60. new life part II

The next morning Isaac wakes up. For the first time, in a long time, it felt nice to wake up in a comfortable bed, not be awakened by alarms or soldiers pulling you off the bed. He gets out of bed opens the door. No sign of Matt or Devon. He walks around, they weren't anywhere. No note, not in their room. Nothing. Isaac panicked, he ran to his room. He hid in the closet waiting.

Devon comes back, bags full of groceries. If she wanted to keep Isaac safe, the beer and leftovers would not get by. Matt went to work early, so Devon went out the same time. Isaac was asleep so he wouldn't notice. She sets down the bags on the table and notices that his room door was opened. He wasn't around and she heard no movement. She quietly walked to her gun, which was under the coffee table, and pointed at the room. she scanned the room until Isaac comes out. Devon immediately flips him over, his back hitting the ground and her gun pointed at him.

"Son of a bitch!" I yelled at him as i noticed it was Isaac. "Dont you ever do that again! I could've killed you!"

"Maybe next time, you should leave a note saying you we're leaving." he groans as he rolled to his side to get up. "You know, getting away from HYDRA and being wanted isn't easy, especially when i didn't know where you were."

"It's barely 9. I thought i had time. Next time i will let you know."

"Whats all this?" He unloads the bags.

"Well, all we ever have in this fridge is beer so i thought it would be nice to stock up on some stuff." I pull out a few boxes of kraft mac and cheese. "You like these?"

"and this?" He pulls out hair bleach and green hair dye.

"We are going to dye your hair." I take the stuff from his hands. "A friend of mine will be coming tonight, he will help you change your identity. So that means, if we don't want you to be on HYDRAS radar, you have to blend in. Which means, you have to go to school." Isaac plops on the couch, groaning. "Its either that or get taken away again, and be tormented, your choice." I started to put the things away.

"Wheres your boyfriend?" He starts to look at the photos I had on a table.

"Matt is at work, he will be here later on." I began to cook breakfast. Isaac continued to look at the photos. He picked up the one where it was Natasha, Yelena and her. "Who are they?" I stepped out and hovered over him.

"Those are my sisters, we were in the red room together, Natasha and Yelena." I picked up a frame after another. "This is my twin brother, River. This is Foggy and Karen, who you will be meeting soon." Rush woke up and started to go near Isaac, happily and all. "If you need anything, please, let me know. I mean it."

"Thanks."

I already cooked some dinner, pasta and some chicken, which is all i know to cook. I pulled up a chair, had Isaac sit down and got ready to dye his hair. It brought back memories, I was in his spot when Melina dyed my and Natasha's hair.

I played some music that Frank gifted me and I added the green dye in. Matt walks in. He can smell the horrible smell of bleach.

"What is that?" He said as he kisses me hello. "Why does the place smell like bleach?"

"Well, its not for taking the blood off the clothes." I laughed. "Im dying Isaacs hair, i need bleach to grab the color." Isaac waves but forgot Matt is blind.

"you stocked up the fridge." Matt laughed as he grabbed a beer.

"How does he know? Hes blind."

"Remember that Mason is coming." Matt huffs, chugging his beer and grabbing another.

"What a fun night." Devon rolled her eyes.

"Who is this Mason guy?" Isaac looks at Matt.

"Someone who will lose an arm if he so does breathe her direction." Matt sits down, next to Isaac.

"He helps me and my sisters with things, new identities, places to hide, jets even." I start to add the green into his hair. She sticks her tongue out as she concentrates. He wanted his whole head to be green, so she didn't want to miss any spots.

"So what did you do when you were in HYDRAs base?" Matt turns to Isaac.

"Well you know, study, gave us normal lives. Best part was when we got to go to the movies and eat pizza." Devon stops and Matt sits there quietly. They did not. Right? "Im kidding, they made us train, do experiments on us. I wish i could watch movie though." Devon and Matt realized they had a sarcastic and a smart mouth in their hands.

"Experiments? Were you part of it?" Devon frowns.

