January 14, 1986 HAWKINS, INDIANA
Your POV:
It's been two days since Tanner left my house and no one has heard anything, even Dustin and their basically inseparable. No one has seen Liam either.

"Maybe she's sick?" Lucas says.

"No she was fine the other day." Max replies.

"Did you call her?" Richie asks.

"Yes, no one answered." I said, we had spent the whole entire morning trying to figure out what happened to Tanner.

"I don't understand this, I mean she doesn't do this it must be bad." Dustin says burying his hands in his face. Suddenly Tanner burst into the room looking drained. I mean I've never seen her like that, she looked like she's been through it all.

"Sorry some shit just came up and I wasn't able to talk—"She said Dustin hugged her tightly. Max and I glanced at each other.

"I um need my math homework." She said pulling away from Dustin.

"Just wait," Max said to Dustin who was ready to go after her. We walk into the bathroom and Tanner is quietly sobbing.

"Tanner?" I call.

"Go away." She sniffled.

"Tanner, were just asking to talk, come out babe." She unlocks the door and she looks worse of a mess.

"What happened?" Max asked hugging her.

"I d-don't know b-but he's in a c-coma." She cried.

"Shhh...baby it's going to be okay." Max hushed.

"Come on let's clean you up." I say, she walks out the stall and washes her face.

"Shit!" She mutters.

"What is it?"

"Kathy's gonna kill me,"

"Tanner,"

"No it's final practice, before the rally next week—"

"Tanner stop worrying, tell her you can't make she'll understand, okay?" I tell her.

"Please don't tell Dustin, I want to explain to him first you'll know he'll worry about me." We nod and we go back to the A.V. room. Dustin gets up and she hugs him.

"Are you okay?" He whispers. I motion to the others to give them some space.

"What happened?" Mike asked.

"I don't know it's something with her brother, but she didn't tell us what happened. Just don't talk about it she's really fragile right now." Max said, then  Tanner and Dustin walk out into the hallway with their things.

"Where are you two going?" Lucas asks.

"She's not feeling too good, and I don't want her to be alone." Dustin said with his arm around Tanner. I nodded and I gave her a reassuring smile.

Third Person:
As the day progressed Dustin stayed at Tanner's house, sitting and basically doing nothing but talking.

"Thank you,"

"For what?"

"Ditching school for me..." She blushed.

"No you were clearly upset, I'll stay with you all day tomorrow, if you don't want to hang at Mike's."

"You can hang out with them, I'm gonna be with Liam for a bit."

"Okay, but if you don't go to school call me."

"I will."

"I love you," She whispers.

"I love you too." He says back
