Chapter - 1

I thought I hated you so much that I never realize that you are the reason why my heart is awakened and my living.

"We were all made in the likeness of love, in the likeness of you, O Almighty God. Now bless these two people that are in front of you. So that they can walk as messengers of your Truth as they go through this life together, lead them in your wisdom and pour your light upon them." The priest pauses for a second before continuing after taking a deep breath. " Do You, Kim Taehyung, take Kim Y/N to be your loving wife, To have and to keep Beginning now, For better or for worse, For richer or for poorer, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Until you both are parted by death?" Once completed, the priest turns to face the groom and waits for him to perform his role.
The groom was dressed in an all-white tuxedo with a black necktie tucked into the collar of his crisp white shirt. The groom held his bride's free hand while staring at her. Up until he said, "I do," he had no expression on his face. He pauses and tightly closes his eyes. "In the presence of God, I make the following oath, I, Kim Taehyung, take you, Kim Y/N, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart."
"Now dear bride, In the name of God, Do You, Kim Y/N, take Kim Taehyung, to be your dear husband, To have and to hold From this day forward, For better, for worse, For richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Until you both are parted by death."
The bride is being watched by the priest, who is waiting for her to speak. However, the bride remained silent and continued to gaze at her feet. Everyone in the chapel was looking at her and began to talk about her in whispers while she remained silent. "In the name of God, Do You, Kim Y/N, take Kim Taehyung, to be your dear husband, To have and to hold From this day forward, For better, for worse, For richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Until you both are separated by death," the priest says after clearing his throat.
No words. The families on both sides begin to worry. Instead of speaking, the groom approaches the bride and tightens his grip on the hand he has been holding the entire time. The priest says those vows again while nervously smiling. The bride now makes a small head movement and gently raises an eyebrow toward the groom. "I...." She pauses, exhales deeply, and then approaches the groom. "I...Do...."
Everyone exhales with relief. In accordance with Divine sacred law, and in front of the Lord, the bride declares, "I, Kim Y/N, take you, Kim Taehyung, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart."
And everyone applauds joyfully, filling the chapel. Even though she is hiding her face with a veil, everyone can see her smiling as she turns to face the crowd. She then turns her head to look at her groom while wearing a dejected expression.
"Now you may Kiss the bride, Mr. Kim." The priest says smiling at the groom and the bride.
The bride turns to face the priest and proceeds to speak, but her veil has been taken off. Suddenly, a large hand grabs her slender, slim waist and drags her toward him. With his other free hand, the groom cups her cheek and quickly presses his lips on hers. The groom's hold on her was too strong, and the pressure he was applying to her while kissing her caused the bride to hold his arms hard with her free hands. The bride firmly shuts her eyes as tears build up in her eyes. Nobody was there to protect her and no one could see her tears or the misery she was experiencing.
The church's cheers, everyone's hugs, many smiles, and happy family members crying filled the chapel once more. Soon, the groom gradually separates his lips from the bride's. He holds onto her waist and cheek with both hands, gazing into his bride's eyes as he gently strokes her cheeks with his large thumb.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, you and your husband are now legally married." As she looks at her now-lawful husband, another tear leaves her eyes. Her husband didn't smile or speak to her; he just continued to stare at her.
But then he moves closer to her face and murmurs, "Congratulations MRS. Kim and..." He grins and lets go of her waist, leaning back and saying, "Welcome to Hell." The bride's eyes widened as she made a great effort to maintain her composure in front of him and the audience. He puts his hand in his pocket, but his expression conveys neither love nor happiness—only hate and wrath mixed with despair.
The bride was giving him a terrified and frightened look in return. Despite her trembling, she still manages to smile and nod to him. She says in a shaky voice, "Con... MR. Kim, congratulations to you as well." As she speaks, she glances at her feet. She wanted to cry and flee from him and everyone. He smiles and extends his free hand to her, saying, "Thank you, my Love." Without saying anything, she observes his hand before slowly raising her hand to grip his broad palm.
The groom suddenly grabs her by the waist, pulls her by the hand, and turns to face the audience, which was beaming widely at them—family, friends, everyone. "I appreciate you visiting on my wedding day. Today is the best day of my life, and you guys traveled great distances to bless and congratulate us. Please all remain with us in this manner until the very end, after which you may now enjoy "After saying that, he smiles bitterly before turning to face his married wife, who was wearing a fake smile while looking at everyone.
He was already tightening his hold on her waist the entire time. She didn't even hiss; instead, she just kept smiling and told herself that she had to put up with the pain since worse was yet ahead.
People slowly come up the stage and give the bride and groom hugs. Each person congratulates them properly and continues to wish them well. The family appeared to be very pleased with both of their children. Friends couldn't wait to make fun of them. The bride was standing there by herself and won't smile till someone arrives, but the groom smiles continuously. After leaving her there alone, the groom proceeded to visit his friends.
She didn't have any friends, and neither of her family members was available to support her. She was so completely alone that nobody ever noticed that she was crying there by herself. She needed someone for herself, just like everyone else, but she's had the bad luck to be held responsible for her mother's passing ever since her birth. That she is seen as a bad omen by everyone and she only brings misfortune to everyone. However, her father never accepted it and stood by her; as a result, God had to split them altogether.
Her father's best friend, who also wanted to support her, considered arranging for her to marry his older son. Given that he had watched the child grow up and experience all the negative and unpleasant events that had occurred to her up to this point, the man was kind to his friend's daughter. He had hoped that his son would cooperate, but sadly, his son chose to go against the idea of marrying a stranger, who only brings rotten luck. The son believed that she would just destroy his perfect world.
The son smokes, drinks alcohol remains up late, attends parties at clubs, and always seems to sleep with a new kind of lady each night. But the boy was consistently dutiful and professional with his work, so his father was unable to approach him. However, the father was aware that only that girl could persuade his son to behave well and quit acting like a spoilt brat. The only option left to the father was to force his son to wed an unknown girl.
Would the boy ever understand that the woman he married will one day drive him insane? And what will be the cause for his heart's eternal slumber within him? Will the young woman eventually lead a happy life in which she can fall in love and that person will value and cherish her? Will he protect her in the same manner that her father did? Will she eventually experience good fortune and receive all the happiness she deserves?
