Chapter III
Utter disbelief comes crashing
down on you. Here you stood,
in a game world with a so-called
goddess in front of you. It somewhat
felt like a relief of sorts for now
there was no burdens for you to
hold on to...
Freedom was now yours.
The woman giggled.
"Now, now, silly little mortal, your disappearance occurred only a few
moments ago in the real world,
but you are not dead! Being the
wonderful goddess I am,
I thought why not let you experience
what you've always wanted to!"
You step back slowly.
I didn't die but I'm here?
"Yes! To sum it up!"
"Wait you can hear my thoughts?!"
She nods and her eyes slowly widen.
"I almost forgot! My name is. um- well
I can't give you my name cause I myself
seem to have forgotten for you see,
I was once a renowned goddess but
now no one cares for me and
I have no worshippers.-"
"Your name is Freya."
The words come out of your mouth
with clarity as you remember her
name from the book. She leaps forward
and grabs your hand, spinning you around.
"Yes! This is why I summoned you!
I heard your prayers, you wished for
me to take you away even if for a little while.
So, I thought of giving you a chance to help change your fate!"
According to the book; she was a
glorious being but soon her shrines
were broken apart and turned to
ruins when the gods had forsaken
her, all because she had fallen in
love with a mortal.
Her smile fades for a brief moment
as she lets go of your hands.
She steps back and plasters on a
wide smile once more.
"I shall send to back a few moments
before, but remember, I cannot reverse
time again to make sure you use all your memories to make everything right. You
have all the skills of the main character. Everything at your disposal. Live the life
you've always wanted to Y/N. Once the
game is complete I will send you back
if you want to! And don't forget my offerings-"
She waved as the fog enveloped
you once more. You close my eyes
and feel the fabric beneath your hands.
You open your eyes and step down
from the bed, You walk towards
the mirror and look at yourself.
'I'm stuck here till the game is complete. But... if I broke it will I be sent back?"
Thoughts continue to race in you mind.
But, now you were determined to
break the story. You wanted to go
back home. For, the character you
played as was the princess who in
the future becomes the queen,
only the kingdom in a few years is
filled with misery and death. A kingdom
bought to ruin by her own foolish hands.
In the end she did deserve death. A horrible
ending and you wished to change it all.
The story takes back the princess in
time to change. To fix her mistakes
from the beginning but she doesn't do it.
Now all of it falls on your hands.
You need to break the game. You know
the story so why not do what you need to.
A smile forms on your face. Let the game begin!
***
You hear a knock on the door.
" You may enter."
Use the same dialogues as the princess; the
best way to play the part.
Anne enters the room with a serious
look on her face she bows down
to her knee, lowering her head.
"Lady L/N, My name is Anne Fairing,
I have been currently assigned as your
personal guard to take care of your
well- being , I am to be your shield
and sword when the time is right my
lady. I hope to be of proper use
to you when the time is right. "
The game seems to have been
changed to use your name.
" You may raise your head Anne. "
She slowly stood up and you walk
closer to her a bright smile
on your face. You wrap your hands
around her in a tight hug.
Checking if she wasn't just pixels.
"Your highness what-"
You let go of her giggling at
the puzzled look on her face.
'Let's have some fun while I'm here i guess.'
" I hope you can take good care
of me and be there whenever I need
you Anne, and you can call me Y/N."
Her eyes widen and she falls to her knees.
"That I cannot do my lady!
What will the people think!?"
"That you are my friend.
You need not worry about
what people think Anne, I will
make sure no one will disrespect
you nor will any harm come to you."
In the book, at this very moment,
the princess would be getting ready
for the day and didn't bother to even
look at her when she came to her.
She followed her everywhere the
main character went, made sure to
clean every mess she made after a
fight, bore all the things thrown at
her during tantrums and so much more.
To sum it up. The MC was horrible to her.
But you wanted that to change for her.
Even if temporarily....
She dies in the hands of the main character.
Only to find out later she was never a traitor.
Bits of the story flash in your head
and that's when it clicks. You figure out
the way you can immediately break
the game. Save the first one who dies.
The sister. The plot unfolds from there.
"Anne! We need to leave now!"
You run out the door followed
by Anne closely behind you.
" Where are we going my lady?!"
I don't have time to explain to her. I need to find the sister first!
You make to the entrance of
the pearly white mansion.
The entrance had large engraved
doors with the symbol of the
fictional kingdom surrounded by
paintings of previous kings and
their families, hung on the walls.
Exactly how you imagined it!
Your 'sister' is Dina Lucas, stood
at the entrance, the first princess of the kingdom, a 24 year old, brunette
haired lady with dark brown eyes.
Her husband, Duke Vargas, a 26
year old blonde man with blue eyes,
stood next to her while the father,
King Lucas, stood in front of them.
Your 'sister's' eyes dart toward you and
she waves as you walk closer to them.
Above their heads displayed the
names as a pop-up.
It seemed the last names
were changed to yours.
"Y/N! We we just about to leave!
Did you come to say goodbye to
your dear sister?"
She walks toward you and wraps
her arms around you.
"Dina, you need to stay!
Don't leave me!"
"Oh my? But last night you said
you couldn't wait to get rid of me."
I know what happens to you...
I cried when I read about it in the book.
" I'm sorry about last night,
I didn't mean to fight with you."
Tears swell up your eyes when you
recollect the fact that the main
character wishes for her sister to die
since she was leaving her during a
dinner ball that took place. The next
day she received news that her sister
had died in during her journey, her
soulless eyes wide open covered with
a veil, surrounded by blood soaked flowers, killed by bandits that hijacked the carriage
she rode in. Such a vivid and gruesome
thing to imagine; to be killed
by someone you loved... For it was not
bandits that kill her, rather it was the Duke.
" Y/N, don't cry for that, it's okay!
I'm not mad at you!"
She wipes away a stray tear that
falls down your cheek.
You hesitantly take a step back,
grabbing her hand.
"Do you really need to leave right now?
Surely you can stay a while sister."
Your grip tightens, if you let go the
story would begin but on cue the guard announces that the carriage is ready.
Dina loosens your grip around
her arm and places a gentle kiss
on your forehead. A sweet gesture.
"How about you come visit us
a few days later? I promise you
I'll buy you everything you want
at the market."
I can't tell her. But I want to...
I want to save her. I am not of this
world, I was given a chance for a
reason and if this indeed a life I'm
trapped in after my death..
I wish to try to save as many people even if...
You watch as they step inside
the carriage, waving goodbye as
the horses begin pulling it.
You hear footsteps behind you.
Anne stands still; You grab her hand
and run towards the stables. When
entered this world, just as the goddess
had told you now had all the skills
of the main character which
also included the memories of the princess.
{ Author Note: I know everyone is probably screaming the fact that
Geto isn't here yet but; he already was, well sorta-
For now, you get the freedom to imagine where he might end up....
I'm sorry if this isn't what you were looking forward to.}