"Dont you gotta like wash this off?" Isaac ignores.

"They test you how?" Matt stands up slowly. Isaac sighs.

"They had me chained onto a table, poked at me like some bear, and try to make me angry, but what really had them intrigued was that i didn't turn into one of their super soldier rat." Isaac stands up and goes to the sink. "Its been 20 minutes." Devon follows him and washes out the dye.

They sat around the living room. Devon and Matt talking about the new clients at work and Isaac sat in his room. The door knocked, Isaac jumps and peeked his head out of his doorway.

"Its Mason." Matt sips on his beer, getting bothered.

"How do you know?" Isaac walks up to Devon who was getting the door. "How does he know these things?" Devon opens the door and smiles at Mason, letting him in.

"Good to see you again." Devon makes her way to Matt. Mason stops and sees Matt. He can feeling him burn his soul every time he looked at Devon.

"What are friends are for." Mason laughs weakly and sets up. "This is going on your tab." He tells her.

"You can add it to Natashas, i know she owes you a lot, she wouldn't notice." He looks at her.

"She went AWOL. And if you think of adding it to Yelenas tab, good luck." Devon sighs.

"I just paid you off." Mason shrugs. "Fine."

"Why did you need a birth certificate?" Isaac appears, sitting down across from him. "Please don't tell me you kidnapped a child."

"Im not child, thanks. Im 16." Isaac corrects.

"I did not." Devon sits next to Isaac. "I just need him to be protected. Pretend hes mine." Masons eyes widen, and he types away. "I need it to look like he is mine." Matt, from a far, he heard everything. Devon really cared for Isaac.

"Okay well, we cant use your actual name, so what name do you want?" Mason asks Isaac. Isaac hums, thinking.

"Leo?" He types.

"So you want Leo Hobbs on the certificate or-"

"Murdock." Matt steps in. Devon turns as sees him standing behind them. She smiles to herself. "Leo Murdock." Mason just nods. Devon reaches out for his hand, holding it.

"16, which means high school, ill make up that you did same international school thing, you look like you would be a straight B student." Mason types away. He prints some papers, documents. "Want a marriage license too?"

"Uh not yet." Devon coughs. "Just waiting for the right time." He shrugs. Mason took pictures of Isaac, sending them to the phone and laptop.

"Documents are done, i will send you his passport and ID later this week for perfection." Mason starts to pack up. "Make sure you start telling people you trust about your new bundle of joy." It was just a handful, and Devon is on the fence about telling Karen. She knew damn well that she was going to tell her anyways because she Karen, and she is part of this.

Mason left, Devon cleaned and got ready for bed as she had to start looking for schools for Isaac and make him join society. Isaac was in his room, reading some books that he stole from the shelf and sat on his bed. Matt walks to his door, knocks gently.

"Hey." Matt gave him a small smile. "May I come in?"

"This is your place, sure." Isaac closes the book, sits up, letting Matt sit on his bed. "Whats up, dad." Isaac elbows him. Something in Matts heart changed. "I don't have to call you that if you don't want to, i can call you..." He thinks. "What do i call you?"

"Whatever you feel comfortable with." Matt smiles. He takes a moment to gather what he was going to say. "Listen, Isaac. Devon, she has gone through what you did, when she was younger. Dont think she will ever put you in harms way. She will do everything for you."

"Thats what I keep hearing."

"Devon, she is sweet and all, don't think because what you heard about the Red Widow, shes cruel, emotionless, evil, shes not." Matt sighs. "I never seen her this confident until she meet you. So, if she trusts you, so do i."

"Thanks, Mr. Murdock." Isaac smiles. He sees Matt gettin a bag from his side, placing the item on his lap.

"You cant tell anyone this. Devon knows, but you promise me not to say a word." Isaac nods. Matt reveals the Daredevil helmet from the bag. His eyes widen. The Daredevil. "Thats how I know things." They both chuckled. "Super advanced hearing and smell."

"Awesome." He bops his head. "I probably not to say a word."
