I came out of my motel room and saw Frank standing outside, leaning against the car I stole. He played with the keys and looks up at me. He signaled me to get in and I did. We sat in the car, a song from Nirvana came on.

"I Didn't you had a that emo chick phase. Or are you still on it?" Frank jokes. I shut off the radio. "Seems like you didn't grow out of it."

"Why are you here?" He starts the car and we drove off.

"You fell off the grid. Went to your place, nobody, no sign of your brother or your mother-"

"Leave them out of this."

"Woah, why so serious? What happened to the funny girl that jumped out of the air vent?"

"Now you want to joke around huh?" We made it to a diner, waked in the empty spot. We sat in a booth. "Why are we at this place? You'll be seen here. Is that what you want?"

"You're not hungry?"

"You buying?" He chuckled. "The neighborhood seems sketchy."

"Sorry I didn't choose one of the brunch places you rich people like. Ma'am!" He looks at the waitress. "Just get a little black coffee over here?" He looks at me. "Get me some dinosaur nuggets too please." I sighed and played with my hands. "Anything from the cops?"

"Really? No, they're done with the man chase. You're a free man." I whispered to him. "They want you dead Frank."

"They also want you dead too." He leans back. "Word was that the punisher and the widow are working together. She probably killed that DA." I licked my lips. The waitress comes by with the coffee and the nuggets. "Thank you."

"Anything else for now?"

"You know what, im gonna need about as much black coffee as this place would pump out. So just keep it coming." She smiles and left.

"Well, we aren't going to be working together. You are too stubborn and well, you are just plain annoying."

"Why didn't you kill me when you saw me? I pissed you off." I set my mug down.

"I didn't want to make it easy for you and me." I took a bite of the nuggets. "You owe me still for what you did. You're lucky that you got out."

"Does he agree?"

"Who?"

"Come on. Lets not play that game. The lawyer." I sat up straight. "Murdock."

"We all have differences. He goes by the law." I stutter on my words.

"What a couple. You love him, right?"

"Love is for children." He laughs.

"Dont lie. I see the way you look at him. They way you move when he talks, the smile when he does something right."

"You cant know that." I cant have him knowing my personal life.

"Im sorry what? You blush when he turns to you. You love him baby." I looked out the window. "I bet you think about him at night, wishing that it was you on the stand, or even maybe one day, late in the office, you guys just-."

"What me and Matt have, or what we do is not your business." I pointed at him. "I will not disclose anything."

"Maam can i ask you something? Do you guys always serve bullshit here or is it just her?" I scuffed and looked out the window again.

"Fresh pot." She ignored the question and walked away.

"Let me guess here. You were afraid to let him in, think you'll drive him away or get him hurt because of what you do, right? You hurt people and you push them away."

"Just stop this okay. Cut the bullshit. Why are we here."

"I owe you. Like you said." I picked my head up.

"Thats it? Thats all you wanted to say? This couldnt a call?"

"I killed the people who had something about your father death, i did that. I'll help you find leads. Im guess here that you will not be able to be happy until you find whoever did it, then live a happy life with the lawyer and have a family right? I would chop my arm off right here, in this restaurant, just to feel that one more time for my wife. My old lady, she didn't just break my heart. She'd rip it out, she'd tear it apart, step on that shit and feed it to a dog. I mean she was ruthless. She brought the pain. You remind me of her." I looked at my mug. "I help you and we will never speak again, if you want. Now you need to go in the back and get the waitress. You tell the cook and anyone else whos back there to find the biggest piece of stainless steel and you get under it. Go now." I knew something was going to happen and I wasn't going to question it.

"You're such an asshole." He smiles at me.

"See you soon, Devon." I rolled my eyes and head to the back. There was a back door they used to get out and i helped them. I watched Frank beat up 3 guys alone. I scuffed and headed out.

I stood outside of my room and used the payphone to call one number. The line rang a couple times until it went to voicemail. I banged my head on the box.

"Its me. You lied to me. You said he was died. Now he's back and has everyone trying to kill me. You better listen closely Natasha. I will find you and we will have a short conversation." I slammed the phone back and shoved my hands in my pockets. The door to my room was open, I knew what was waiting for me. I walked in and sat down.

"You've killed my best widows." Dreykov said.

"If they're your best, why couldn't they kill me?" He hugs me. I closed my eyes and my body shut down as I felt him around me. I couldn't push him away. I wanted to but I was too scared.

"Do you know why I love you more than the others Devon?" I didn't say anything. Tears started to form. "Because you are a bundle of chaos and destruction." He kisses my head and I flinched. "It's monstrous but it's beautiful." He finally pulls away and puts his hands on my cheek, aggressively. I cant cry in front of him. That's weak. Dont start crying. "You are my beautiful monster Devon."

"Im not a monster. Im not yours."

"Thats what you always are. What you are meant to be." He lets go and sees my reaction. He laughs. "Dont be so surprised, you're the one that did the killing, something sparked in you when you did." He gets behind me, whispers into my ear. "You will live your life with fear, i will come back when you least expect. I will watch your every move. I will continue to send my widows to kill you, and Matthew Murdock. you will not rest. No matter where you run, we will always find you. I did train you. There will be no way to stop me." He stops and looks at me. "So sad to see you like this. Prefect talent gone to waste. I trained you to be better."
