Wesley, Fisk and I walked in the abandoned warehouse where Fisk was talking Nobu about what happened last night at the docks. Nobu was furious about what happened. Acting like it was Fisk's fault.

"I understand your position. You need to understand mine!" Fisk yells as we stepped into the room. Nobu started talking in Japanese, i can understand bits and pieces. It was a hard language to learn. Wesley, per usual, translated back to Fisk.

"He questions the validity of your position." We head to the small table and I sat on top of it, watching Nobus every move.

"I say it is of piss and shit." Nobu speaks.

"Well im sorry you feel that way. Nevertheless, my point is valid."

"You made guarantees." Which were made. "The Black Sky is dead." The what now? To be honest, this wasn't even interesting, this had nothing to do with my father or the people who murdered him.

"You asked that the docks and your transit path be clear of police interference. Did you observe any police?" He looks down, saying no. "Of course no, because im a man of honor!"

"It will be difficult to locate another Black Sky. They are extremely rare." He looks at me. "I wanted her! Shes a widow, trained and skilled."

"Shes not going anywhere. She stays with me."

"Perhaps you shouldve told him the importance of this, black sky." I leaned back, talking. Wesley gives me a death look. "Before you know, lost it." Nobu glances at me, angry that i spoke. As if I was scared of him. He speaks again but to Fisk, not looking away from me.

"Hes asking if you'd like go renegotiate the terms of your relationship."

"Im... sorry if I offended you. My apologies." Nobu was mad, speaking to Fisk but Wesley stopping him. Nobu walks away from us, leaving. Wesley takes off his glasses and sighs after that heated argument.

"Want me to kill him?" I asked Fisk. "He needs to taught some manners."

"No." He straight up tells me. "Leave it alone."

"For the first time, I agree with Devon. If the Russians had spoken to you this way-"

"They aren't the Russians."

"No. The Russians actually contributed. Lelands financials, Gaos product, and Vlad and Anatolys distribution until we absorbed that facet. What do Nobu and his men bring to the table? What are they in all this?"

"A necessary evil." Wow okay. Spooky!

"Hey Devon." Wesley makes me turn to him. "If you ever speak out of turn again, i will have you sent back to Russia."

"Whats the matter Wesley, scared that I'll take your job?" I smirked and ignored him. He goes on about how he hates how Nobu speaks to Fisk, and how its finally going their way.

"What?" I answered my phone. It was once again, Wesley.

"We have a situation."

"We? Meaning you?" I got up from my couch. I can hear him sigh. "What is it now."

"The detective you shot, Blake, he woke up. Fisk wants you to come when we speak to his partner, Hoffman. Scare him a bit so he wont say a word." I went to my room and grabbed my suit because I knew I wasn't going to get out of this one.

"Fine." I hung up and started to change and was later met with Fisk and Wesley to speak with Hoffman. Fisk's men brought in Hoffman, sitting him down. I sat behind him, staring him down. My legs swung as I sat there.

"We cant allow this to happen." Fisk begins. "I know that you have... feelings regarding this matter. I respect that. But if Detective Blake chooses to speak out of turn... the result would be... unpleasant, for you and for me."

"Out of turn? You shot him."

"Actually i did." Hoffman turns around to look at me. "And the others, don't get it twisted okay?"

"Do you know what made us go down this path? What led to a decision of such finality?"

"If you're worried about me, i know how to keep my mouth shut."

"If we doubted that, we wouldn't be having this conversation." He sighs. Hoffman was scared, shitless. Sweating, breathing heavy.

"Being informed... knowing facts as they are... not how we wish to perceive them, can tip the balance between life and death. Unlike you, your partner was inconsistent in his attention to detail."

"Well, that masked asshole beat him senseless and broke his arm. It wasn't his fault."

"Yes, I forgave him for that. What i find indefensible... is we were not alerted... that the address we provided had been compromised. They were given to ensure that any Russian who survived the bombings would be properly attended to. Not to aid the man in the mask at locating Vladimir Ranskahov. That led to an unfortunate complication. One that your partner was directly responsible for."

"Yeah. So how long before I do something that pisses you off?"

"Oh the answer to that is entirely up to you." It took a minute for Hoffman to speak. His breathing was trembling.

"See, hes more than my partner, right? Hes my friend. Ive know him since i was a kid. Thats 30, 35 years." I stood up and put my head by his. He jumps.

"How much of those years mean to you?" I whispered. "Because if you back out, ill be there to kill you." He winces. "Fisk doesn't like it when people go behind his back. Bad things happen." I hissed in my accent. He nods his head, agreeing. "Good boy."

In the ring, Maya swung a right hook and I took her down by knocking her off her feet. She hits her hands on the floor and was mad. With the anger she had, she became sloppy, just wanted to take me down. Kazi watched as the two of us trained. She wanted me to teach her, which I did. He leans against the ropes.

"You're too angry to focus." I told her. "Not controlling your emotions gets you killed."

"Then how you do it? Show me."

"You don't want that, trust me." I took off my gloves and helped her up. "You're doing great, its just that you need to work on."

"I thought being part of being a widow is doing ballet and seduction." Kazi says. I slowly turned to him. "I didn't mean that. I just heard stories." He walks up to me. "I heard you knew Natasha Romanoff."

"Why, you want an autograph from her?" I picked up my bag. "Listen, Kazi, you better watch what you're going to say before you get yourself killed." He follows me. "What now."

"Fisk wanted me to take you home." I laughed. "Im serious."

"I dont need a babysitter. Im a big girl, i can take myself." I patted his cheek and walked away with Maya. We smiled and we bonded together. Because of Fisk, Maya and I are friends. Shes actually a very smart woman. I admire about that. "Ill see you soon Maya." She waves and drives off on her motorcycle. Kazi runs up, i rolled my eyes. "Leave me alone Kazi."

"I just want to say, we can start all over. I want that. I don't know why you hate me, even though ive done nothing."

"Fine." I huffed because he actually didn't do anything wrong. Might as well. "One condition." He nods. "Don't cross me."

"Thats fine." We both looked at each other for a while. I snapped out of it and coughed. "Im glad to be working with you." He awkwardly waves and backs away, I just smiled as he almost got hit by a pole. "If you need anything, help looking for someone or anything, ill be here." I gave him a thumbs up and he heads back inside.

It started to rain and i ran to my car and waited for it heat up. I glanced at the mirror and saw the man in mask. Scared the shit out of me. I turned around and he was waiting for me.

"Devon." He says.

"Mr. Mask man, nice to see you again, in my car. What, was my house not homey enough to chat?"

"We need to talk." I let him go on. "Your father, hes a hit man." Shocker, like I didn't already knew that. "He worked for someone big, who is it? Was it Fisk?"

"I dont know. Again, just leave my father alone."

"Does your mother know?" My jaw clenched. "The Russians were after you because he killed one of their own. Your father-" i shushed him. He stops.

"My fathers dead. He did what he did, for what? I dont know. I don't have all the answers okay. I don't know my father, all I know is that he wanted to keep us safe and thats it. Just get out of my car." I sat back down.

"Do you think he was the cause of your kidnapping." My head snaps back at him. I was now angry. How dare he. "How he was mixed up with the wrong people."

"You don't know my father, you don't know what happened to me. Get the hell out before I drive us into a pole." He gets out and I was there alone. I put my head in my hands and tried not to cry. My dad couldn't have known. He couldn't. Dreykov and him? No.
