chapter one,
THE HYBRID
βββ FOURTEEN YEARS LATER... HYDRA had secured the most precious thing known to a man. His son. But in this case, a Stark HYDRA's enemy.
Fourteen year old Osiris Stark was tossing and turning in his cell as HYDRA Agents watched from video cameras of their lab.
"Any idea as to what our little miracle is dreaming about?" Strucker asked.
"I don't know," the HYDRA soldier replied to Strucker with a conveyed expression.
Osiris abruptly woken from another nightmare, the same one he's been reliving over and over again.
The nightmare consisted of the sky glowing in an emerald shade with a glowing figure floating. Destruction and chaos surrounded the figure. Osiris didn't know what it meant.
"My, oh, my. The baby Stark has awoken," someone spoke with a tone laced with sarcasm and cruelty all in one.
Osiris looked up and rolled his eyes to find Strucker standing outside his cell. Watching him.
"What the hell do you want?" The Stark boy questioned. Why did HYDRA want him? What was his purpose in this, and out of all the kids in the world, what was so important that they wanted him?
Strucker stared at the boy for a few minutes before he spoke again. "You've been tossing and turning in your sleep for a while now. Why is that, huh?"
Osiris spoke, his expression matching his tone with anger. "If I knew, I still wouldn't tell you. When I get out of this cell, all of you will have wished you never met me."
Strucker scoffed. "Oh, boy. You think you're so tough. I have the power here, not you, Stark Junior."
Osiris stared up at him through heated tears. He hadn't heard that name since before he was taken.
"I'm gonna ask you one more time. Why are you here?" Osiris spoke, loosing patience. As more time went on, the more his blood boiled, as if was a fire aching to be set ablaze.
"I am here to tell you to prepare yourself." Osiris was puzzled at what Strucker meant.
"Prepare for what?" he asked, his tone filled with curiosity and skepticism.
"We're gonna make you something stronger, faster, smarter, and finally ruthless. You'll be a killing machine," Strucker replied.
Osiris mentally questioned himself as Strucker walked away from the cell he was in. Who was that, was the billion dollar question.
As he was left alone again, Osiris had several thoughts running through his head, all talking at once. The voices were only getting louder and harder to silence.
He could only imagine the pain he'd feel, mentally preparing himself for it for God knows how long.
He fluttered his eyes shut and remembered something his dad told him, his voice echoing in his mind. He remembered it like it was yesterday. I love you, 3000, Junior, his father told him.
Osiris could only imagine the grief and panic Tony was going through, searching for his lost son. Osiris only hoped he'd see his father again. He missed him. He wanted to go back home.
Once he opened his dark eyes, he saw two HYDRA Agents standing above him. "Ready, Starky?" one of them spoke, harassing the boy further.
Osiris hated the names they called him. Especially Starky. It only made his blood boil.
However, he forced himself to calm down. He straightened up and stared them dead in the eye.
"Yes, I am ready. Now, let's go. I'd hate for Strucker to kill you for being late to my demise. Wouldn't you agree... Hydry?" He spoke with sarcasm laced in his tone.
The HYDRA Soldier glared with an expression of pure disgust but that made Osiris smile. The discomfort of his enemies would always make him smile or in this case, these little rats. HYDRA was beneath him.
The two men grabbed Osiris and led him to a room where strange equipment was set up. In the middle of this room was a bed, which the two men dragged him to.
Osiris was strapped down, but the odd part was that the Stark boy suddenly became calm. That was when the HYDRA men began to question themselves.
The fourteen year old felt a ting of pain radiate as one of the men turned to him with a syringe with a blue substance. He winced when it was injected into his bloodstream, and slowly, he went unconscious in the lab.

When Osiris woke hours later, he found himself back in that musty cell except he wasn't alone. With weakened eyes, he found Strucker at the foot of his bed as if he were waiting for him to wake up.
