Devon woke up, she got ready for work. She slips on her heels and goes and knocks on Isaac's door. She opens the blinds lightly, but the sun came in. He covers his eyes with the pillow.

"Come on, get up. Its your first day, you don't want to be late." Devon shakes him, tearing the pillow from him.

"Im up, im up." Devon closes his door for him to change. She starts making him a lunch. Do high schoolers even take lunch? She starts making him a sandwich, throwing in some chips and other snacks into the brown bag. Isaac comes out, putting his things in his backpack.

"Here you go." Devon walks up to him, handing him the bag. "I don't know if you like half of what i put in. I gave you some options."

"A lot of them i see." He looks at the full bag.

"That's probably not enough." Devon races to her bag and takes out a twenty dollar bill to give to him. "That should cover it right?"

"I wouldn't know, i haven't gone to a school in my life." They both laughed. Devon continues to run around the apartment, making sure Rush was feed, hair straightener was off, the normal routine. "Uh wheres Matt?" Isaac asks as he looks at himself in the mirror.

"At work, i think." The door opens. There was Matt, not at work, where he was supposed to be at. Devon pops out of the room and sees him. "I thought you had work."

"I told Foggy that I was coming in with you, so we can see our son go to school for his first day." He smiles. Devon shares this big smile, something she hasn't shown in a long time. "Should we go? I heard school traffic is bad." Matt takes Devons bag, knowing she'll forget and they all rushed out of the door.

"Wait, i forgot my-" Matt stops her snd shows her the bag. Devon kisses him. "What will I do without you?"

"Unable to live." She fakes a laugh. They got into the car and she drives. Isaac looks out the window, he sees the church Matt goes to, Oscorp that Devon used to work at and the old building firm that they used to have. After a long drive, it was time. Isaac was about to leave until Devon remembered.

"Wait!" She scrambles in her purse. She finds it and hands it to Isaac. "For you."

"What?" He looks at the phone that she just given him.

"It tracks you, you might be living a different life but we cant forget that you might be looked for." Matt turns to him. "It has my number, Devon, Foggy, Rivers and Karens. So if you need anything, call." He nods.

"Thanks, guys. I will see you at 3." He hops out of the car. He puts on his headphones and walks past the highschoolers, hands in pockets, head down. Devon tries to watch him make it inside, but everyone kept honking and yelling at her to move.

"He'll be alright. Hes safe here. You even broke in to see if the have any hidden spots." Matt assures her. That same night that they accepted Isaac, she snuck in and mapped out the place. "Hey." Matt grabs her hand, kisses it gently. "Nothing will happen."

"Youre right. Im just being a little obnoxious." Matt laughs, but shortly stops because he can feel Devons eyes burning into him. "Eyes on the road."

After a bunch of paperwork, helping with the statements, it was time to pick up Isaac. Matt needed the break and so went with her. They packed all of their things and drove back to get the teenager. Devon waited for minutes behind a car, also waiting to pick up their kids, she threw her head back, listening to the music in the car.

"Thai for dinner?" Matt suggested. "We had pizza last weekend."

"Can you go get it?" He chuckles a little.

"For you, anything." He kisses her cheek. The bell rings and a bunch of kids walked out. They started going in their cars, take the train, cross the street. Devon patiently waits. She wanted to hear from Isaac about his day. She was excited to hear about it. Cars came and go, less kids showed up and the panic started to kick in. "He's probably lost, it is a big school."

"I cant sit here." Devon takes off her seatbelt and gets out the car. Matt calls her back. She started to heavily breathe, looking left and right for Isaac. Her mind wondered and went straight to he was kidnapped again. But she stops and sees him talking to some boys in the sidewalk. Devon calms down. Isaac turns as sees her, all terrified and relieved. He frowns, what?

"Is that your mom?" Ned points at Devon.

"Yeah, she is." Isaac sighs. He wasn't embarrassed, he couldn't care less. It just hit him, even though she had him, he wasn't entirely safe and HYDRA is still out there, looking for their prized possession, him.

"She looks-" Peter goes but Flash steps in, swinging his car keys in front of the three.

"Hot. Gotta say Theo, start having her drop you off for now." Flash laughs. Devon nods, heads back to the car.

"Its Leo!" He yells back. "Sorry guys, i gotta go."

"Hey! Tomorrow Ned has this Indiana Jones lego set, want to come by after school?" Peter tells him.

"Uh i will let you know, but i will be down." Isaac waves and runs back to the car. The car was silent.

"I didn't mean to embarrass you. I just freaked out and -" Devon blurts as she drove away.

"You didn't. I should've known, i didn't think you would be here on time."

"Isaac, its fine." Matt tells him. "Its a high school, you have friends, it will happen."

Matt comes back from getting dinner, Isaac starts his homework at the table. Devon feeds Rush, and gets the wine.

"Devon, Matt." Isaac clears his throat, playing around with his pencil. "It's stupid." He changes his mind.

"No, say it." Devon says.

"The two guys from today, Peter and Ned, they invited me over tomorrow to build a lego set. Its fine, i don't think i was going to go..." Matt gently touches Devons leg.

"No, you can go." Isaacs picked up his head. She wanted him to have some memories, some fun. Melina and Alexei kept her hidden, she didn't want to do the same. "Just call me to pick you up." Isaac smiles. He bops his head as he wrote on his homework. Devon sips on her wine as Matt gets a call from Foggy.

"We will be there." Matt sighs. "We got a client, it's important. He won't say anything until we get there."

"What about me? Am I going?" Isaac asks.

"I can call River." Devon gets her phone out.

"How about I get a gun?" Both Devon and Matt slowly moved their heads back at Isaac.

"No." They both said.

"Okay, fair." He claps his hands, sits back. "How about a small one?"

"No." They said again.

"I guess if anything happens, ill throw my chemistry book at them, maybe they'll get a head concussion, and maybe he doesn't, i get to attack them with this ." He holds up his notebook. River comes shortly. Devon goes over the plan with him. He puts his hands on Devon, keeping her calm.

"Just go. You guys got a client." Matt and Devon head out, Isaac waving and smiling. Devon starts the car and drives off.

"Why cant he explain it on the phone? We are going in blindsided. Like whats this guys name?"

"Foggy said he didn't want to say anything but to take him in. He sounded scared."

"Whoever got him that scared, has to have a lot of power." Matt frowns. "What? You know im right."

"Be quiet." He shushes her.

"Matt, what is going on?"

"Stop the car." Just as he said that, the car exploded from under. The car flips and falls on upside down. Flames grew and both of them knocked out.
