced himself to smile. "We never dated Taehyung. This is Min... remember? Just friends?"
Min glanced at Jungkook before speaking up. "I am also not a homosexual."
Jungkook shot his face towards Min looking miserable like a wounded dog. He was lying right? How could he say that? Not after they kissed like that just a while ago. Even just thinking about it still made Jungkook's cock twitch in his jeans.
"Really?" Lois asked, twirling a strand of her honey brown hair around her finger.
Taehyung and Jungkook simultaniously snapped their heads to the girl and then nervously glanced at each other.
"Well, there can't be a Lois Lane without her superman right?" The girl asked as she tried to be cute by shyly looking up through he lashes.
Min adjusted his glasses and his cheeks clearly flushed red. "I suppose you're right... is there anyone called Clark Kent at this party?"
Jungkook had no idea what was happening. Was this girl flirting with Min? Was Min letting it happen? Was Jungkook letting it happen?
"I don't think there is no..." the girl chuckled as she came a little closer to Min. "Maybe you can fill-in for superman tonight?" She asked softly, flirtatiously biting on her lips though she seemed uncomfertable doing it.
The girl pressed one of her fingers against Min's chest and slowly started tracing figures. "Would you like that?"
You can't punch a girl in the face, Jungkook's brain kept reminding him as his burning eyes stayed locked on the girl and her hopeless flirting tactics.
His fists were balded so hard he felt his nails dig wounds into his flesh. Mine, he wanted to say- no scream. Jimin was his. His boyfriend, every part of him, there couldn't be any competition, if he couldn't date Min no one could. He deserved to make him happy, he deserved to be the reason for his smile. He was prepared to give him everything... but maybe that still wasn't enough. Maybe because he was a man, maybe because Min just really didn't like him at all. But it stung like needles piercing into Jungkook's heart.
Jungkook hated how selfish his thoughts were. Min was seperate from Jimin. Another person. He had no claim to him at all. They were... friends...
Just because Jungkook loved him, it didn't mean he had to love Jungkook back.
The student couldn't expect that.
He took Min here to let him be happy. To let him feel what living felt like. He couldn't do that while holding his hand. He had to let him go.
"I think he'd love that," Jungkook said, biting harshly on the inside of his lip as it felt like he got kicked in the stomache.
Taehyung and Min looked equally surpised at Jungkook.
"W-what?"
"I'll show you the different art pieces around here. There are few which are really good... mostly mine," Lois said as she grabbbed Min's wrist to pull him along with her, ripping him away from Jungkook's grip on his hand.
"B-but-"
"Go on," Jungkook said as Min tried to reach for the student's fingers, clear terror in his eyes as the girl dragged him off. "Find your way," he said nudging his head towards Lois.
"I'll be right here when you need me."