"You're awake," Strucker spoke, his tone laced with uncertainty. "That's a good sign. You just made history, boy."
History. Osiris was curious as to what he meant by that.
"What are you talking about, Lucifer?"
"Lucifer," Strucker chuckled, almost amused by the 14-year-old. "I've been called worse; The blue substance that we injected you with is the super soldier serum. Your father probably never told you about it, though, I'm guessing."
Osiris was left stunned. He didn't know what to say.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
Strucker replied with his tone and expression laced with venom. "Sure, you've heard about it, but I guess not so let me give you a history lesson. Shall we?"
Strucker then went on to explain the great legend that was Captain America. How he saved America in the 1940s from HYDRA with his brother, Xantheus Rogers, also known as Apex.
Lastly, he explained his least favorite person. Former Sargent James Buchanan Barnes.
"But you may know him as The Winter Soldier."
Osiris took in this new information in shock, but his expression stayed blank.
"That concludes our time. Bye, Little Destroyer, or in this case, Miracle."
Osiris was once again left alone in his cell, trying to figure out why he was given the Super Soldier serum. And what would happen next? He had so many questions and all of them were unanswered.

ONE MONTH LATER... was Osiris's birthday. January 14th, 2015. It had already been an entire month since he was taken from his father, Tony Stark.
In that one month, much has happened to him. Being turned into a super soldier for one, and much more.
When Osiris woke, he somehow knew what day it was, yet he hated it. He usually didn't, but he hated his birthday today because he was away from the one person he needed most. His father.
Abruptly, pulling from his thoughts, his cell door opened to the man he hated the most in the world. Strucker.
"Hello little miracle. You know what today is, right?" he questioned the boy.
Osiris's brown eyes stared Strucker down hatefully as well as the HYDRA soldier to his right. If looks could kill, these two men would be slaughtered.
"Why are you here?" Osiris questioned. "Huh? Answer me, damn it!" His voice echoed through his cell with such anger and force behind his words.
Strucker flinched at the boy's tone, which was slightly surprising.
"You're being moved," he said. "I have a surprise for you, but you can't see what it is. Not until I'm ready for you to see it."Β And with that, the HYDRA solider with Strucker knocked out Osiris, or at least thought he did.
The solider holstered the Stark boy over his shoulder and walked through the facility with Strucker, taking him to his new cell. There his surprise, or surprises, were waiting for him to finally arrive.
When Osiris woke in his new cell, and dragged himself to his feet, he analyzed his surroundings. The cell had a clear glass view this time, instead of the old patted white walls he was in before.
He rubbed his sore neck as he spotted Strucker again. His irritation skyrocketed more.
"About time, Jesus," Strucker muttered and Osiris rolled his eyes. "I was thinking you were never gonna wake up; Remember that surprise I told you about?" He asked in a taunting baby voice.
"Yes, I remember dipshit," Osiris answered with his voice filled with irritation.
"Osiris Stark... meet your siblings," and Strucker stepped aside, revealing two other cells like his.
One cell, there was a girl with red hair, her hands lifted up with red magic glittering off of them.
The other cell, there was a tall, buffed guy, with white streaks in his dark hair. He was leaning against the wall, breathing heavily until he abruptly zoomed across the cell, leaving a light blue trail behind him.
Strucker looked back at the stunned look of Osiris as he finished, "Wanda and Pietro Maximoff."
Osiris stared at the two, his lips quivering, his brows furrowed as his mind raced.
"What?" he questioned.
"Twins," Strucker called out and the two looked over at him. The man then pointed to Osiris. "This is Osiris. The one I told you about."
The twins stared at Osiris with a confused expression, but that look was to mask the joy they felt. Their baby brother. They never thought they'd see him again.
Strucker looked back at the shocked Osiris and said, "Osiris, your name is Odysseus Rune Maximoff, not Osiris Arlo Stark." The boy didn't know what to say nor feel in this moment. It was all too much, and to make matters worse, the voices in his head started.
